Summary: Seagal gets it right
Review: If you want classic Seagal action, then this is it. This really put him on the action movie map(the opening titles are fantastic). Theres nothing at all different about the plot, just that the action is non stop, gratuitous, and gritty. Stash your brain in a safe place, sit back and enjoy. The fight scenes are amazing, and there are more in this pic than in any of his other films. Fortunatly, the film moves along at such a pace that you don't really have time to laugh at the plot or script. You're too busy taking in the graphic spectacle to worry about it.
Like i said, this film has absolutly no substance, but is really good fun to watch with buddies.... The only thing stopping it scoring five stars is the complete lack of extras on the disc. The sound (including the music) is great, with full 5.1 support, and the picture is nice and crisp.
Get this, its a bargain!

Summary: An unnoticed treasure
Review: In between making Marked for Death and Under Siege,Steven Seagal found time to make this, one of his lesser known features. It's actually a hugely enjoyable action flick, with a 40 year old Seagal ,in full length ponytail mode ,incorporating what can be described as 'real' aikido into the fight scenes, which ,with Seagal solely as an action man and not as an actor, are some of the best he's ever done.An especially exciting scene is in a bar, where he has a kendo showdown with a Japanese drinker, which is truly extraordinary. It's one of his shortest features as well,so it's worth catching if you can find a copy.

Summary: Even better than Jumpin' Jack Flash!
Review: In this action classic Steven Segal plays an Atlanta Public Library security guard, and an ex-Navy SEAL with a cool ponytail, bent on revenge when a local gang of teens check out books and then don't return them. The straw that broke the camel's back was unreturned copies of V.C. Andrews's "Flowers in the Attic" and "The Karma Sutra for Dummies." The mostly all midget cast, (sans Segal, of course, who insisted upon hiring midgets to make himself look taller) is impressive. Not once did I have trouble believing that Segal could whip the daylights out of any of them. Segal makes his song-and-dance debut in this movie with a duet with Charles Nelson Reilly, in a scene at a Jewish Country and Western club called Shalom, Y'all. Dick Van Patten rounds out the cast, in the role of a lifetime, playing Segal's mother. There are several impressive action sequences as well. The golf cart chase scene through Putt-Putt Village quickly comes to mind. Inexplicably, Dick Van Patten as Segal's mother is killed when a nuclear submarine falls onto their house. But do not worry, Segal is quickly noticed by a talent scout and because of his natural charisma, he is chosen to star in a series of infomercials pitching an explosive car wax.

Summary: As usual, a Seagal film is never boring!
Review: In this movie the bad guys are really BAD. But Seagal fixes them good. The ending is very clever. Nice police doggie!

Summary: A cool Seagal Movie.
Review: Make that a cool Seagal adventure because that's how the movie feels. He goes from one location to the next looking for the crazed, wanna-be gangster that killed his friend. He meets a variety of different people and the movie creates a realistic feeling of Brooklyn.

The script does give Seagal a good deal more to work with here than usual and it's good to see him flexing his acting muscles (although just a little) in a few scenes.

But as standard he is also called upon to provide us with action and that he does very well. The whole film works up to a very satisfying showdown that makes the entire movie worthwhile and worth your money.

Too bad the DVD has NO extras at all. Total barebones but at the price...who cares? I would pay more for some extra stuff tho. The DVD is in Dolby 5.1 and is anamorphically enhanced at 2.35:1.

Summary: Masterpiece
Review: Mr. Seagal's performance as dedicated neighborhood law enforcement officer, Gino Felino, is nothing short of the best performance by an actor in this genre. His mastery of the dialects of Brooklyn, as well as the real locations in Bensonhurst, Dyker Heights, and Bay Ridge, secure a place for this film as an important document on the proper way to seek vengeance against those who have wronged you in "the neighborhood." Mr. Forsythe brings new dimensions to the villain role as the demented Richie, and his body language and accent show that the actor is willing to completely immerse himself in a role.

Summary: I'LL BREAK YA HEAD!
Review: My performance as English teacher Rusty in this film has been named one of the best of 1991. I am currently in talks with Warner Brothers about doing a sequel to Out for Justice: Out for Justice 2: Rusty's Story. Vinnie Madano will return. So will Bobby Arms, who is now in a wheelchair. Steven Seagal may or may not return as Gino, since he would rather make Out for All-You-Can-Eat, Part I. A contract for OFJ 2 would stipulate that Mr. Seagal lose 60 pounds so that he could actually lift his leg to do a karate kick. We'll see what happens though.

Summary: Seagal/ Forsythe at their finest
Review: Off course the outstanding martial arts of steven seagal is going trough the movie as coffee and breakfast, but it is forsythe who steals the show with his outragious attitude,It cant go any more bad then forsythe does as the italiano gangster. And just because this is a unreal actionhit that doesnt mean this movie lacks of any extra emotion,it is in fact full of psychology and familytraditions.

Summary: "Let's take him for some porkchops."
Review: On the positive side, Steven Seagal managed to top his first movie. Now for the negative. Just like how every character in Marked for Death feels the urge to speak Jamaican (even the Americans), every character in Out for Justice speaks Italian. However, they don't just speak Italian. Every character is an inflated Italian stereotype. I don't know which I detest more, Steven Seagal's cop character who wears a beret, attacks people who don't know the answers to his questions, and continues to break countless bones, or Richie, the most annoying villain ever to be seen on film. However, this film did offer its share of laughs. Steven Seagal shows his naughty side by pocketing three nude photographs of his best friend and Richie's girlfriend, both of whom are dead at the time of the pictures' discovery. He even shows off his find to some women. The puppy subplot was amazing. The ending seemed like something out of a Beethoven movie, but it still beat all of Steven's other endings for funniest (inadvertently) except for The Patriot. You just can't beat a military helicopter shooting flowers.

Summary: Seagal at his best - a work of art
Review: Only problem i had with this movie - was the victim (that Gino is out seeking revenge for) - is a lowlife. Beyond that this movie is brilliant. Music and cinematography are amazing. Bar room brawl scene is the BEST EVER PUT ON FILM.

Will go down as THE classic Seagal basher film.
