Summary: The Harry Potter films will become instant classics!!!
Review: 'Harry Potter & The Socerer's(or Philosopher's)Stone' shows us the child in all of us.Harry Potter(Daniel Radcliffe plays extraordinarily), an 11 year old who is forced to live with his horrid relatives, discover's his parents were killed by an evil-wizard and he is to become a wizard-in-training at Hogwart's School of Witchcraft & Wizardry. (...) The school and world of wizards and witches is amazing eye-candy that amazes you in every seen. The acting is great and very well done, along with the action sequences and dialogues.J.K. Rowling should definately be grateful that her book didn't turn out to be a bad book-turned-movie.Amazing, spectacular, stunning, witty, charming, and spell-binding are only SOME of the words describing this movie, the book's are also great too(this coming from a guy that didn't expect the fascinating fantasy world of Harry Potter to be this GREAT!)I give the movie 5 stars-hope all the movies turn out this good, as the other books were just as great as the first.

Summary: What can I say? The movies are never as good as the books
Review: Overall, this was a pretty good movie. The computer animation was about as good as it gets, the actors were great, and the scenes were fantastic. But something about it was just not right. It didn't feel as Harry Potter-ish as it should have been. Mabey it was all scenes they left out(the unedited movie was over four hours long; I'd like to see that version), or perhaps the extensive use of computer animation, but it just couldn't make me beleive that it was really Hogwarts. Still a good movie, but I hope the sequals will be more convincing.

Summary: Harry Potter a "Theatrical Masterpiece"
Review: I have read all four books and am expectantly waiting for book five. I was a bit leary to see the movie about four or five months before it came out. I thought the movie would ruin the greatness of the books themselves and that it could never even compare to the books. But, around three months until the premiere, I and my sisters really got siked to see the movie. We went on the day the movie came out because we wanted to compare the movie to the books. The comparison was great, the movie was very well done. Although a few parts to the book were omitted or changed the movie was spectacular.

Granted the movies will never be as good as the books, it sure comes close. The likenesses and exactness was astonishing. To see them play quidditch, eat at the great hall and walk around Hogwarts was simply wonderful. I and my three sisters and little cousin loved the movie and recommend it to everyone. Whether you have read the books or not the movie is worth seeing. And when the movie comes out on tape I will be the first to have a copy.

Summary: WOW! It was amazing!!
Review: ~I saw Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone in the theaters about 1 and a half weeks ago. And I thought it was incredibly awsome!!!! It had extremely well done special effects, and it kept really close to the storyline of the book. I have to tell you ONE THING: if you're a huge Harry Potter fan & haven't seen the movie yet, GO SEE IT NOW!! If you're NOT a huge Harry Potter fan, go see it anyway! It's really good. Before I saw it, I thought the actors who played Ron, Harry, & Hermione would be terrible actors, since they haven't been in anything else, but they are REALLY amazing!! PLEEZE check it out!~

Summary: It was excellent, but...
Review: I think that the begining was a bit rushed, because you see Professor Dumbledore come in and take out the put-outer and turn off all the lights in the steet. Professor McGonigal turned from the cat to a person and starts talking about Harry Potter living with the muggles. Also, the cat didn't have the outline of her glasses on it's face. The only thing that I am disapointed in is this and they left out many "important" parts of the book. The movie and book is awsome, and also my family enjoyed the movie even though they havent read the book.

Summary: Good Flick
Review: Before I get my head bit off for this review let me explain. I'm 13 Years old and I love these books more than any other books i've ever read! So of course I was thrilled to see the movie. When I got there it was madness people everywhere! Everyone in my school from the bad kids to the popular kids wanted to see Harry Potter! So it really brought everyone together! I thought there would be more little kids but it was almost all teenagers and adults. I know it will probably appeal to kids more but I think the teenagers and adults actually enjoyed it to it's full capacity. People were cheering and clapping and whistling at the screen. Honestly I've never been to anything like it! But as to my three stars. I found myself being constantly disappointed. "Oh That's not how I would imagine it" "I Don't think it happened like that." THe Quidditch scenes were amazing! High octane energy all the way through! But what I'm saying is no film can live up to your imagination and so I was disappointed. It's a very difficult process to try to get it exactley to everyones liking and I suppose it always leaves some people disappointed. I loved the film but I still felt let down. A very good effort a magical film but just not as good as my imagination!

Summary: Bloody Brilliant
Review: I read all four books the day before the movie came out, and had to see the movie. It was well worth it!
The best thing about the movie was that it stayed with the book almost word for word. There were bits left out, including the fact that first-year Hogwarts students weren't allowed a broomstick, tis why Harry getting one was important. And they never say the name of the owl throughout the ENTIRE movie! Shocking!

For those muggles of you out there, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is essentially about the search for the Philosopher's stone (to turn any substance into gold, and the elixir for eternal life). This old legend is adapted into the Harry Potter realm with the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where young Harry Potter starts his wizardring career.

Harry Potter is a legend in the wizard world. He is the Boy-Who-Lived the attack from the One-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named (Lord Voldermort). Harry was raised in a closet under the stairs by his magic-hating muggle aunt and uncle after his parents were killed by Lord Voldemort.

The beginning scenes are amusing. Heck, the entire movie is AMAZING. This is a definite movie worth saying if you have any interest in magical scenes.

I can't wait for the rest of the movies and books!

Summary: Parents: Potter Causes Little Threat
Review: Hi, I already wrote a review, but this is specifically for parents. This movie poses practically no threat to younger viewers. I truly do not feel that these books and this movie will make younger individuals turn to witchcraft. EWTN had on a program about witchcraft, and Harry Potter was mentioned. The priest leading the discussion said that the books and the movie do not teach witchcraft. Even pagans say that this movie doesn't teach anything about witchcraft.

Although Harry Potter's world is full of magic, its function is simply to draw people into a fantasy, fictional world.
We must also realize that Harry's character teaches virtues: such as friendship, bravery, courage, and humility. I feel that this is what children will learn from this movie, not witchcraft.

However, if you feel that your child is too influenced by what they see, and that this movie teaches children the practice of magic, then i suggest you do not take them to see it, and while you are at it, you probably shouldn't take them to see the Lord of the Rings. In fact, I also wouldn't let themn view Cinderella either, because of the fairy godmother casts a spell on Cinderella to help her go to the ball. Heck you probably should stay away from all Disney movies.

But in all seriousness, this movie doesn't pose a threat to youngsters. But if things start to levitate, and your brooms are missing, then think twice.
