Rating: Summary: At last the best on DVD Review: What can i say, this was the best film ever on VHS and now it has been brought to DVD, how could it be improved anymore. However DVD has done it again the sounds are crisper, the one liners are better and the Truffle Shuffle is the best it has ever been. I recommend this DVD to anyone even if you have it on VHS be sure to but it, as it is the pefect addition to any eighties freak colletion.
Rating: Summary: The Goonies Review: The best movie to watch is, The Goonies, and I have three reasons to back this up. First, the story itself helps you believe that anything can happen. Like you meeting a crew of dead pirates while your being chased by crooks at the same time. Mext, the story is a mix vetween the Hardy Boys and Treasure Island, but funny at teh same time. Third the characters are all unique because at teh same time they can be funny and serious. This movie has the best twist to it. So if you're ever thinking about treasure watch The Goonies because of the story, characters, and the great twist. Oh, and lets's not forget the treasure.
Rating: Summary: 5 Gazillion Stars - the classic that defines classic Review: Who doesn't love this movie?! It begs the question - why aren't more movies like this made? My sister and I will always remember that euphoric feeling we'd get when watching this flic. It made us want to run off and find an adventure - to be brave, and bold, and stick by your best friends through the thickest and the thinnest. It's a familiar formula: a group of underdog kids (Chunk, Mikey, Data, Mouth) battle out thieves and dark forces. Ah - but the Goonies do it with the gadgets, attitude, bravado, and quirky flare that only Harry Potter (well, possibly) could compete with on the big screen. Dead pirates, treasures, underground caves, boody (I mean booby) traps, bats, murder, great music, phenom cast, and a very lovable monster are only lightening-speed highlights of this comedic-adventure extravaganza. Play. Rewind. Play again. Rewind. You get the picture.... Maybe when they put this on DVD we'll get the deleted Octopus scene.
Rating: Summary: A review by a 11 year old kid Review: The goonies is a movie with a rag tag junkfood kinda group with a lot of humor but sometimes you have to give it a break [it was made in 1985]and stay with it.I loved this movie and watch it over and over again.Beware though this movie is funny but they say A LOT of cuss words and I mean A LOT.They also don't censor it [1 part but 2 if you get the uncut version].In this movie on the way they find out that greedy developers are making their family move and go into the main charecter Mikey's attic without permission and find a treasure map to a pirate One Eyed Willy's treasure and they also find a artical about a person named Chester Copperpot. Once they get to a certain place they find the Fettelli's [i think that's the right spelling] that are wanted by the police.Watch the Movie if you want to see if Mikey,Mouth,Data,Chunk,Brad,Stef, and Andy make it to One Eyed Willy's rich stuff and not have to move away from the Goon Docks.
Rating: Summary: Beyond all perversion Review: I gave up on it after 20 minutes. Whatever Steven Speilburg and company were thinking on this turkey, I'll never know. I have actually lost "friends" over my dislike of this film. THe problem areas for me were the broken statue scene and the "let's spook the Spanish only speaking maid" scene. The movie could easily have done without those two. Maybe I would have made it through.
Rating: Summary: Generational touchstone Review: Okay, I'm 19 and most every other 19 y/o I know has seen this film, I mean it's like everyone around my age range has viewed this film and loved it. It's a great film and I just wish I was going on the adventure with them. I didn't want it to end. Hey Steven, do us a favor and put this on DVD! We need this! I've been watching this film on television for years and the nostalgia just kills me! I love it!
Rating: Summary: By Far The Best Movie Ever Review: I am 18 and I first saw this movie when I was 3 and me and my boys still watch this movie at least every other week. I know this movie from Title Screen to the Credits and it is my all time favorite I reccomend this to anybody.
Rating: Summary: A Hilarious Fun Filled Romp Review: While spending their last weekend together Mikey & Brand Walsh with Mikey's group of friends called Goonies stumble upon a treasure map in the attic. When reading it and finding the tremedous wealth of it they decide to go in search of it to save their nieghborhood which is being torn down to build a country club. Along with Brand's dream girl & her best friend the friends set loose to find the gold, finding themselves in a subtarranian world full of booby traps and skelatons. With a family hit men called the Fratiellis after them the Goonies have to survive a system of deadly booby traps while avoiding the crooks. The film has a few mistakes like at the end when the James Bond wannabe talks of the octopus, actually the octopus was edited out of the script. And strangly along with the booby traps built by the 16 century pirates there is a water slide that leads to the ship.
Rating: Summary: THE GREATEST "KID" MOVIE OUT THERE Review: I must write a little on this most wonderful movie. I saw this movie a few years ago for the first time and fell in love with the charaters who were all so memorable. The underground treasure hunt through all manner of booby traps while been chased by a few low grade criminals was one of the best cinematic moments of my life. Finding treasure is every kids and grownups dream and this film just catapulted all of that excitement into this action packed film. BUY IT! BUY IT! BUY IT! TRUST ME IT IS MORE THAN WORTH THE MONEY SPENT BECAUSE MANY OF THE FILMS YOU BUY FOR $20+ YOU CAN'T WATCH TEN TIMES RUNNING, I CAN'T GET TIRED YET.
Rating: Summary: Great Family Movie Review: I think this movie was a great family movie and not just for kids. I have seen this movie several times and now my kids love it as well. I just wish we can find the Soundtrack or at least the Single from Cyndi Lauper with the song "Goonies 'R' Good Enough (for me)". We can't find it anywhere!
