Rating: Summary: Great Price and Great Product Review: I disagree with sid60's review, I have been using the Memorex brand for more than a year now, and so far, I never got a single bad disc. It has to be his cd writer, computer, or software. I have a 52x Lite-On drive, and I use burning sofwares like Nero Burning Rom, Clone CD, CDRWIN, DiscJuggler to burn cds all the time, againt, never got a problem. Also, the cds that are made in Taiwan are in high quality as well. As of 11/12/2003, it's only $9.98 for one 50-Pack Spindle, everyone should stock up, I did, hehe.
Rating: Summary: they changed them Review: I had found these blanks very very reliable. They changed them now though, out of my last 3 (which were my only 3) packs of cds, i had not had one defective cd. In the pack that i just bought from here i have already hat about 7 defectives out of the 20 ive used. You should really find a better brand now because they have been ruined.
Rating: Summary: These are great CD-Rs Review: I have used Memorex CD-Rs exclusively for a few years now, and can honestly say that they are wonderful to record with. They are very dependable whether burning at high or low speeds, unlike ProMedia CD-Rs, which I've also tried. Other reviews have stated that recorded CDs often do not work, but I have not experienced any problems with bad CDs or recordings on the CD writers I have used.Overall, this is a very good product with excellent value. I would recommend it to anyone using problematic or more expensive CD-Rs.
Rating: Summary: What color are the bottom of these cd's? Review: I love memorex. It's the only brand that works with all my stuff. Does anyone know what color the bottom of these cd's are? I don't like the ones with green bottoms.
Rating: Summary: Not good for video! Review: I purchased these Memorex CD-R for primarily using them to burn movies in svcd format. Using 24x write from my 48x burner, the first 4 discs has many skips and freezes throughtout the length of the movies. One disc even has the subtitle frozen in one place for the entire movie. Meanwhile, the same movies I burned with the same speed using TDK 48X CD-R would play flawlessly. I have not used these Momorex CD-R for any data backup yet, so I can't comment on that.
Rating: Summary: Too Cheap of media! Review: I thought I had great respect for memorex, but after this I do not. I would say this spindle that I picked up on a whim becuase of price is about 50/50. Half burn and the other coaster. This is on a Plextor which never coastered until now. I dunno probably the last time I buy media online from a big store. Anymore I choose to go to media specialty stores, they sell good media and they give you a good price. Don't know what happened to quality control but it went downhill for memorex. Spend less on commercials and get yourself decent products.
Rating: Summary: MPEG1 videos Review: I use Memorex & Sony CD-Rs to create MPEG1 CD-R of various TV one-hour shows/series/episodes. I now have complete set of several TV shows - so if it's several years before they go to DVD, at least I'll have a digital copy. The MPEG1s can be played on any computer that has Windows Media Play version 6 or higher. The MPEGs WILL NOT PLAY on standalone DVD players (yet/pre 2002 models).
Rating: Summary: Worked for Me Review: I used 5 of them so far. I burn the CDs with my HP CD burner for my Panasonic portable player. No problem at all.
Rating: Summary: The BEST, Not A Single Bad Disc! Review: I've been using the Memorex brand for a long time now, and I never got a bad cd of any kind. I have the Plextor 32x cdrw drive.
Rating: Summary: Good discs Review: I've been using them for movies (AVI & SVCD) with excellent results. So far I've had no bad discs, no errors, and successful playback on 3 CD players as well as on my home video system's DVD player.
