Summary: This is a classic!
Review: What can you say? This movie is a classic in the sense that movies like this are not made anymore. The list of stars in this movie go on and on. And the soundtrack is priceless. Does anyone know where you can get the soundtrack? I've been looking for years.

Summary: An odd war-movie
Review: I don't know why, but me and my friends in the Swedish National Guard regards this movie as cult. Every time it's on TV, we watch it. It's a little like the Star Wars. You can watch it over and over...

Summary: Only in the U.S. Army
Review: Yes, this is an infantry version of MASH with a 60's sensiblity. But, this movie is credible because it represents the reality of the U.S. Army. Without commissioned officers, the Soviet Army would freeze in place. The Germans and Brits would take the next tactical objective and dig in. But American NCO's would say, "Wee-yu, finally got rid of the officers now we can get the job done."

Summary: A wacky and all-out fun WWII movie!!!!
Review: Kelly's Heroes has the stuff to make this movie a great, all-out fun action movie. It's a great movie to have in your video library and make the greatest positive impact on your knowledge and intrigue the viewer about World War II. Clint Eastwood, star of Hang 'Em High, A Fistful of Dollars, and Every Which Way But Loose makes a stellar preformance as a wise-cracking audacious soldier. Telly Savalas plays another one of Clint's fellow comrades after his preformance in the 1968 movie, "The Dirty Dozen." Donald Sutherland plays the, "righteously cool" hippie tank driver being one of the elite comical characters and comic reliefs of the movie. All the actors menchoned above give their most positive and supreme quality acting. With a great screenplay and story, this adds to the great feelings felt when watching this movie for the first time. For all of you who like true action from a war movie, this is the one to see. Everything from point-blank combat scenes and ones between vehicles, this movie offers a high action preformance. Many acclaimed film-critics agree that this a movie definetly worth seeing. A five star classic which no film lover should be without. Make this film part of your library today!!!!

Summary: This is the movie that I will see more times in my life
Review: This movie is one of the best. For me is not only a movie but a way of life. The way the characters, specially Oddball (the best, a perfect Shuterland), try to survive the war, and how they see it as something not for them, is perfect. All the movie is full of terribly funny quotes. In fact, me and my friends are constantly using this quotes in normal life. The movie a funny, but on the other way very more real and true picture of the soldiers and war. Also, the combat scenes are very good(despite the "normal" fact that 12 americans kill 700 germans), specially the train station (with music), and the cat and mouse game between Oddball's Sherman and the Tigers. Also is, aside of Private Ryan, the best imitation of a Tiger tank (both are T-34 with mock-ups). I can't end without saying that curiously I've seen this film on holydays in Paris, and then again in Berlin the next year (apart from my own video in catalan language). The only quote I understood in german way "Sherman panzer kaputt".

Summary: Full Of Action, Heavy On Laughs...A True Classic
Review: "Kelly's Heroes" has to be one of the best war movies I've seen, despite the fact it's more of an action comedy. Donald Sutherland steals the show from Eastwood and company as the nutty tank commander Oddball. "Woof! Woof! Woof!" Definately a fun flick to watch!

Summary: World War 2 wasn't that bad for some soldiers.
Review: Yes, World War 2 was quite profitable for some soldiers. Watching this film makes me wish I was born in 1920 so I could have taken part in World War 2. It isn't one of the most realistic war films ever made , but one of the most enjoyable war films ever made. Clint and co. are excellent.

Summary: WWII with a comedic twist, but A CLASSIC nonetheless!!!

Wheeeeewww! What a line-up! Great story, great acting, great ACTION...and GREAT LAUGHS!!! You'll LOVE it!!! 29 years later and I'm stilling humming that theme song!!!

Summary: Comradery, destruction , satire and poignancy
Review: A comedy? No, Kelly's Heroes is not a comedy in the traditional Hollywood sense. Full of satire and lots of funny moments, but certainly not a comedy. This movie reveals some of the most poignant scenes in cinematic history; i.e., when "Big Joe" (Telly Savalas) questions the group whether or not they should go behind enemy lines, or in the aftermath of being trapped in a mine field. Telly Savalas gives one of his finest performances as the "tough as nails" sergeant with a soft spot. Any Savalas fan needs to see this role.

Comradery is something that most war movies attempt to establish among the cast, but Kelly's Heroes does it better than any other. Even when characters are antagonizing each other, there is still a strong bond between them.

A different angle on WWII movies, this one is unforgetable with realistic dialogue, battlescenes, settings and ragtag characters.

Summary: AN ECLECTIC DELIGHT!
Review: Although this edition won't be available until May 28, '99, I think we can assume it shall be faithful to the original in MOST respects. PLOT: Renegade Battalion crosses enemy lines during WWII seeking to pilfer a treasure of gold worth god-millions. A strictly carried-out operation, deception, and it's consequent military protocal, fail to the task. So captured Nazis are enlisted to help - they are easily seduced by the promise of riches beyond avarice. THIS video may be the only place you can find the California LT. Governor, and his chorus!, sing the cool song "BURNING BRIDGES" (the Mike Curb Congregation). THE number and enormity of genuine stars in this film is mind-boggling! TIME is WWII. Really seems a WWII, MASH, Vietnam triad. Hippies, dope, etc. Almost certainly missing will be a six minute drum-roll intermission included in the original VHS. I own such a copy, and have never seen this before. Why not just push PAUSE? The Intermission message is written in German. Sprechten ze Duetsch? OH YES: stars Clint Eastwood, Donald Sutherland, Carroll O'Connor, Gavin MacLeod, Don Rickles, Telly Savalas,...
