Summary: Unsurpassed Perfection in Animation
Review: Have you ever met someone who hasn't seen Disney's The Lion King? Not likely, and now it's soon coming to DVD. Finally and Thank Goodness!

Back in 1994, the greatest film of all time was unleashed in theatres: The Lion King, a story full of so much emotion ranging from jealous hate to growing love, and from a deeply saddening climax to a surprisingly satisfying overall happy ending. It's a mouthful to say the least.

To me, this film represents everything a film should be. It has the most powerful story backed by some of most amazing music every composed. The animation is superb is every aspect. Every character is memorable. It's voiced by an all-star cast that actually know how to voice act! Disney must have lucked out on every part of making this movie because the finished product is nothing short of perfection.

Now for the story summarizing part.

This is a story about a young lion named Simba who, in his innocence, sees the world as his playground, and that when he succeeds his father as King, everything will be his for the taking. However, as certain events unfold, he is tricked into thinking he killed his father and runs away into exile from overwhelming guilt. Simba ends up running away into a whole new carefree perspective on life and in the process he gives up his role and enthusiasm to ever be King. It's only after he matures into adulthood that he is suddenly confronted by past acquaintances, and, with the help of an apparition of his father, is convinced to return to take his place as King. Indeed, a very intense ending that will leave you in awe.

If you are one of the minority of people who have not had the pleasure in seeing this movie, then I very strongly recommend this film to you. It is something that is not easily forgotten and will likely leave you in tears. There has been great debate on whether this film is suitable for children. The answer is that it most certainly is suitable. Although many of the themes and jokes are aimed for adults, there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of in showing this to your kids. Note that the film is rated G, rightfully so in my opinion. Kids will not be scarred for life if they see this film when they're 5. There is no doubt both kids and adults (and even teens) would simply love this movie. Take a look at these facts if you haven't heard of them yet.
The Lion King: Highest grossing animated film in box office history.
The Lion King: Collected $340 million in video sales, the highest ever in video sales history.

If that doesn't say something about how good this film is, then I don't what could. It baffles me to think there are people who don't like this film. I am telling you, there is nothing not to like about this Disney movie. For those who don't have this movie: Get it. For those who already own the video, get the DVD because it's going to have tons of great extras. This should definitely be apart of anyone's video library.

Summary: Wonderful Movie
Review: My son is three years old and he loves this movie. He has to watch every day all day. He memorize every word in this film. He knows the movie so well that he can read the book to you with no assistance--just by looking at the pages. There is no skipping a page in the book with him. He knows exactly where you missed the page and when turn back to it. I watch the movie so many times in the day that I love it. He loves Simba Pride as well. I brought him almost every character in the movie because he likes to act it out while the movie is playing. There are no hyenas availbale for sale. This is a wonderful animated movie. I recommend this movie for kids of all ages.

Review: I had the opportunity to see "The Lion King-Touring" in Atlanta, Georgia recently. It was awesome! In fact, I liked it so much, I went back a second time. I had tried to see it once while in New York and was told it was sold out for three years. If anyone reading this has never seen the Play, please do.

Summary: Disney's 3rd animated movie to be released on IMAX
Review: I watched this movie recently at the IMAX screen on Navy Pier. And this is Disney's 2nd animated that hasn't been in stock in years to get re-released. The other was Beauty and the Beast. And looks like next year, Aladdin will come to IMAX and other giant screen theatres. And this is a good film to see on IMAX and other giant screen theatres, if you want to watch The Lion King, whether or not you currently own the Lion King on video tape. As the movie opens, Simba is born to Mufase (James Earl Jones) and Sarabi (Madge Sinclair). But Mufase's brother SAcar (Jeremy Irons) was not present when Simba was shown off to all the animals in Priderock. When Simba (Jonthan Taylor Thomas) becomes older, Musfase tells that one day he will be king and he also orders Simba to never go into the shadowly lands. And aginst both of the advice to stay away from the land from both Scar and Mufase. Simba pretends to be going around the water hole and asks his friend Nala (Niketa Calame) to go with him. They get permission from thier mothers but Zazu (Rowan Atkinson) has to make the trip with them. They ditch Zazu and goes off to the Shadowly Lands.

Summary: Hamlet with a happy ending
Review: Animation's pinnacle. The death of Mufasa is Bambi-esqe for many younger children, but the characters and story in this movie are profound, and the presentation is magnificent.

Summary: The Best Animated Film of All Time! Outstanding....
Review: ...now if only I could find my copy of it!

I feel very strongly that this film is Disney's best ever cartoon and the last of their greats. This means something as I was raised on Disney and while I saw most of the Disney films as a child.

I still feel the Lion King is nothing short of amazing. I've heard people complain that the story is too simple. That nothing much happens. Hello? This is a children's film. If it was complicated they'd lose the kids. There have to be well defined bad guys and good guys. Someone actually said the music in this film is bad? I'm sorry but what exactly do you listen to? Elton John's music in this film is the only good stuff he's done since the seventies. It was nothing short of a return to form and it won enough awards for your comments to be rendered invalid. No Disney film ever has had better music.

The film has a star cast and excellent animation. But where the Lion King gets up and becomes the best of Disney is how it makes you feel about the characters. You care for Simba, you care for Mufasa. ...Yes, the Lion King is the only animated film that has ever mad me cry (Besides Bambi). I never would have thought it possible but Disney had the whole world ...***. If that's not magic , I don't know what is. I fail to understand the people who have rated this film low. 9/10
