Rating: Summary: Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao!!! Review: Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! I will begin by stating my #1 kung fu movie of all time is "Fist of Legend".(Jet Li. If you haven't seen this title....Please do, it is a remake of Bruces' classic "Fist of Fury" and it surpassess it...Majorly, and don't question me, it's the best ever.) This is #3 in my top 10.. Yep, it's amazing. I just hope you go get it, for your sake.Th story is deep, (Revenge is only a fraction of the plot.)and it has very likable characters. Lam Ching Ying is the best in this film. Biao is awsome, but it's all about the Wing Chun master. This exciting form, just about never caught on film,(It's the first time I've seen it besides the fantasy title "Wing Chun" with Michelle Yoeh[Also great]) has juiced me up to try to find a school of Wing Chun. I've always wanted to take up a style, and I've found one. Exhilarating!! The action direction won an award in China. This choreography can be compared to Yuen Woo Ping's brilliance because it shows just the right angle you need to see at just the right time. The editing is delicious! Slow motion shots, hard hitting realism, and tons of it. Sammo moves like a limber gymnast here, definately in top form. Lam Ching Ying will entertain you with his awe-inspiring technique, while the popcorn flies in your mouth and your eyes bug out at the screen. Pure action and adventure for any adult!....Wow.
Rating: Summary: True Martial arts Classic!!! Review: The only thing wrong with this film, is if you don't see it. One of the BEST films ever showing the amazing style of wing chun. An all-star cast as well including many famous Kung fu stars highlighted by Sammo Hung, and the star Yuen Biao. The fights in this film are choreographed perfectly, and the showcase of both amazing styles and forms, the acrobatics are just as amazing. The story is easily followed and it's a very good/deep plot. Like I said before there is nothing wrong with it. IF you collect kung fu films you must have this one or else your collection will never be complete.
Rating: Summary: Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao!!! Review: Two of the best martial arts film actors of all time play great roles in this film. Yuen Biao is a rich man's son who thought he was a tough fighter, but comes to find out his father's been secretly paying men to lose the fights. After finding out Yuen begs a martial arts master from an opera troop to train him. The man refuses, but Yuen's father buys the opera troop and lets his boy travel with the opera to try and get the man to teach him martial arts. The man eventually gives in, but then a murder plot to kill him sends them both into seclusion at the man's brother's (Sammo Hung) house. The brother is also a martial arts master and teaches Yuen and tricks his brother into accepting Yuen as his student. Soon after the man is murdered and Yuen must seek to prove himself. This movie is worth it just to see Sammo Hung twirling a paint brush. It's yet another movie where he steals the show with his awesome martial arts skills. Yuen Biao is an excellent pupil and triumphs in the end. Go buy it. It's a must have.
