Summary: Good movie but there are better ones out there
Review: The first time I saw this movie was when I was 5 or 6 on Saturday afternoon kung-fu TV theater. I thought it was the coolest.

However, 15 years later, as a hardcore kung-fu fan, I tracked this movie down to the ends of the Earth at a little booth next to a XXX video store on 42nd Street to complete my kung-fu movie collection, before I left NYC. When I watched it, boy was I disappointed!

After seeing other Run Run Shaw produced kung-fu flicks like Master Killer, Super Ninjas, and the Kid with the Golden Arm, this movie was not up to par. Sure, the 5 different styles are cool (everyone loves the opening scene where the centipede, snake, lizard, scorpion and toad show off their styles), but I must say that most of the movie was quite boring and there was not as much action as I had remembered. Maybe I am spoiled by new guys like Jackie Chan and Jet Li, but it just wasn't all that.

Having said that, you cannot call yourself a true kung-fu movie fan until you have seen this. Since it's almost impossible to find this movie anywhere to rent, I'd try to borrow it, or if you think this price is cheap, I'd say buy it to have in your collection.

Summary: For hardcore Kung Fu movie Fans ONLY!!
Review: The first time I watched this movie was back in the 80's(I was 6) & to this day I have not seen a better movie. If you're into the Jean Claude Van Twerp don't bother! This is only for true martial arts fans!!!

Summary: No Doubt About It The Best Kung Fu Flick #1
Review: This is the #1 one Kung Fu film out. The Five Deadly Venoms combines all the elements that make up a great Kung Fu Movie. The idea of a school where you wear masks to conceal your identity while you are learning the deadliest forms of Kung Fu: 1=Centipede, 2=Snake, 3=Scorpion, 4=Lizard and 5=Toad to later go out into to the world and never know who your classmates were. They could be the bum on the corner or the richest man in town. When the time comes to use your skills only then shall the truth come out.

Summary: The Absolute in Kung Fu Classics
Review: Undeniably the best Classic Kung Fu Movie. The character developement, the unbelievable twist, and obviously the fight scenes. Very action packed. The audio track could have been better. I bought a new copy and some reason the audio was warped. Anybody else with this problem? E-mail me. Otherwise an excellent kung fu movie with a classic genre.

Summary: Their are kung-fu movies and then theirs five deadly Venoms!
Review: Mere words can barely describe the masterpiece that is this movie. The kung-fu battles and the every twisting plot will keep you eyes glued to you seat! This movie is the reason why I watch kung-fu movies! If you have even the slightest interest in kung-fu movies you should go out and buy this cult classic! Warning: Watching this movie will convert you into a kung-fu movie fanatic.

Summary: This Movie Rules!
Review: Right from the opening sequences when the 5 Venoms demonstrate their respective Kung-Fu styles, you will know that this movie rules! Along side with Enter the Dragon, this movie is the measuring stick for all Kung-Fu flicks to come. While I believe some things are lost in the translation, the story still remains classic and intriguing.

Summary: One of my favourites
Review: While I can't comment on the quality of these prints, this movie has been one of my all-time favorites. I used the Scorpion style on a bully during a middle school basketball game. While I didn't hit him, the fact that I could do the rapid palm smashes near his face spooked him so he stopped bothering me. Funny but true story. Thank you Scorpion !
