Summary: This DVD is worth it for Eagle Fist alone...
Review: Eagle Fist is one enjoyable movie. It has all of the elements you'd expect from a martial arts film. It's all here--training scenes, fight scenes, revenge, betrayal. This film is a great addition to your collection. Now for the other movie... Lady Iron Monkey. Marred by cheesy wire work and somersault "martial arts", it borders on the bizarre and insults your intelligence feeding you the idea of the existence of hairy monkey women that can be cured by bathing in herb water for a week. The master is a joke, he hardly teaches her anything she didn't already know. If you can get past that the action is alright, but the wire work really leaves a lot to be desired. The dwarf and the fat guy have to go. 5 star for Eagle Fist, 0 stars for the cheesy off-the-wall premise of Lady Iron Monkey. This DVD is worth owning for Eagle Fist alone.

Summary: Two phat movies!
Review: I gave this four stars because not only are
these two very decent flicks, but because
its a good value as well. Lady Iron Monkey is a fairly light comedy about an ape girl (the movie's original title is actually
The Ape Girl) who is a natural (of course) at monkey kung fu.
She is played by Kam Fung, who gives a sexy & sassy performance and really gets into her role. Also stars Chin Sing and Lo Lieh
(Lo is more of a cameo, but comes out especially in the end, he also has a great fight with Chin Sing). Hey, hard to go wrong
with those two.
Eagle Fist stars Chi Kuan Chun and Chang Kay Ying and offers
some twists on the revenge theme, also has nice choreography.
This movie is well regarded by fans. (..)
ground Zero is cutting us a break, though I think all these
chop sockies should be released this way. I'll keep dreaming.
