Summary: Flight of the Navigator
Review: I have a fantasy crush of Jackie Kennedy's first official white house portrait. That's about the time the first season Jonny Quest DVDs were made when I was a child. You don't need to look hard for a Ivanhoe/Fay Rae/Apollo/Butch/Rollerball/Field navigator wax space ship door, just look for John Kennedy and the 12 diciples at the Hollywood Wax web site. I bought this Flight of the Navigator DVD with the Jonny Quest DVDs. It's natural for some children to have crushes on first ladies even with the Lutheran Ten Commandments. A hamburger stand across the street from my then Chino CA home named Burger Bandit years ago was built because of Jonny Quest that has long since been torn down. That was a good place to get a hamburger when you were hungry. I even worked there for awhile. This Navigator movie is attractively made. The fantasy space ship is really cool. The story is very entertaining and fun to see. I doubt though that I'll ever have another 1978 Downey Savings girlfriend with her name being Carol.

Summary: One of My Favorites as a Child, now on DVD!!!
Review: Flight of the Navigator certainly brings back wonderful memories, of childhood in the summertime eating hotdogs and drinking soda on a sunday night. This Disney flick about a boy's journey mysterious journey through time was long overdue on DVD!! Ofcourse we cannot forget that Sarah Jessica Parker has a prominent role! And isn't Paul Reubens, (aka Pee Wee Herman) the voice of the alien navigator??

The Picture and Sound quality are excellent, as compared to that old VHS copy we all have! Presented in 1:85:1 Aspect Ratio Widescreen. The DVD is lacking any real special features, like "The Making of" or "Commentaries" but it is a wonderful addition to that nostalgic childhood collection.

Summary: good for the whole family
Review: A film by Randal Kleiser

"Flight of the Navigator" is a wonderful movie that is good for the entire family. It is the story of 12 year old David (Joey Cramer). David is sent by his parents to look for his younger brother who is late coming home. David searches in the woods, and after finding his brother, David falls off the edge of a small cliff into the valley below. When he comes to, shortly after, he returns home only to find that someone else is living there and has no idea who he is. David soon learns, from the police, that he was presumed dead 8 years prior. After being reunited with his family we see that while everyone else has aged during the missing time, David remains the same age he was when he fell. Meanwhile, NASA has located a spaceship which has crashed and they want to examine David to find out what he may know.

David manages to escape in the spaceship and with the help of the robot Max (Paul Reubens), evades being recaptured by NASA scientists. On the craft, David learns of what happened to him, why, and how he can rejoin his family. Along the way he meets Carolyn (a young Sarah Jessica Parker), an intern at NASA and various alien creatures that look like Muppets.

"Flight of the Navigator" is cute, funny, and an enjoyable movie. It is appropriate for children of all ages. Plus, it has muppet aliens. How can you beat that?

Summary: Wonderful film!
Review: When I spotted this on the sales rack, my jaw dropped. Though in hindsight it may sound just plain silly, for some reason it just never occurred to me that this movie would ever be available for sale in any format. I absolutely loved this movie when I first saw it on television, and then never saw it again, but never forgot it. Some scenes from the movie were so memorable they have played in my mind many times in the years since. I loved the wisecracking and playful, endearing alien robot. For some reason the scene where they're travelling back through time, that particular scene's really stuck in my mind over the years. I immediately ordered it from Amazon.com, and am absolutely delighted to have it now in my collection. This is the kind of movie that can be watched again and again.

Summary: An underrated classic on DVD for the first time!
Review:
Young David Freeman ( played by Joey Cramer) was living in 1978 then suddenly when he gets a fall, he wakes up 10 years later still fresh and young to find out he's in 1986. He also discovers a knowledge of the farhest reaches of outer space, he is taken in by NASA to be studied for his strange powers. He finds an usual spacecraft from space in NASA then escapes into it to go anywhere he wants to and makes friends with a robot named " Max" and sees some strange space critters.

An underrated gem that is a well made if complicated sci-fi fantasy adventure movie that is bright, interesting, exciting, and has great qualities. Paul " Pee-Wee Herman" Reubens provides the voice of the sassy "Max", the special effects for it's day are quite good in comparison to today's CGI effects and contains an early appearence by Sarah Jessica Rabbit, it's a must See.

The DVD is clear as crystal with great sound but no extras at all, well that's alright cause this movie is finally on DVD.

Summary: Best Movie Ever Made
Review: This movie was one of Disney's best movies they have ever made, why no sequal appears to have been made I can't understand why not, maybe if enough people buy the dvd someone will look into making a sequal and realise the potential in this forgotten classic. Sarah Jessica Parker has abig enough income, and im sure it was this movie that probably made her so popular, I think it's about time she gave something back to the community and made a sequal for this movie. I for one would definatley buy the sequal and any sequals made. I have heard from several people that they claim to have seen a sequal, but with years of searching I have not been able to confirm a sequal made, if anyone is aware of a sequal please email me on wfn@xtra.co.nz.
