Summary: bad
Review: Let's see... not only can seagal NOT act, but -as it seems- cannot express emotions (much like chuck norris) nor speak with any life.

This movie contains a less than average general plot (with the exception of a few nice twists) and less than average acting.

If you are a fan of seagal (why?!) then you might as well pick this one up... if you prefer real acting and a plot at all... look elsewhere.

Summary: A Fine Cure for Insomnia
Review: Most Steven Segal films are indistinguishable from each other; they always have Segal playing the ultra-mysterious mucho-macho "hero" who's the only person around who TRULY knows how to handle any given situation. While everyone else stands around in awe of his narcisstic magificence, he takes care of business, usually with some pretty decent aiki-jitsu moves that yield some admittedly good fight scenes which more or less make up for the worn out cliches that take up the rest of his films. In Exit Wounds, all of that still holds true, except that the fight scenes are as lame as the rest of the film and your only consolation is that you rented this on video instead of paying real money to see it in the theatre. Also features DMX playing the bad guy who's actually a good guy and it's a good thing DMX is successful in rap music because he has even less acting ability than David Duchovany (if that's possible). Really Steven, it's time for a new look. To sum it up, FORGET ABOUT THIS NOTHING OF A FILM!!

Summary: Worth the rental money
Review: After last couple of Seagal flops like Fire Down Below and The Patriot this movie is quite a relief. Very entertaining with some good humor and a lot of bullets and explosions. The story is not something you will follow, its really all about the action. Will be all very familiar to those who saw Romeo Must Die, but not quite as good though.

Steven Seagal plays the same character he played in all his other movies and will most likely play in the ones to come as well. This is a typical cop story where a hero cop gets demoted and the bad guy is never who you think it is. There is really not much else to say. Good fight scenes, colorful environment, matrix like stunts (wirework), and quite a few car chases.

Good old dumb fun.

Summary: IT'S AKIDO NOT KARATE OR KUNGFU!
Review: Hey, you don't watch Seteven Segals films for his acting. It's his great Akido ability. He is an undisbuted master of the art. The movie is typical of his work and for that I am greatful. Steven Segal is quick, efficient and brutal. No wasted motion, no fancy kicks, no super high jumping, and definitely no flying. What is that ...? Steven Segal shows how Akido can work for anyone, not just the super-high-flying-bamboo walking comedy wanta-be's!!
Everyone remember STEVEN SEGAL ROCKS!

Summary: Not a bad movie, but unrealistic fight scenes
Review: I didn't have high expectations for this movie, nor did I have low expectations either. I just expected another action packed, cop in the tough inner city Steven Seagal movie. What I got was some great action sequences, Seagal-style fight scenes and a surprising twist to the plot that made it even more interesting. I almost gave it 4 stars, but the fact that every thug in this movie seems to be proficient in the martial arts was too much of a stretch for me, especially when a corrupt detective wields a paper cutter blade like a sword and has better moves than professional gymnists. A few of the fight scenes were a little too unrealistic, a little too "Romeo Must Die". If you like that kind of thing, then you'd probably give this movie 4 stars. Me, I like my action scenes, but I want my suspension of disbelief to have at least one foot in reality.

Summary: Seagal's Best
Review: Exit Wounds was an awesome action film with a lot of twists. Steven Seagal is at one of his best performances in Exit Wounds. With his Akido skills and his humor makes Steven Seagal the best actor for the part. And with DMX's great job of acting this movie is a defenitely see movie. Exit Wounds has non-stop action, some humor, and surprise twists that will have you guessing. Anthony Edwards is very funny in the movie. If you want to see a good Action Film see Exit Wounds. I recommend this movie to people of all ages except under 10 because of some brief nudity. Two Thumbs up for Exit Wounds.

Summary: Toronto not Detroit!
Review: Good fun. By the way, the whole flick was shot in Toronto, not Detroit....if you know Toronto that kind of ruins the whole Detroit cop thing.
