Summary: Very Poor
Review: The movie attempts to carry on a story without Bruce Lee's voice, which gets to be pretty irritating because without his voice all his energy is not conveyed properly - instead you have many [poor] yelps and yows that make you want to roll your eyes and scream, especially if you like Bruce Lee. This movie was bad enough going in fast forward, so to people that actually sat through the whole movie, i give much respect for that kind of patience. Even when we actually do see Bruce in the end, again, i dont think i even hear a real word come out of his mouth, from his own voice. 5 minutes into the movie and i knew that this film was truly not a worthy Bruce Lee film. It wouldve been better not to have made it at all; Bruce Lee does not fight [poorly], and neither should his movies play [poorly]. Bottom line - this movie is at worst a sorry attempt to pay homage to Lee, and at best a great way to help you get ready for bed, or to [make you mad].

Summary: The Master, The Legend
Review: I agree, this movie would have probably been the greatest Martial Arts movie ever if Bruce was able to finish it up himself. The movie was great even with the Bruce Lee double. The only thing i felt they should have left out, were the cut scenes of his other films, cause we already know it's not really him anyway ! it just made the movie a little cheesier. But a great movie regardless !

Yes, you can get the SAME sound & picture with a decent VHS version of the movie.Wait for a better release!! Summary: Game is a posthumous tribute to a gifted master
Review: the viewer must know that the end of the film was actually filmed first... and Lee actually performs quite elegantly (in the Jeet Kwon Do style he cultivated) the serial fights w/ bamboo stik, nunchuckoos, then the finale... Sadly, the master Lee suffered cerebral oedema and subsequent medullary herniation secondary to a specious allergic rxn... the film then is clearly ersatz! But, if one enjoys observing the master thwart his opposition, then, despite its glaring deficiencies, one will appreciate the work...

Review: This movie had the potential to be one of the greatest martial arts films ever. If only the real Lee was able to finish this film to the end. He is truly a legend !

Summary: It's not the Master!
Review: Bruce Lee unfortunately faced his death tragic having only completed a few scenes in the Movie. The producers did not seem to make much of an effort in hiding the fact that this was not Lee, as we can plainly see it is not him. The few fight scenes Lee did perform are fantastic (as you would expect) but all in all I was quite dissapointed at this poorly made movie.

Summary: One big joke
Review: This movie is just pathetic. The movie says that Bruce Lee is the star but instead its some other guy pretending to be Bruce Lee (due to Lee's death during the making of this film). They take scenes from other Lee movies and stick them in this movie. There is even one scene where there is a cardboard cut-out of Bruce Lee's face on the double. This movie is only good if your looking for a movie that is just one huge joke or if your dead drunk.

Summary: Carl Miller isn't the only one who loses...we all do
Review: This weekend I had the misfortune of watching this whole movie, the first time I'd watched it all in about 6 years. Like most people, usually I just watch the actual Bruce footage at the end, and skip everything in between. But my roommate and I were up for some punishment and sat through the movie. Here's some funny things I noticed that may help you get through your next viewing: 1. How smashed Gig Young is throughout the movie. The guy was obviously tanked on something during shooting. Notice his occasional slurring of lines, especially any scene in which he's on the telephone. Sadly, I read on the Internet Movie Database that Young killed himself in '78, as well as his wife. Notice that the year of his suicide was 1978, the same year GOD was released to the world...coincidence? 2. Dean Jagger. The poor man seems almost senile, like he's not very sure where he is. I love the way he screams his lines, especially when he yells "Kill! CARL!!" During the Bob Wall/Sammo fight. Even though he appears to be at death's door in this movie, Jagger amazingly lived another 13 years. 3. Speaking of Bob Wall, I love that expression on his face in the locker room fight, after the fake Bruce knocks him on his behind. Bob's mouth is hanging open and he blinks a couple of times in shock, looking like he's just had the greatest sexual experience of his life and it's blown his mind. 4. The thugs in this movie are even less threatening than those in Way of the Dragon (aka Return of the Dragon). That sounds impossible, doesn't it? 5. The stand-in for Kareem is also hilarious. The guy looks like he's barely over 6 feet. 6. Notice how that even though this is Hong Kong, every main character in the film save for the fake Bruce is a white American. White Americans controlling a crime ring in Hong Kong, white American staff reporters for Hong Kong papers, etc. Just like real life, huh? 7. The ineffectual assassin "Stick." Watch how he "perfectly" blends in with the extras and stagehands on the set of the Fist of Fury rip-off, in which the fake Bruce rushes the cameras and is shot (in the cheek?) by Stick. As if the people on the set wouldn't notice some sneaky-looking stranger with shifty eyes, dressed in the classic mafia get-up, carrying a revolver. 6. Four words: "You lose, Carl Miller!" It's a shame that Game of Death is so bad, especially considering that the final ten minutes, with the actual Bruce Lee in scenes that he shot for the REAL Game of Death, contain some of the best martial arts footage ever seen on film. No one knows how much of Game of Death Bruce actually completed, however there is at least 30 minute's worth, all of which will be seen in the soon-to-be-released documentary Warrior's Journey. So keep your eyes peeled for that: Game of Death looked like it would have been Bruce's best movie yet, so it will be great to finally see it in the way he intended it to be seen, and NOT full of cut-rate B actors and beard-wearing imposters.

Summary: I agree that it's exploitation but ...
Review: one of the best martial arts movies ever made.First let me comment on something that noone else has , John Barry's music:It's fantastic and it really gives the movie an epic tone. My favorite kind of music is classical so perhaps people with different tastes won't dig it very much but that's how I feel. In particular the title sequence and the fight with Robert Wall in the locker room are incredible.The later I think is the best martial arts fight sequence ever made.Pay special attention to the final "execution scene" and the accompaniment provided by the percussion.Is it the double who appears on that sequence ??? He looks very much like Bruce Lee.As for Jabar his round kicks ( maybe that's not the proper term ) look awfully unrealistic don't you think ? Nevertheless the idea of a tower with different opponents on every floor is fantastic and it reminds me of computer games.I wonder who inspired whom ?

Summary: If you're a Lee fan, this will leave you feeling ripped off!
Review: The most obvious problem with this Bruce Lee film is the rather conspicuous absence of Bruce Lee! I could understand the necessity of occasionally replacing Bruce with a double due to his tragic death during filming but I wasn't prepared for the fact that, other than the action scenes in the last 20 minutes, the double appears in 95% of the movie (sounds like an exaggeration but I assure you it is not!). Also, the "bad guy" character (Dr. Land) is by far the weakest villain of any Lee film. If you are considering purchasing this movie because you are a Bruce Lee fan, I have two pieces of advice. First, rent the movie to see if this is something you really want to spend your money on. Second, fast forward to the last 20 minutes which feature outstanding action scenes pitting Bruce (the real Bruce) against such opponents as Chuck Norris and Kareem Abdul Jabbar (those scenes are the only thing which stopped me from giving the movie only one star). The rest of the movie isn't worth watching.
