Summary: A positive change for Steven Seagal
Review: Enjoyed this movie; nice to see Steven Seagal stepping away from his stereotype parts.However, the best performer is L.Q. Jones, who brings out many facets to his character "Frank". Mr. Jones is a fine actor who should get more credit! He is definitely worth watching. Interesting storyline!

Summary: Can I have fries with that?
Review: What happened to Steven Seagal? Ever since the profound success of Under Siege he has put on more and more weight. (I must confess that he was fatter in Glimmer Man though.) Does he tell the director to suddenly cut because there's a pie baking in his trailer he must eat? Geez, how can he hope to do any more fight scenes with that belly? He has had to resort to fast motion, panoramic camera shots and bad wardrobe tricks to hide his girth. And what is with this movie? Does Seagal think he's an actor? Where does he get off playing a semi-serious role? This is unnacceptable. Either go back to cracking skulls every 15 minutes a movie or retire to Tibet to be with the Buddhists, who hail him as a reincarnated cheeseburger.

Review: What is more to add to this? The story is thinner than in the avarage action movie, Segal plays a doctor, you can't take for real, and where was the action? ..nice scenary though

Review: This movie was a turn-around for Seagal. He didn't do a whole lot of fighting. It starts out way different than you'd imagine. But it was great! I would call it a must-see.

Summary: The Patriot is Seagal's best since Under Siege
Review: I have seen all of Seagal's movies and have enjoyed each, but in the past few years his movies have not been as good as the first few. I bought The Patriot on dvd with a little apprehension as I had not seen any trailers for the movie (was it ever in the theater?) and most of the reviews I have read were bad. But I have to admit that this is one of his best!!!! Definitely give it a try, you'll be surprised and a great plus is his acting skills have thoroughly improved.

Review: I truly loved The Patriot, as I love Steven Seagal, having met and trained with him. The scenery was magnificent as always and Steven's role and performance was impressive. The end was a bit strange.

Review: I have seen THE PATRIOT twice. I would like to comment on it again. The first time I gave it Three Stars-my mistake. After viewing it the second time, I give it FIVE STARS! The action scenes were terrific as usual, although not as plentiful as most of Steven's movies. But the outstanding acting more than made up for that. Cannot wait to see Steven's next movie release. And as most of the women will attest to, he is very pleasing to the eye!

Review: great scenery-sensitive material presented in a realistic manner. the family inner action displayed beautifully. "Wesley and Holly" were a perfect example of close family ties. Enjoyed the action scenes as well as the complex subject matter. Can not wait till it can be purchased at video stores.

Review: This was the best movie Steven has done.. I though it was one of his best.. I really loved seeing him on a horse and in cowboy type clothing.. If you like Seagal, you'll like this movie.
