Summary: GO NINJA GO!!!
Review: Okay, cheesy title, I personally hate Vanilla Ice, but I loved this movie. There was more humor in it, and the turtles were fun. The first one was absolutely thrilling, and this one matched it quite nicely. I personally like the looks of the turtles better in #2. I also like Donny's voice better. I love Corey Feldman, but whoever did Donny in #2 was really good. Raph was the best looking turtle, and his accent was so perfect!!!! GO RAPH!!! The mouth movements of the turtles in this one were much better, and I loved the humor. I didn't really care for Keno, but yah. He was cool too I guess. Some people don't like the fact that this one is more cartoonish in appearance, sound and storyline, but it started out as a cartoon, why not make it a bit more cartoony? Okay, I could live if there was less humor, but YA GOTTA LOVE MIKEY!!!! Yeah, so out of the trilogy, the second one was my favorite. (I LOVE DONNY!!!)

Summary: The Secret of the "BOOZE"!
Review: Okay, what were the "film"makers drinking when they thought THIS brilliant idea up? Oh, and I'm absolutely 100% convinced that someone was under the influence when "Ninja Rap" made it's startling entrance into this grand failure.

Did these people even SEE the first Ninja Turtles flick? It was dark. It was moody. It wasn't about slapstick humor. It wasn't (JUST) about mutant turtles spitting out surfer-jargon.

To summerize, the secret of the BOOZE is, EVERYONE was drinking it all through this production. Vanilla Ice excluded. He actually thought he was making history.

(I dub this the best... review... EVER!)

Summary: The best of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movies!
Review: Only one year after "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Movie" is released, we are presented with a sequel. And I must say though I find the first movie a fun and entertaining movie, I found this sequel lots more fun and better than the first!

It's only been a short while since the end of Shredder and the scattering of the Foot Clan. Searching for a new home, Leonardo (Mark Caso), Raphael (Kevin Scott), Michaelangelo (Michelan Sisti), Donatello (Leif Tilden), and their master Splinter (Kevin Clash) are forced to stay with their reporter friend April O'Neil (Paige Turco). But soon they discover that a TGRI scientist Professor Jordan Perry (David Warner), might have some answers about the ooze that had mutated them 15 years ago. Unfortunately for them, they find out that the evil Shredder (Francois Chau) is still alive and regrouping his Foot Clan. Shredder also wants to discover the secret of the ooze so he steals the last container of it, along with the Professor. Can the turtles stop the Shredder before he puts his terrible plans to work? Also starring Ernie Reyes Jr. as Keno, a young teenager with martial skills, and special appearance by Vanilla Ice as himself performing a rap song.

The whole atmosphere of "The Secret of the Ooze" is much brighter than the first movie, one good point for this movie. This is Jim Henson's last movie to work on so you will notice in the beginning you will read, "In memory of Jim Henson". He does an incredible job with the turtles and Splinter, and also with two other mutants Rahzar and Tokka.

I found this movie to be a lot more funny and incredibly hilarious comparing to the first. I especially love it whenever Splinter tells his students to do '10 flips... now'. :) Another improved point in the movie from the first is the more likable Ninja Turtle's characters. Leonardo is more of a leader, though he is teased by Raphael about being so respectful to Mast Splinter. Raphael seems to have calmed to hot temper a lot more and is much more bearable. We can see Donatello's skills in computers and his love for science. And Michaelangelo, he's still a 'very cool dude'! I loved it when he started repeating lines from "Casablanca" to April. VERY funny!

The fighting also feels better choreographed though the turtles don't use their weapons very much. The best fight scenes are the beginning fighting against the looters, all the fights against the Foot, the end fight with Rahzar and Tokka. Keno is also a very exceptionally martial artists and it's fun to see him pull a few of his own moves.

To sum it up, don't miss out on "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Secret of the Ooze"! I assure that you'll simply love it! Rated PG for the fighting though not at all graphic. No language problems so this movie should be no problem for younger kids. And the movie is for the whole family since my parents also loved watching this with me! But I recommend you first see the first movie because throughout the movie there are references to it. Also, don't forget to check out the third movie!

Summary: The Shredder is back!
Review: Secret of the Ooze is a good sequel to the first film. The Shredder takes the cake as one of the best villans ever, the story was good, and so was the music to the film. Minus a 5th star for Casey Jones not returning and for the running time being 10 minutes less than the first TMNT. Despite these minor flaws, TMNT 2 still ranks up with the first movie for the most part. I watched the making of "secret of the ooze" and I think it should have been included on the DVD with a good number of other features. Jim Henson put alot of work in helping to create the live-action characters in this movie. Plus, this was the last movie that Jim Henson helped work on before his death and I think the DVD version of TMNT 2 should have recognize the work that he put into it.

Summary: The Second Is Nearly As Good As The First
Review: The second installment in the Turtles film saga is nearly as good as the first. Capitalizing on the strong points of the first, TMNT II succeeds on every level. The villains are better, the one liners just as funny, and the plot still engaging. Die hard Turtles fans will realize that April O' Neal is played by a different, yet still great actress, and Donatello's voice is no longer done by Corey Feldman. Don't blame Corey, blame his heroin addiction. The movie does introduce a new character named Kino who plays an integral part in aiding the Turtles. Performing his own martial arts sequences, he adds some authenticity to the action of the film. Overall the movie really has no flaws. There is a feeble attempt at discussing the meaning of life, but it's pretty [bad]. Fortunately it doesn't take away from the movie itself. It's a fun movie to watch time and time again.

Summary: Not as good as the first but still worth owning
Review: The turtles 2nd movie, Secret of the Ooze is a good followup to the classic original but there are some changes for this movie, the turtles voices are different, same with April O' Neil, (even though she is prettier in this movie, but she isn't nearly as feisty in this one) and Donatello's character is different than the original, in the original he was a wisecracker, but in this one, he's more sensitive and less funny.
Oh and one other thing, there is no Casey Jones in this one.
All in all, if you're a turtles movie fan, then I would recommend this movie for you, it's not as good as the original, but it's alot better than the third movie and the Power Rangers.

Summary: Pretty good sequel
Review: This film opens with tremendous confidence and energy. The humor of the Turtles may be so 1990 but I still dig it. The opening scene in the shopping mall is way funny and a great way to introduce is to the sequel. At the time the style of the Turtles wasn't so stale, so the plot may seem a bit childish or dumb now.

I have no doubts that if this movie were made today it would not be subtitled 'The Secret of the Ooze'. One can hardly expect high art from a movie called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II but they could have subtitled it something a little less crass. Apparently taking place right after the first movie (where's Casey) it wastes no time bringing back the Shredder and the rest of the Foot Clan.

This time Shredder aims to steal the cannister of ooze that mutated our heroes so he can make his own monsters to avenge his defeat. The result is Tokka and Rahzar and it seems like a half-attempt at a live-action version of Rocksteady and Bebop. As you can imagine, this plot isn't very clever. But the movie never really lulls so long as our heroes are on screen.

Look out for a cameo by Vanilla Ice (looking alarmingly like Dolph Lundgren) at the end. It's so dated it may be difficult to watch but as long as your alone you won't have to cringe.

The DVD has wonderful motion menus as well as a great 1.85:1 anamorphic picture with Dolby 5.1 sound. Extras are thin but still it's a great buy.

Summary: Come On, Check It Out!
Review: This movie continues the first one left off. I saw it in theaters a long time ago, and I still remember that day I saw it. This movie should get some credit. It's got comedy, action, music, and more. It is one of the movies that should be worth watching. If your an any person who likes action and comedy, this is a movie I recomend.

Summary: FUN FOR EVERYONE
Review: This movie is fun for everyone! It has enough humor and action to keep anyone in one spot for an hour. The movie gives you just the right information so that you don't have to be TMNT groupie. Also Vanilla Ice adds ton of excitement to this hot flick!
