Summary: Love it-!!!!!
Review: I baught these at BestBuy twice and now they've stopped selling them all together. I'm really sad. Noone else carries them. I love PNY. I've never gotten any other name brand to work for even Audio. PNY playes in my Audio Cd Player, Sterio, ETC. And doesn't break. A few scratches here and there. But keeps playing. Never let me down. Even the RW's are great.Don't listen to anybody else. PNY rules-!!!!!

Summary: Defective CDs
Review: I bought a pack of 110 of these CDs.. about a third of them were defective. The problems I've had include: the CD writer couldn't write to them
audio cds wouldn't play in a stereo that can play cdr's
data cd's couldn't be read on cdrom drives I've used 2 different buners and still have the same results.
buring software: nero 5.5+
burners: pletor plexwriter 12/10/32 & the crdw/dvd combo drive in sony vaio laptops.

Summary: very good as I experienced.
Review: I bought the 110 package also at Best Buy last Thanksgiving
day. As I have experienced so far, these discs work well
with my computer and cd-player. I think it is good quality.
Several friends of mine also use this brand CD-Rs and think it is
ok.

Summary: Burnin' at 8x and doing fine...
Review: I don't know about 16x, but I'm burning at 8x and everything's working just fine. Some people with CD-R identifying programs have been unable to determine what dye it is. You can actually tell by the light green color, but just to confirm, I called PNY, and the dye IS in fact phthalocyanine, which is the most reliable dye out there. Tried it myself: burned a music CD-R on PNY and another on a Pacific Digital CD-R. Put them in the window for a month and a half. PNY still played fine. Pacific Digital started to skip. A few more weeks, the Pacific Digital dye gradually turned magenta (at which point the PNY began to skip). There's also the "gold precision" brand of PNY CD-R's that uses an acrylate layer on the label-side, which helps protect it from scratches. If you're looking for that added bit of protection, get those, but otherwise, these should do fine...

Most is covered by text from PNY like "Need Memory?" or their big PNY Technologies branding. I've never had a set of cd-rs that had the film on the top flake off as easy as these do. Spend a few extra dollars and invest in Memorex.

Most is covered by text from PNY like "Need Memory?" or their big PNY Technologies branding. I've never had a set of cd-rs that had the film on the top flake off as easy as these do. Spend a few extra dollars and invest in Memorex.

Summary: PNY is a very good and trustworthy brand of media...
Review: Ok I will say that I haven't ordered the 50 pk spindle yet, but I HAVE burned with 10 packs and 20 packs...I suppose they are the exact same, but anyways...I have had no problems yet. These have VERY good sound quality (that is, if you are burning music), and they sound EXACTLY like the quality of a regular CD. I even did a test of burning a CD for somebody, and comparing the results to the regular cd. Couldn't see a difference. These are GREAT CD-Rs to burn with, and I would reccomend them to anybody. The only flaw of this is that the bottoms seem weak, and they get scratched quite easily if listened to and handled with the unproper care. I guess the darker the dye, the better the protection (in CD-Rs, anyways). And since this has a silverish-greenish bottom to it, it wouldnt classify as a dark dye. I actually was surprised because I hadnt seen a CD-R of that light dye before. It almost looks like a darker silver. Anyways...it is a great item, ....

Review: Sounds good, now if it were only true... These disks will NOT record over 4x, so if you got a fast CD burner, you'll be ripped off.

Since there was a rebate that made my cost [$$$] and I got the impression it was only when played in an audio CD player, I thought I would give them a try anyways. He was right. They are totally useless for audio and would not work correctly either on an audio CD player or in the computer CD-ROM or CD-RW players. If you can't trust them for audio, you shouldn't trust them for data. I would avoid these CD-R's.
