Rating: Summary: An entertaining action film starring Jackie Chan Review: "Operation Condor" is similar in style to "Rush Hour" or "Mr. Nice Guy". These are examples of Chan`s later movies in which he tries to burst through to America by breaking free from his Hong Kong roots. The production values are far glossier than his earlier movies - this one is shot on location in the Phillipines, Spain and Morroco. In the film, Chan and three female friends (one Japanese, one Chinese, one German) journey into the desert to find hidden gold - and get into comic scrapes. Sadly, the version I saw featured appallingly sloppy dubbing into English, which made it feel as if the film was produced in the U.S, not Hong Kong. In a bizarre way, this works to Chan`s advantage. He works well with the supporting cast, generally fooling around and displaying a fine line in comic timing and Buster Keaton style slapstick, which is very entertaining. A good, fun film. Don`t expect a kung-fu classic like "Fist Of Fury" because you won`t get it. But remember, Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee are different. Chan was trained to entertain his audience, and this film will entertain all who see it.

Rating: Summary: Another one of Chan's masterpieces Review: Alongside his greatest achievements, including the Police Story series, First Strike, Rumble in the Bronx, Mr. Nice Guy, and Rush Hour, this movie is absolutely exciting and action-packed. This is one of the best combinations of comedy, martial arts, and action to hit video. Operation Condor is one you shouldn't be without.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Chan Movie Review: Chan goes all out with mind blowing stunts and tons of action and fight sequences. This is a true gem in the Chan mans collection. The best of the bunch is, well, all of the scenes can stand on their own. Of course if the scene in the Nazi war room fighting a dozen mercenaries doesnt do it for you, nothing will. Jackie also shows off some cool gadgets along the way and this movie is regarded as the most expensive to make of all his films.I highly recomend this film!
Rating: Summary: This movie is over rated. Review: Everyone makes a big deal out of this movie. Yes the action is very cool but there is only 2 main ones. The punches sound fake and the plot is very very thin. It gets very boring also and I think when it was brought to the U.S. they cut scenes. The funny part of the movie is when auctioning off the armor Jackie faints.
Rating: Summary: Non stop jackie chan action Review: great chan flick which the action never stops! im not kidding on this one. this is the last film jackie has directed and starred in for a while, highly recommended and worth the money. makes my top 10 list of chan flicks
Rating: Summary: Great Film, but censored comedy?! Review: How could they?! - This American re-relase (complete with snazzy titles) has been cut to ribbons in a vain attempt to keep it serious! How dare they!! slapstick humour IS jackie chan. Whole scenes are actually removed from the film in order to appeal to po-faced Steven segal fans! Having seen the original version on TV, i rushed out to buy it, then being disappointed by the edited version. Its ironic that the humour is censored, rather than the violence. Still, despite these drawbacks, Its one of Jackie's finest. Big budget (without ruining it like rush hour 2!), very funny, and highly original - the fight in the wind tunnel is both spectacular and hilarious at the same time!. Its a bit of a downer that its been edited to tone down the humour, but its still a superb Chan flick.
Rating: Summary: Jackie Chan the Action Man Review: How many times have you gone to see a movie because the comercial clips made it out to be action packed? How many times have you walked away feeling grave disappointment? Well, that will never happen with a Jackie Chan movie (any movie dated 1980-present). If it's action you want. It's action you'll get! He is truely a Master. Segal and Van-Damme pale in comparison to Jackie Chan. Once you've seen Jackie you'll never go back!
Rating: Summary: Four Stars for Chan Review: I bought this DVD knowing it would be cut like most US films of Jackie's. The reason I bought it is because Jackie dubs his own voice - I just love his voice, whether he is speaking Cantonese, Mandarin or English! It just adds so much more to the enjoyment of his movies I feel. And there are cut scenes - the most obvious a very funny scene in the desert with Jackie trying to give his female off-siders water without their bumbling Arab captors knowing! Notwithstanding all this, this film is one of Jackie's best with amazing stunts and the fight scene in the wind tunnel has to be seen to be believed. A must see, whether it is this version or the original uncut Cantonese with English S/T.
Rating: Summary: what a good movie Review: i bought this movie not have seing it and i was expecting it to suck. but it doesn't. the fighting scenes in it are so cool. being a huge jackie chan fan for about 10 years now and seing most of his movies i would know. the stunts are pretty cool in this movie too. this movie has jackies worst injury in it. at the starting he is suposed to jump from a wall and grab on to a tree then swing back to the other side. at the end of the movie they show jackie do that except the branch bracks and he falls on some rocks. he pretty much cut his head open and cracked his skull. i give this movie 4 stars. why not five, becouse nothing can top off drunken master.
