Summary: Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouf?
Review: After the daughter of a Chinese diplomat is kidnapped, Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker must work out their differences in order to save her life. Chris Tucker, LAPD Detective Carter, is trying to work his way up in the world; "I ain't want no partner, I ain't need no partner, and I ain't never gonna have no partner." Jackie Chan, Chinese Police Detective Lee, is a personnal friend of the diplomat, and he is focused souly on finding his daughter; "I don't care about him, I don't care about you, I only care about the little girl."

Rush Hour has to be one of my favorite movies of all time. It has it all; comedy, kung fu, action, Jackie Chan, Chinese food, Chris Tucker, and more comedy. Brett Ratner does a good job of directing, and showing the opposition and chemistry between Tucker and Chan. This is an excellent DVD with loads of features, including bonus footage from behind the scenes, the original script, and actor filmographies. A comedy that never gets old, and is sure to become a cult classic from the "mini major" New Line Cinemas.

Summary: Full of laughs
Review: This is such a funny movie, that is if you can stand Chris Tucker. Jackie Chan comes to the US to help find an abducted girl. Chris Tucker's job is to keep an eye on Jackie and to keep him from assisting. These two are really funny together. The movie has a lot of great action scenes, which I'm sure took a lot of time to rehearse. Jackie Chan will have you laughing throughout the entire movie.

Summary: Plenty of high-kicking fun...
Review: "Rush Hour" is one of my favorite buddy movies. It's also one of my favorite Jackie Chan movies. Let's face it: Jackie is the man. Without him, action movies [would not be the same]. It's thanks to his risky stunts and his goofy attitude that action films are where they are today. Now for Chris Tucker. Personally, I like him. I've seen him in other movies and I think he's funny. Other critics won't agree with me, but I think the guy is hilarious. In this film, the two play Carter (Tucker) and Lee (Chan), two cops on the search for a young girl named Sooyung (or something) who has been kidnapped and held for a ransom. We get the predictable buddy-cop movie cliches, but it's the humor and awesome stunts by Chan that makes this film a sheer delight.

Summary: Spectacular
Review: Rush Hour starring Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan is the new breed of all action packed and humorous police films. This film will keep you laughing from start to finish. Chris Tucker is too funny for words and Jackie Chan still has the quickest hands of any martial artist I have ever seen-other than the great Bruce Lee. It is a great story of how two cops from two different worlds and with two completely different personalities join up under the premise of steering clear of an FBI investigation involving the kidnapping of a Chinese dignitary's daughter. Of course, Detective Carter (Tucker) eventually fails in his attempt to keep Inspector Lee (Chan) out of the investigation. The two, however, ultimately bond and join forces to crack the kidnapping case without the help of the FBI. Rush Hour is full of explosive action and comic wit. I especially enjoy the feature on this DVD that allows the viewer to see those scenes that were deleted from the film and the feature that allows you to jump to a particular scene. Rush Hour is a must have for all movie lovers. Kudos!!

Summary: Funny
Review: Rush Hour is an action comedy featuring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. Chan and Tucker serve as police officers who end up working on an FBI case. In order to solve the case, they have to overcome their own personal problems with each other. The two end up meshing well and get the job done. This film is full of great stunts and explosions. One would never imagine that putting Chan and Tucker together would make a great film, but it did. The chemistry between Chan and Tucker is odd but exciting. They create a lot of laughs; this movie is absolutely hilarious. This is definitely a must see.

Summary: I Loved This Movie!
Review: When I saw this movie in the theatre - I laughed for days! The chemistry between Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan is amazing.

They are naturally funny and seem to belong together. Brett Ratner did a fine job directing and the story although simple - does motivate the characters to a really fantastic finally.

Lots of fighting (Jackie Chan style) and lots of stunts. The DVD extras are great. Behind the scenes and the scenes as they appeared before and after editing.

This is a must for your comedy DVD colelction. I loved it. They are funny! (Remember its meant to entertain not to be used in a college thesis!)
