Summary: Pleasantly Surprised
Review: I have to admit, I am generally not a fan of action flicks of this type (except for Steven Seagal movies, because those are just too funny). I would not have even bothered with this one except that some friends of mine were going and I had nothing better to do. I was shocked to find that I actually liked this movie. Of course, Cradle 2 the Grave is still essentially just another kung-fu beat-the-[stuffings]-out-of-everything type movie, but for what it is, it is definately above average. The plot line is nothing special, but I was pleased to see that DMX was acting quite well considering that acting is not his profession, and I found the soundtrack to be pretty good considering that I generally don't listen to rap. The action, of course, is what makes this movie. I suggest that if you are looking for a fun movie to see in theaters, this should be your first choice. When it is released on video and DVD, this would serve the same purpose. However, actually purchasing this movie is probably a different story.

Summary: JET LI DOES IT AGAIN
Review: IN ANOTHER KICK-BUTT ACTION FLICK, JET LI WOWS AUDIENCES ONCE AGAIN. HERE DMX HAS A MORE CRITICAL ROLE AS FAIT, LEADER OF A GROUP OF HIGHLY SKILLED THIVES. WHO JUST HAPPEN TO CROSS PATHS WITH MARK DACASCOS(BOY, WHAT WERE THEY THINKIN). I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO WATCHING THIS MOVIE ONLY BECAUSE IT SHOWCASED A GRAND FINALE FIGHT BETWEEN TWO OF THE MOST POWERFUL FUNG-FU MASTERS: JET LI & MARK DACASCOS. JET LI DELIVERS ANOTHER KICK IN THE FACE TO JACKIE CHAN AS FAR AS FIGHTING SKILLS AND SPEAKING GOOD ENGLISH. THE FIGHTS SCENES ARE CHOREOGRAPHED BY CORY YUEN, AND PRODUCED BY JOEL SILVER. JOEL SILVER SHOULD TAKE A HINT FROM THESE ACTORS LIKE JET LI, MARK DACASCOS, DONNIE YEN ETC. WHO CAN ACTUALLY DO THE SKILLED MOVES WITHOUT THE USE OF COMPUTERS. KEANU REEVES, CARRIE ANN-MOSS, LAURENCED FISHBURNE, AND THOSE GIRLS FROM CHARLIES ANGELS ARE NO MARTIAL ARTISTS, THEY JUST FAKE IT, AND RELAY ON CGI FOR THEIR KUNG-FU MOVES. THATS WHY WHEN I WATCH THOSE MOVIES I'M LIKE "YEAH WHATEVER". LI USES NO COMPUTER EFFECTS HERE, AND RELIES ON HIS RAZOR-SHARP FAST SPEED AND SKILLS. THE STORY IS STRONG ENOUGH TO KEEP PEOPLE INVOLVED AND AWAKE. ESPECIALLY GABRIELLE UNION'S STRIPTEASE, AND TOM ARNOLD'S LAME JOKES. OVERALL THE MOVIE IS ONE OF JET LI'S STRONGEST.

Summary: Cradle 2 The Grave
Review: Who cares what Roper and Ebert thought about the film, I loved it and I know that any Jet Li or DMX fan will agree with me. Tony Fait (DMX) and his crew featuring Gabrielle Union, Drag-On
and Anthony Anderson pull a huge dimond heist and find super rare black dimonds which everyone wants including a Taiwanese police officer Su (Jet Li). But, Tony's daughter is kinapped and
is held hostage by crimelord Ling (Mark Dacascos) and theartens to kill her if Fait doesn't give the dimonds. Now it's up to Su and Fait to defeat Ling and redeem the dimonds. Also starring Tom Arnold, Kelly Hu and Michael Jace. Cradle 2 The Grave is defently one of the best action films ever.

Summary: Read this before you see it.
Review: I love Jet Li. I think he is amazing and can do fantastic things. But this was his worst. I hate to see Li in such a bad movie. DMX. Those are three letters I never want to see again in that order. He should stick to rapping because his acting is just plain sad. The fight scenes are the only good things in this movie, and don't get me wrong, they are quite cool but please don't waste your money like I did. If you want to see it that bad, just spend a few bucks renting it.

Summary: about this movie......
Review: The story base of this movie is good and the fighting skill wise is the usual fighting sequence that is often used by Jet Li in ost of his Kung Fu style movies. Warner Brother did give him(a chinese) a chance to prove his acting skill in Kung Fu unlike hero or Shanghai knights where the movies looks more towards the joke fighting category rather than a more serious form of Kung Fu fighting eg like Jet Li's movie or the true Master Art of Shaolin Temple(18 brave hero fighting sequence or called shi ba luo han).

Summary: Great Stunts
Review: At first I thought it was going to be some gang banging in the hood but I was so wrong thank goodness. Actually it's packed with action and great stunts from Jet Li and a few from DMX. It tells about the struggle of a father (DMX) who steals for a living. He steals a rare item and manages to get this cop (Jet Li) chasing after him to retreive the thing stolen. Eventually the item gets stolen by another group of people and DMX's character daughter gets kidnapped and held at ransom for the return of item. This throws the cop and the thief together in trying to rescue the little girl and get back the stolen item. Definately worth seeing for the Jet Li action.

Summary: good martial arts flick
Review: although i really wish Bartkowiak would learn how to direct fight sequences, this was a cool movie. in my eyes, it seems to show more of dmx than jet, god knows why. there is a lot more to it than that, but i don't feel like typing it all. if your a fan of either of them, check this one out.

Summary: 1 star for the 2 OK actors.
Review: Summary:
(Think 'Rush Hour' but not funny.)

Tony Fait (DMX) is some sort of thief for hire. He is hired to steal what appear to be black diamonds but turn out to be a synthetic uranium replacement that can be turned into a really big bomb. Su (Jet Li) is an agent for the Taiwanese government (Taiwan is where the diamonds were created) and he is sent to get them back. Ling (Mark Dacascos) is the person that arranged the heist and also happens to be an ex-Taiwanese agent trained in martial arts. As it turns out, Tony and Su team up when Tony's daughter is kidnapped by Ling in exchange for the diamonds. Tony, with the help of his gang (especially note worth is Archie [Tom Arnold]), helps Su find the diamonds, kill all of the bad guys, and get his girl back. Su, in turn, gets to fight Ling and eventually gets the diamonds back.

My Comments:
As noted above, there are only two actors in this movie that have a clue. Jet Li, as always, is great - but that is because he is an amazingly good martial arts actor (don't know how good he is at fighting in real life). Tom Arnold is also very funny. Admittedly Tom's humor is off-color and at times downright offensive, but if you can let that slide, he is funny. So, I gave this film one star because Jet Li's fight scenes were good and Tom Arnold was funny.

The rest of the movie is absolutely not worth watching. DMX is full of bad one-liners that make him look more stupid than cool. The rest of the cast is so stereotypically gangster and contrived that they aren't worth mentioning. Except, perhaps, for Gabrielle Union who is the gratuitous sex tease in the film. But, that is about the limit of her role.

As for the story... One of the worst ever. It does to Rush Hour what XXX did to James Bond - and, just like XXX, it does a horrible job of pulling it off. What's worse, it is also a lot like Mission Impossible 2. You get the impression that the entire story was set up to allow specific scenes: the cage fighting match with Jet Li, the ATV chase through the city, etc. The story is absolutely unconvincing, unintriguing, and a waste of time.

Perhaps if they took out DMX all together and teamed up Tom Arnold with Jet Li...

Overall, if you like Jet Li and feel you can suffer through DMX's horrible attempts at acting, this may be worth going to see. Otherwise, pick something else, wait for this one on DVD and then use the scene selection option to jump from Jet Li fight scene to Jet Li fight scene.
