Rating: Summary: A Good Comeback Review: Exit Wound is Steven Seagals best movie since Above The Law. He is playing the type of role that he is known for and is finally in shape to make his martial arts look beleivable; I bet he lost at least 50-60 pounds. I like the way the director combined Steves akido expertise with the new wire techniques seen in movies today. DMX and Isiah Washington do fine jobs in supporting roles. A excellent movie!
Rating: Summary: Don't buy it. Review: I am a fan of Steven Segal, however, his movies are getting tired. The opening scene of a politician ranting against guns in the hands of children highlights Segal's liberal bent. This is followed by a silly "rescue" of this politician from a group of "gun nuts" who are more professional than the Secret Service. Of course, Segal kills them all and even downs a helicopter with a small 9mm that suddenly converts to full auto. The movie goes down hill from there with all the usual fodder from Hollywood; crooked cops, honest drug dealers and corrupt officials. Even his martial arts skills have gone down hill. Not worth the rental cost, much less a purchase.
Rating: Summary: Kung Fu Grip Action Review: This is definitely one of Seagal's best one's yet. If you like movies with plenty of action, then this movie is definitely worth a rent. I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. I was expecting the typical mind numbing butt kicking that Seagal usually puts out. This one actually had a decent story line. I definitely recommmend this one to those of you that are Martial Arts fans and even those who aren't.
Rating: Summary: Exit Wounds dissapoints in many ways. Review: This movie was terriable. There is a terriable story surrounded by terriable acting. Steven Segal is, once again, a loan renegade cop with a bad attitude. DMX, in his second movie still seems very unconvincing in his sceens where he is to display any emotion - or lack there of. This movie is filled with mindless plot twist, and pointless fights that end with a sputter rahter than a bang. The most notable happens right before..yet another plot twist. There is killings of characters that in a good movie would effect the characters in some way, however seem to be forgotten about in this movie. If you are going to get Exit Wounds, i suggest you Exit before you are stuck with this mediocare movie.
Rating: Summary: It's About Time! Review: It's about time that segal gave up those stupid luv beads and has come back to the real world or should i say that his wallet has spoken. This movie was fantastic lots of action and great acting! segal and dmx worked well together and what a great twist as well. if segal stays the course there will be lots of good movies to come he was once a great and i believe that he has taken the first major step to being number 1 again. if he goes back to the luv beads then he can rejoin the land of the dead and maybe this time no one will care how good he is when the reality of the lack of cash kicks in.
Rating: Summary: Solid entertainment for Seagal action fans. Review: Steven Seagal flicks are among my guilty pleasures. I had not seen this film until the DVD release came out, and was curious about the mixed reviews. After the abysmal 'The Patriot', and the nearly as bad 'Fire Down Below', I was eager for another good butt kicker like 'Above the Law' and 'Out for Justice'. 'Exit Wounds' delivers. As mentioned by others, there are lots (and I mean lots!) of car chases, crashes and gunplay. As well-staged as these are, Seagal's moves are what fans want, and he serves up the goods during several scenes, much more effectively done than the fight scenes in 'The Glimmer Man'. It seems a little amusing to read reviews praising the acting in this film. No one confuses Seagal with Laurence Olivier, but this is not Hamlet. DMX tried to act, and was serviceable. The other actors were okay, but let's face it...all of this is window dressing for Seagal's martial arts anyway. By the way, while Seagal is not as trim as in his early flicks, he looked in far better shape than he was in 'Glimmer Man'. A couple of criticisms: There were several audio drop-outs on my DVD, each for only a second or two, but long enought to miss the dialogue (if that's any real loss). Finally, do yourself a big favor and stop the movie as the end credits begin. There is an atrociously bad, very un-funny ersatz 'talk show' routine featuring Tom Arnold and Anthony Anderson tacked on while the screen credits role. It is incredibly bad. Bottom line: No need to pull out 'Under Seige' for the 9th time; check this one out!
Rating: Summary: Non-stop kicking your A** action with a side of laughter Review: Segal is no DeNiro for sure, but when it comes to just plain kicking butt and taking no crap from the limp wristed liberal 'Nancies' he is the best. This movie is his best work in my opinion because for the most part he is kicking butt and not trying to get across some 'world peace / save the environment' message as he has done so recently in movies such as 'Fire Down Below' and 'On Deadly Ground'. You see intense stunt filled action from very opening scenes through to the end of the movie. The casting of Tom Arnold to bring humor to the picture was a definite plus because he plays his role so well that you beleive that he could be a trash TV talk show host. The movie plays well throughout and even has a surprise ending. You must see the talkshow monologue between Arnold and his new sidekick during the final credits, you will just about [pee] yourself laughing if you enjoy off the cuff humor. Spartacus this movie is not, but it is well worth the watch and you will be entertained which is the best reason to watch a movie.
Rating: Summary: steven Seagal and DMX in EXIT WOUNDS Review: Steven Seagal and DMX, now there's a great team!!! EXIT WOUNDS has it all... Action, Adventure, suspence, cars and a lot of good laughs. Definetly one of my picks for movie of the year. This movie is intended for mature audiences and is definetly not meant for young children. Contains violence, cursing, and some nudity.
Rating: Summary: Stuff Blows Up Real Good - 3 and 1/2 Stars Review: I saw this movie at the theatres and it was an entertaining, but forgettable piece of film fluff about a cop chopping up drug dealers and crooked cops in Detroit. Steven Segal stars as the strong silent type cop and rapper (*groan*) DMX (is'nt that also the name of a sneaker?) plays a role in this action fest as well. A word of caution: While watching this movie, do not use too much of your brain. The fight scenes and explosions are very good but no one in this film can act, but then again, they don't have to.
Rating: Summary: Great Movie Review: This Movie Has Alot Of action. Dmx Has A big Part in this movie unlike romeo must die. If your a dmx fan or a action movie fan i recommend this movie.
