Summary: Best "First" Jackie Chan Movie
Review: *Supercop* (aka *Police Story III*) was the second movie released in the latest (and let's hope permanent) Jackie invasion. It's great that it will become affordable. I recommend it as the first movie to watch if you've never seen him before. One of the other reviewers mentioned that *Supercop* was not Chan's best effort to date. I agree, but *Supercop* rates fairly high in my opinion. The movie did serve as a comeback vehicle for Michelle Khan/Yeoh, so most 90s Chan films feature many more of his stunts. *Supercop*, US theatrical release, remained fairly true to the Asian *Police Story III*," unlike several others (notably, *Rumble in the Bronx*/*Red Bronx*). For this reason, *Supercop* is a good buy and serves as a fair representative of his work. Both casual viewers and fans will enjoy the insane action (especially Michelle Yeoh's motorcycle stunts!) through repeated viewings. Also, if *Supercop* doesn't make you hunger for more Jackie, then you probably won't like the two or three Chan films (out of several dozen) that might be consistently better. Also, I don't understand the R rating on this one; I've seen many PG-13 movies containing worse and/or more graphic violence than *Supercop.* Parents should be aware that Chan never glorifies violence, but *Supercop* contains more gunplay than most of his films.

Summary: The adventures of Kai-Kui (Kevin Chan) continue!
Review: Among all of the American releases of Jackie Chan films, this one is the best. Though it is the third chapter of the "Police Story" series, the tone is much different from the first two. Jackie directed the first two and they are surprisingly really intense. Sure, there are some funny bits, but the action is razor sharp and Jackie gets really pissed off several times. In "Supercop" the tone is much lighter, maybe due to the direction by Stanley Tong. But don't get me wrong, this film is still great entertainment. Jackie and Michelle Yeoh (Billed as Michelle Khan) make a great team and trade stunts right and left. The final chase scene involving an armoured car, Chan hanging from a ladder of a speeding helicopter, Michelle jumping onto a moving train with a motorcycle, and the two of them taking down thugs on top of the train is something to behold. Maggie Cheung also returns again as Jackie's girlfriend.

Review: Eh. Less exciting than Chan's other American movies, with precious few hand-to-hand fights and many notable lulls. Khan handles her stunts impressively, but again, not much hand-to-hand, and personally, I'd just rather watch Jackie. Shrug. Skipable.

Review: For all of you people that think that there is too much non-Jackie action, you are wrong. There is one 8 minute action scene where there is grenades, handguns, machine guns, and bazooka's. Thats all. There is tons of acrobatic Jackie action. INcluding the ending in which he has a hand to hand fight with 2 thugs. The fight with a karate master, the party fight, the helicopter battle, and the roof battle. Their is tons of Jackie action. And a boat race, that doesnt have any Jackie action. But sometimes you need some other action besides his typical cheesy fights. Thats why this is a good movie.

Review: From what I saw of this film, The girl that he was with did most of the fighting! If you really want to see a great film about a Super Cop. check out Super Fuzz with Tarrence Hill and Earnest Borgnine... That film is better then this mess of a movie...

Review: I am a real Jackie Chan fan.Often I buy hese movies and that is also the reason why I collect them.My brother once both the cd of this movie. It was great and futured music from Tupac,No doubd,etc.etc.So anyway,I saw this movie in a shop in Helsinki.And offcourse I both it. I coulden't wait to get home. From the first minute I saw this one I thought it was Superbe! Jackie Chan shoots,fights,hangs on a helikopter and jumps on a train.This is the best Jackie Chan movie Ive ever seen. By the way,this is my top 10:1.supercop 2.Rush Hour 3.Wo Am I? 4.Rumble in the Bronx 5.First Strike 6.Police Story 7.Project A 8.Twin Dragons 9.Mr Nice Guy 10.Wheels on Meals

Summary: One of the best movies by Jackie Chan
Review: I have seen some 20 Jackie Chan movies, and this one is close to the top of the list. The movie is actually the third installment of the "Police Story" series. As with most Chan movies, the plot is not really important, but an excuse for the action. While low on action during the first half, the movie have a superb ending, including a chase and a grand finale on a moving train. The best aspect about the movie is that Chan shares the action with Michelle Yeoh, who turns out to be an excellent match. I have found out that women usually like this movie, as the female lead is not a "girl in distress", but also a "Supercop"

Summary: Two Supercops for the Price of One!
Review: I like Jacky Chan. He was my reason for checking out this movie. But upon viewing it, I found that his partnership with Michelle Yeoh (a.k.a. Michelle Khan) was what "made" the movie for me. Together, they are the (contemporary, Asian) action equivalent of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. This is not as ridiculous a comparison as it may initially sound since Chan has admitted to having Astaire (along with Buster Keaton) as one of his inspirations and Yeoh has a degree in dance! Other cross-cultural comparisons: Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood (except that Chan is much more boyish and comical than Ford, and Yeoh's character (Director Yang) is more no-nonsense than Ravenwood)? The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman (except that the two Supercops are not electronically enhanced!)? Back to Supercop the movie: Yes, the plot is flimsy but it suffices to tie the film. And, frankly, there are so many comedic as well as action and stunt gems scattered throughout the movie that one doesn't end up caring too much. A fun movie that's entirely okay to watch over and over and over again. I can't get enough of it (Hence my wanting my own copy of it rather than renting one every once in a while from the local video store).
