Summary: First Anime I ever saw, turned me on to the genre
Review: Bloody, fantastic fighting animations, intresting ways of dying and excellent use of exploding heads. This is the Anime that got me started and the one I compare everything to. I've seen Akira, this is more violent and has better fights. Ghost in the Shell? This crushes it. Wicked City? This beats even that masterpiece.

This is for the people who love the good stuff.

Your already dead.

Summary: An Epic Assault On The Senses
Review: One of the first anime's I ever saw was Fist Of The North Star, unfortunately the standard it set was so high many other anime's seemed weak. Fist is most probably one of the best anime's ever, it's only competition in my eyes is the awesome Akira.

Fist is a pure blend of violence and gripping storyline. From the start you are drawn into the apocalyptic world of the future, and the forces at work within this world. Not a single swear word from anyone, a tiny piece of nudity and 100% pure fun. Heads expload, people are sliced and diced, characters go splat, belly buttons get larger and you can't help but love it.

Disregard any bad things you may hear, this is a classic and will always remain as my favourite animated feature of all time!

Summary: Wow, Ken is speaking English!
Review: Watching the "dubbed-in English" version is the first time to see this movie. I didn't see this in a movie theater in Japan. You know, for Japanese guys like me, I felt something new when the voices of characters were changed into English.

This movie contains some advanced graphics in action scenes such as punching, kicking, exploding heads and slashing bodies. Those graphics were much better than TV version.

However, when I hear some characters (such as Ken, Jagi, Rei, Bart, and more) speak some slangs or "4 letter words," I felt like something different. You know, Japanese languages also have some BAD words, but those are somehow hard to have direct translation. Oh man, those words are not good for kids...

Overall, I also enjoyed this movie. Sometimes dubbed-in-English version makes us feel something flesh.

Summary: There is good animation. This isn't.
Review: I saw this in a small college movie theatre 8+ years ago. I don't remember much detail except for the fact that this movie brought home the fact that all anime is not good. In fact, anything except for scooby doo is better than this. Stay away.

Summary: You can't take your eyes off this one...
Review: This is a "bloody" great movie in every sense of the word. Sure, it is the goriest movie I've ever seen. But from the opening scene, you are sucked into this apocalyptic world until the closing song. Well worth viewing. This one needs to be up with the top anime movies.

Summary: Whoa, gory
Review: First, ya gotta like anime. Do you like Japanese cartoons? Good. Next, ya gotta like serious people and real violence (none of that Dragon Half/Bugs Bunny-like cartoony violence where no one dies and everyone's eyes turn into swirling circles). You into serious anime? OK, now here's where Fist of the North Star turns the corner - how graphic and gory do you like your deaths? Fist of the North Star is a good anime in a post-apocalyptic world where a person of super human strength escorts a mute girl in a war against huge armies conqueoring huge nations (it's an epic).

But where's it different from the others is that the main character's (the Fist of the North Star) special attack is that, when he punches you, your innards try to find ways to escape your body, causing you to explode in a pool of intestines and livers and stuff. While all the other guys do standard anime things like punching, kicking and so forth (well, the main bad guy actually sticks his fingers in you, making big gory holes, but the rest of the people are normal), the main guy causes really gross explosions. i don't know what it is with Japanese people and biomass, but with the large absorbing flesh monster at the end of Akira and the multi-body demon in Devil Man and the explosions in Fist of the North Star, i think someone has a real internal organs fetish. If you don't like staring at people's gall bladders, this might not be the movie for you

Summary: classic
Review: The acting is great...even though it's a cartoon, you really feel this movie, it's a CLASSIC!if you have not seen it, see it!

Summary: This is a cult classic....
Review: if you consider yourself a true anime fan....you must have seen this movie a hundred times......this is a cult classic.....anyone who's into anime...has seen this along with akira and loved it....and you always gotta quote ken shiro....."you're already dead.."

Summary: umm this is a terrible anime
Review: I guess you either liked this or you just laughed at it. I laughed at it. No story beyond save the girl, animation was not good... my sister who is in high school has drawn better more elaborate and detailed animation albeit not as long. Dubbing supposably is not good which might explain why it was so bad but from watching it im not sure what else they could have done.

Summary: The Best Anime Ever!
