Summary: Atlantis
Review: This is an exellent movie. I just got home from the theater seeing it. I have to say it is the finest work Disney has done yet. This is their first movie with no songs and little side-kick characters that can get annoying after a while. I really enjoyed the movie and I think Disney did very well on this being their first "serious" animated movie.

Summary: Good movie
Review: My wife and I took our grandsons to the movie and it had the appeal for both generations. The movie moved so that a seven and five year old stayed interested. Also, the dialogue and the animation appealed to my wife and me. The only draw back that I saw to the movie was the violence. It didn't bother either one of the boys, however, if a child doesn't like explosions and villians, they shouldn't see this movie.

Review: I found Atlantis to be a great movie. Aside from the story getting going a little too quickly for my tastes, the plot was a more complex one than other Disney films -- it actually managed to hold the attention of people over 10! The humour is also well-used, with potty humour kept to a minimum and some very quirky jokes. With some stunning visuals and tastes of the great comic-book style of Mike Mignola, this movie has a great cast featureing absolutely NO animals! (well, unless you take that term loosely.) The lack of singing and dancing is great, and also a wonderful change for Disney who has stuck with formula for so long, but the song over the credits by Mya was rather irksome. All in all, a great movie for kids, teens, or adults!

Summary: WOW!
Review: A fun film for everyone. Although it may be a bit much for youngest audience members, the kids in our screening loved the film. It's fresh and has a new stylized look. Hooray for Disney! It's about time something this good came out of their studio.

Summary: Disney Adventure and No Songs!!
Review: Disney attempts Action Adventure, and gets away with it! Good story, and clever use of humor in the plot to appease the adults in the audience. The animation is not the fancy 3-D-all-the-time stuff we expect from the genre these days, but it is spectacular enough to take you in and along for the ride. Ninety minutes of escapist fun to enjoy with family and/or friends. Recommended.

Summary: People who like adventure, this is your movie!
Review: If you enjoy movies like Princess Mononoke, Star Wars Episode 1, and Titan A.E., than you'll love this movie. It's all about a man named Milo Thatch who holds the key to finding tne ancient lost city of Atlantas. He hooks up with some explorers who traval inside the earth to find the lost city that was banished down to the depts of the sea.

Summary: Were they sleepwalking when writing this film?
Review: After having seen the wonderful movie SHREK recently, I couldn't help being dissappointed in this one. Even worse, I really, really wanted to like it because the Atlantis story is a fascinating piece of history...but even with the desire to like it, I just couldn't. Neither could my son and I think that is the true test of a good animated film. Does it engage a kid's attention? Do they remember the film for days afterwards? In this case, the answer was no. Just to be sure it wasn't just MY son that hated it, I took his young cousins to watch it. Yep, I sat through this stinker TWO times but I really wanted to give it a fair chance. The animation is a bit dead, the characterizations a bit flat and the whole thing is a waste of money - at least, on the big screen. Save your bucks and wait till it comes out on video. And even then, I'd only recommend it for a very boring, rainy afternoon. Sorry, but this one misses the mark.

Summary: Had some pretty scenes.
Review: I thought review in Entertainment weekly saying all Atlantis's effects are old and inferior to Sherk's dazzling digital effects(Which I loved) were too harsh, they sure have been used before, but were still nice. Most of the little kids in the theater seemed to enjoy them. There were some funny characters in the film, but over all the movie lacked creativity. I was expecting a lot since the subject Atlantis is so interesting, I wanted to know more about Atlantis, and didn't like Atlantis been so advanced. Ancient doesn't have to be magical, I like it to be more real, more deep feelings.

Summary: Very good movie, with only minor flaws
Review: I saw this tonight with my 3 1/2 year old daughter. While I think it was an excellent movie (does Disney ever make bad ones??), there were just a few things I noticed that I didn't think were exactly "Disneyesque". There were about two instances that had a somewhat sexual overtone, and there was more violence than I expected. It's not like anyone had their head chopped off, but people did die and get hurt. On the other hand, it did lend some realism. It had an all star cast, and the subject of Atlantis itself is entirely fascinating.
