Summary: One of the few high quality CD-Rs left
Review: Almost all CD-R makers today have switched to lower quality Made in Taiwan discs. Fujifilm is one of the few brands remaining that still use high quality Made in Japan discs.
Their overburn capacity in my experience is about 720MB.

UPDATE: Fujifilm has began to to cheaper discs in some 50 disc spindels as well, so be careful.

Summary: Watch out! These could be Ritek's!
Review: Be wary of Fuji's nowadays, since they seem to be made by Ritek, who makes really poor quality CDRs. You have to check the package to be sure that they are really Ritek's for sure. But I am pretty sure that at this cheap price, they have to be manufactured by Ritek. So stay away!

Summary: Great for storing the data without the worry of failure
Review: For backing up animation frames, mp3s, and video files with no compression/compression. Fuji haven't done me wrong at all. Those other brands say that they are compatible with all media, but I have found that they aren't as good quality as these.
My 2 choices for CDR media are Sony's brand and these. Plus they really do burn well at 16X =)

Summary: - - - -Excellent CDR's for a LOW PRICE- - - -
Review: Fuji has done a great job producing thes CDR's! These are great for making music cd's, data discs, and compilations.

80 Minutes 700 Megabytes! Get all of your files or Mp3's onto just 1 or 2 of these things.

I used every single one and they worked perfectly!

I also recommend the TDK brand of CDR's!

Summary: lousy price -- not competitive
Review: Fuji's that are:

made in Japan;
have an opaque inner ring with an uneven surface;and
have a serial number printed on the inner ring that ends in 74 or 80 (depending on disc length)

are made by Taiyo Yuden and are of excellent quality. However, a 50 pack spindle for $30 is too high a price to pay. I recommend you look in the circulars in the Sunday papers and you eventually you will find some retail outlet selling Fuji 100 packs for $30.OO

Summary: Good Quality But Failed in Light Fastness Test
Review: I bought a spindle of this Fuju CDR made in Japan by TY. Physical quality is number one among the brands that I ever used, burning quality and compatibility are also number one.

Then I burned one disc of each brand, and put them on my window for a sun burning test. After 20 days, Fuji lost its color completely, not readable anymore. I was surprised.

If you are interested, here is the result for some other brands,

Verbatim, can only burn at 16x in my 24x burner, 70% C2 error in old cd drive after 40 days

Maxell, can only burn at 8x in my 24x burner, less than 1% C2 error in old cd drive after 40 days, 0% C2 error in cd burner

Memorex, can burn at 24x, 30% C2 error on day 1 in old cd drive, 2% C2 error after 40 days in cd burner. Worst compatibility.

Fuji, can only burn at 16x, 0% C2 error on day 1 in old cd drive, died after 20 days.

Fuji was made in Japan, all others in Taiwan, all rated at 40x or 48x.

I will try Maxell CD-R pro next to see how long it will last under the sun.

Summary: Good Quality But Failed in Light Fastness Test
Review: I bought these cds a lot of time ago and I remember that I lost 5 cds because of problems in the burning process (10% of Cds was lost).

The quality of this CDs is not very good. The upside surface is very vulnerable and you can even scratch it easily only by touching at it. You can easily remove the surface completely! The result is going to be an unusable transparent CD.

Many of these discs are right now a waste because of the problems with the surface and hardly will buy cds from this manufacturer again. Though, I understand, it's a good price.

Please be aware of the quality.
