Summary: Daniel is a WHOOSI
Review: This movie is really funny. Not that means to be. The plot is the same at the other Karate kid films, Daniel gets beaten up throughout the entire film. And then somehow wins. And also, how does Daniels karate get worse and worse with each film.

Summary: Mr. Miyagi's Little Trees!
Review: A film that truly defies the test of time and logic, from the inconceiveable plot to the masterful screenplay, taking you on a journey like an unstoppable destructive unnatural force (which, like the bonsai tree, has a strong root while only offering the human eye its mangled facade)that will put an end to your troubles and woes, the Karate Kid III is a cathartic life-affirming ride from the first credit through each fluctuating moment of the seemingly inexplicable talent of Ralph Macchio to gain and lose weight during a series of improbable chance encounters with the omnipresent "Snake" and karate's bad boy, "Mike Barnes", and unlikely "life-long" friendships created and healthily maintained between a young boy and his aged counterpart from the Far East. The Karate Kid III forces you unwillingly to re-examine both your life and whereabouts, pushing young John Avildsen to the forefront of post-modern cinema. In one single word: visually stunning, charming, eccentric, and elusive. Did I like the Karate Kid III? You know it.

Summary: Brilliant!
Review: This movie is to say the least, great! It's an underapprieciated masterpiece. Those who disagree don't look deeper into it. If you take your time and watch it all the way through again, you might see some of the emotional value you missed the first time. For example the emotions Daniel goes through deciding whether or not he should enter the All Valley Tournaship. Also take a look on his face when Mike breaks the bonsai tree....heartbreaking. These are just a FEW of the things that make this movie so meaningful.

Summary: Not that great
Review: The Karate Kid part 3 fails on many levels. The first movie had an innocence to it. Ater that movie, the innocence was lost. Ralph Macchio looks too old for this film. He's a talented actor but when you're 30 something , there's only so much that make-up can hide. The obsession that the old sensai from Karate Kid part 1 and the millionaire had with Daniel's title was disturbing. I also doubt that he went to Vietnam because he looked like he was in his late 20's. They should have switched roles...the milloinaire could pass for the karate kid and Ralph Macchio (with a little makeup) could have passed for a middle aged Vietnam vet.

The plot is predictable as well...if you're paying attention, you'll have an idea of what's going to happen. I'd take a pass on buying this film. The Karate Kid part 1 is much more worthwhile. It's simple, poetic, and inspiring.

Summary: Pfff... this is tied for first with karate kid I
Review: ok, check it out... this movie is hilarious. if youre looking for a serious movie here to uplift your spirits, seriously, you should probably be given a scissors kick to the neck. john kreese and terry silver somehow are back again and plan to destroy daniel once and for all. why? im not 100% positive but thats what makes this movie all the better. then you get a cast of great characters like John Kreese, Terry Silver, karate's bad boy Mike Barnes and "Snake"... add in hilarious scenes where Barnes and Daniel square off (focus in on there depature and the radical doughnuts they do in the car while screaming) or where Silver makes daniel punch a guy in a club and they go running out like fairies. its basically classic. and dont forget John Kreese and Silver laughing in hysteria as they hold their vest collars announcing Cobra Kai dojo's taking over the city...

Summary: Best Karate Kid Movie
Review: This, in my opinion was the best movie in the Karate Kid series. It was fun, exciting, and really good. I won't give away any of the details, but trust me.....IT WAS GREAT!!!!!! Watch it now.

Summary: Suffers badly compared to Karate Kid & Karate Kid II
Review: Karate Kid II had essentially the same plot as Karate Kid I.
Good writing made it work, and a few extra touches made Karate Kid II enjoyable.

Karate Kid III is just bad. The only real change to the central plot is this girl leaves Daniel before the end of the movie.

Anyone who watched Karate Kid II would not believe Daniel would be afraid in a tournament after having fought for his life.
The Kata in the middle of a Kumite match is an insult to anyone who ever studied Karate.

Ralph Macchio had put on enough weight that the final fight scene made him look like a blimp in a Karate Gee.

Get Karate Kid I & II. Pass on this one.

Summary: karate kid
Review: I thought this was the best in the series, I thought it had a good plot. I thought the tournament was cool I also liked when Daniel goes to talk to Mr. Silver he gets double crossed, and he has to fight Mike Barnes, and Mr. Miagi comes to save him. I thought this was a lot better than the second one and the Next Karate Kid. I thought the first and third were the best I liked the first one too because I thought the tournament was longer. I thought after this one they should have had a new guy to be Daniel instead of the girl because the girl ruined the series. I thought the fight scenes were awesome, and there were more fight scenes in this one than the sequel and the Next karate Kid. I thought this one had the best villians the than the sequel and the Next karate kid Mr. Terry Silver, Mike Barnes, Reese, Snake, and Dennis.

Summary: So bad it's good
Review: If you like watching movies that are so horrible that they actually bring you much enjoyment, buy this immediately. This could be one of the best comedies of all time if you look at it that way.

Summary: Mike Barnes is Karate's Bad Boy!!!
Review: Though he is in soap operas now, this film displays Mike's young days as a brash, fighting machine. He uses "quicksilver" to destroy his opponents, and Daniel-San gets a taste of this ferocity as he wets his pants when he is flung from the Cobra Kai dojo.

Many feel that the real winner in the tournament was Mike Barnes, and I am among them. Perhaps the most tainted victory
in the history of the "Under 18 All Valley Tournament," Daniel wins in distasteful fashion. You be the judge. The downside of the tournament is that Cho-sen, Johnny and Bobby did not compete. But this is negated by the return of Sensei John Kreese and the sensational debut of Terry Silver.

This is the premier movie in the series. A mix of existentialism (another reviewer noted how it was reminiscient of Kafka) and homosexuality, this film is a profound, influential work of our times; indeed, as Daniel-San states, "this is the 80's, you can't be so damn passive!"
Ultimately, the movie is about freedom, human anguish, and bravery. As Camus wrote about the war in Paris (which is the only thing that barely comes close to the intense fighting in this film):

This huge [Daniel Larusso], all black and warm in the summer night, with a storm of [Mexicans] overhead and a storm of [Cobra Kais]in the streets, seems to us more brightly lighted than the City of Light the whole world used to envy us. It is bursting with all the fires of hope and suffering,it has the flame of lucid courage and all the glow, not only of liberation, but of tomorrow's liberty.
