Summary: Killer Action, International Intrigue¿
Review: "Jackie Chan's First Strike" is yet another tour-de-force of hilarious near non-stop action comedy featuring Chan's trademarked ultra-choreographed but jaw-dropping and awe-inspiring just plain AWESOME action sequences (including the trademarked end-of-film outtakes).

THE MOVIE:

"First Strike" follows Jackie's adventures which take him from the snow covered mountains of the Ukraine to the sunny shores of Australia as he becomes entangled in a web of deceit and danger involving a ruthless mobster smuggling nuclear arms, ruthless hitmen and a killer shark!!!

Notable Scenes:

1.The Hotel Fight Scene

2.The Warehouse Fight Scene

3.Hilarious - Jackie stripped down and forced into a funny suit

THE DVD FEATURES:

The DVD is a little sparse on special features, but it does come with a pretty detailed bio (more so than the Rumble in the Bronx DVD) and filmography of Jackie Chan, as well as the movie's director Stanley Tong. Also included is the film's theatrical trailer.

THE VERDICT:

Action movie/martial arts film fans will love this movie. The action, as well as the story, are solid. New fans of Chan will also love this film as its great action sequences. The DVD features, while a bit sparse compared to more recent DVD releases, are alright. Overall, whether you rent, borrow or purchase this DVD/movie is worth a watch at least.

Highly Recommended.

Summary: The best Jackie Chan film ever
Review: Along with Who Am I?, First Strike could very well be Jackie Chan's best film ever. It's the fourth film in the Police Story series, but the plot is incomprehensible. However, it's only a backdrop for some of the most jaw dropping amazing stunts to touch the silver screen. Don't miss Jackie's fight using a ladder or dodging sharks and the Russian mafia.

Summary: More movie and less fighting...
Review: First Strike is another title for Jackie Chan. I believe him to have excellent fighting abiltity and he shows it in the very few fight scenes in this movie. The fight scenes that are there are incredible as usualy... but there are really only two major scenes with combat in them. For a fighting movie, it's not that great, but the fights are amazing. Just too few.

Summary: This is THE Jackie Chan movie to see
Review: First Strike is Jackie Chan at his incredible best. It's a martial arts extravaganza that features some of the most creative action sequences I have ever seen (and I've seen a LOT of action movies). Jackie Chan, as usual, delivers beyond expectations. His charisma is evident and he's funnier than ever. Any action fan must watch this movie. It's definitely worth a rental and worth buying, too, if you like it.

Summary: Jackie Chan at his finest
Review: First Strike is one of the best Chan movies out there. This one not only has loads of action, humor, and amazing stunts, but it features an actual plot! It is very rare to find plots in todays movies, but First Strike shows that it can happen. Jackie Chan is the man!

Summary: Out of the way, Mr. Bond, here comes Jackie Chan
Review: First Strike was one of the funniest Jackie Chan-movies I've ever seen. But in addition to that Jackie had some very good Fighting scenes. My favorite one was the part in that he used the ladder as a weapon (Wow, really awesome!!!!!!) Relating back to the funny parts, they fit perfectly in the story. I bursted out laughing seeing Jackie Chan with a cute seal hat, a Koala bear underwear and a dolphin mascot suite. And as usual I admire his courage in his stunts. But I've never thought he would dare to make underwater fights with real white sharks swimming around, and then with a bloody thumb ( respect, respect!!!!!!) What more can I say............

Summary: First Strike (1996)
Review: GREAT STUFF! This film and the music is very much like James Bond. This is even better than all the James Bond films combined! Highlights: the ladder fight scene and of course the skateboard chase. this chase is like James Bond's but only it ends better because he jumps off a cliff, grabs a helicopter, the helicopter gets exploded, Jackie lets go, lands into an ice frozen pond and stays under water for about 30/40 seconds. Jackie almost died of hypothermia in this stunt!

Summary: Brosnan, eat your heart out!!
Review: I dont't see any other reviews by GIRLS here, but I'll take Jackie over Pierce any day!! Any guy who'll risk his life just so I can oggle at him over popcorn has my undying loyalty. I haven't seen many Chan movies, but this one is definitely the smoothest, most polished I've seen so far. To get a real plot and some decent acting along with Jackie's stunts is just more frosting on the cake! LOVE the outtakes!!
