Summary: Hundreds burned, never a coaster
Review: I buy spindle after spindle after spindle of these, and they're great. I never burn coasters (that is, end up with a CD that didnt burn correctly and cant be used for anything except my chai mug), and I never have trouble playing them elsewhere. Every other brand I've ever tried has had at least one of those problems. Memorex has always been problem-free.

Summary: Um 40X? Not really...
Review: I was under the impression that 40X means that they can be written at 40X spped. My Drive (which is a 40X LiteOn) will only write them at 12X and Nero says it's only a 12X disc? Is this false advertising on Memorex's part??? Any ideas??

Good price though..but I like the Staples Gold better(Store brand of a sony I think) and they write at 40x ..

Summary: I simply love it!
Review: I was very disappointed with these discs. Only about 1 in 5 would work at all in my one burner. Although most of them will work to some extent in my newer burner, many of the discs have visible flaws near the edge and will fail if written to their capacity. I've learned that it is worth it to purchase only blanks made in the US or Japan.

Summary: Not good . . .
Review: I've purchased a lot of disks made by a variety of manufacturers over the past few years and I've never had so many bad disks in a batch. I had expected Memorex to have decent quality, but at least 10 of my spindle of 50 were faulty. Even if they are inexpensive, they are not worth the hassle.

Summary: Do not use these for music
Review: The "silver" or white CDs with the blue packaging do not work for music. That's why they are so cheap. Only one of my CD players could read these burned discs at all and for the short time that the player played the disc, it was garbled and full of static. I made a lot of coasters trying to get one right and tried many different recording speeds and settings. All produced the same result. And since other CD-Rs have worked, I know it is not my computer system or my players. (Note if you go to Memorex's web site, they have discs labeled specifically for music and these are not them!)

Summary: Memorex cd-r white label / green disks nothing but trouble.
Review: These are full length (700 MB) disks that are able to take advantage of today's faster CD burners (my 24X Yamaha burns a full one in <3 mins!). The price per disk can't be bettered, and the quality of the first 50 I got was 100% perfection. Sweet!

Summary: Good product, great price...
Review: These are great for burning your own cd's or copying data, including games. In fact, they seem to produce fewer "coasters" than higher priced cd's. Good product and for the price, a great buy.

Summary: High quality and low cost
Review: These Memorex blank CDs are simply the best combination anywhere of high quality and low cost. Three factors make these discs stand out as your best buy:

First of all, they are rated for burning at up to 16x, which is nice for those with fast CD-ROM burners. Sometimes you'll find that substandard media won't REALLY burn as fast as the label claims, which is very annoying. With these Memorex discs, however, I've NEVER experienced a problem with diminished burn speed. They cook perfectly at 16x every time.

Second is reliability. Out of my last spindle I had NOT A SINGLE DEFECTIVE CD. Not one defective CD out of fifty blanks! Quite remarkable, considering that many blank CD vendors consider a 10-15% failure to be acceptable.

Finally, the low cost of these excellent discs- just fifty cents each- is hard to beat...

If you are in need of blank recordable CDs, look no further. You won't find a better choice anywhere.
