Summary: Great, but you'll have to wait to see it!
Review: Loved Tarzan. but the DVD *forces* you to sit through several trailers before allowing you to actually see the movie. This is no fun when your 2-year old is screaming for Tarzan! Disney programmers have single-handedly negated the instant access features of the delivery system. Now we insert the DVD and watch something else until we're sure the movie is ready to play. Disney, get a clue!

Summary: FANTASTIC
Review: I believe Disney has completely out done themselves this time. Even though some people did not like the previews I think they were informative and mt 3 small grandchildren had no problem sitting through them...in fact the movie Dinosaur...which was advertised at the beginning...is to become a big hit in our household as well as all the other Disney movies from the past. Tarzan is a great movie with all of the Disney qualities and some of the most outstanding special effects that I've ever seen.

Summary: DVD Forces you to watch previews
Review: I really enjoyed the movie in and of itself I hated the fact that on the dvd they give you no way to bypass 6 minutes of previews before letting you watch the film.

Summary: tarzan
Review: Excellent family entertainment. If you plan to purchase a family movie sometime soon, make it this one. It will be one your children(and you) will enjoy over and over!

Summary: Tarzan: WHAT'S UP WITH THIS!
Review: I think Tarzan was pretty good, except for all the violence! I mean, about 6 people died, and that Clayton guy was shooting everyone,Kerjack was not a very nice husband or father, and even Tarzan the "hero" of the whole movie was kind of rough. I really Disney could have done a better job.

Summary: shame on Disney
Review: yes, this is a great film, good video and audio. BUT shame on Disney for abusing the DVD technology. They added 4 trailers and 1 Disney commercial before the movie, right after the copyright info. Just as the copyrights, you can not break out of these commercials or fast forward. Great for Disney, a captive audience every time you load the DVD.

Shame on them, since they seriously turned off buyers like myself. If I could return this, I would!

Summary: The Best DVD Disney has to offer
Review: I just finished watching the Tarzan DVD with my fammily and the quality of the animation and story is Excellent. The stunning animation and soudtrack is reason enough to purchase this DVD, but it comes with so many more extras including; a on screen trivia game, a on screen story book, a phil collins music video, behind the scences stuff, cool trailers and a DVD ROM game ( I dont have a computer DVD ROM Drive..yet) Not to mention language selections in English, Spanish and French.

A Must buy for any Family or Disney Lover.

Summary: Great Movie ruined by Previews Again
Review: Tarzan is yet another wonderful animated masterpiece from our friends at Disney. It has one of the most memorable soundtracks in recent history (thanks to the wonderful work of Phil Collins).

This wonderful family entertainment now available on DVD is severely tainted by a trend Disney started on their VHS format, and have now extended to the DVD format. What I speak of is previews at the beginning of the movie. This DVD has over 5 minutes of previews at the beginning before you get to the DVD menu which allows you to start the movie... Because of the way they have done this (as part of the Title sequence) you cannot skip to the menu, you have to live through them (luckily fast forward still works).

My complaint, coming from a household with small children (together with over 90% of the purchasers of this DVD) they really hate having to sit through the preview to watch their movie. (Two year olds are expecially prone to screaming until the movie starts...).

I can only hope that they will reconsider this poor trend, and rely upon other medium to sell their future releases.

Summary: Great DVD Features, Annoying Forced Previews
Review: The Tarzan DVD has a nice Storybook reading feature and some other bonuses, but also has an extremely RUDE feature: When you first start the DVD, Disney shows you 3 minutes of previews before launching the main menu. No fastforwarding or skipping allowed! What a dumb way to cheapen an otherwise great product.

Summary: No violence!
Review: I don't see how the reviewer could be so appreciative of no violence in Tarzan. The movie was wonderful, but very inappropriate for young children. Tarzan does away with the bad guy at the end by throwing him off a tall tree. The bad guy subsequently gets strangled by the vines. No violence? Give me a break!
