Rating: Summary: Most Entertaining! Review: Credit given to both Travolta and Cage for their superb performances. I found the "character swithing" most original and how well it was executed. The film has Woo's traits all the way through. This film had me on the edge of my seat!
Rating: Summary: Face/Off was much good Review: Face/Off is nice movie. Travolta and Cage did real well actors. Action in movie was out of world. Story line and idea was very not boring, they was originale. Woo deserve the american Academy Award. Peoples in my town all love movie. All everybody agree it the movie of 90s. I kiss you!
Rating: Summary: a brilliant edge of the seat action film! cage was amazing! Review: i thought this film was great! i had never heard of nicolas cage before and i am now a big fan. travolta and cage worked extremly well together and both did well in role reversal. but i have to say i was extremly impressed with nicolas cage's acting i was hooked! the stunts and special effects kept you wanting more and the film had my full attention! there was alot of swearing but that made it more realistic. i would recommend this film to everyone that wants to see a good action film with however a predictable ending! this film gets a definate thumbs up! everyone should see it atleast once!
Rating: Summary: Another John Woo Great Review: Face/Off the greatest action movie ever made. Well yes...and no. The action scenes are undeniably excellant, the thing is we don't get enough. There is only four major action parts (compare this with Broken Arrow, which is non-stop, is very little) and this a 2hr 20min movie. Most of the movie is based on emotions, which is good for a action movie to have once in a while, say five minutes, but it shouldn't over run the action. The perfromences are excellent, I can't understand how Cage/Travolta didn't even get nominated. Both of them trying to act like each other...but only not, giving the charectors their own touches. The stuntsand effects are brill. The action scenes have multiple things happening, not just an isolated gun-battle. I don't know how I feel about putting a kiddies song over a bloodbath. There's too much cursing (22 f words in the entire movie) altough there's only one in the last action scene. A great action movie worth buying.Notice: The Cage/Travolta scene when they're back to back is also in John Woo's Hard Target.
Rating: Summary: It's a killer movie! =) Review: iT MAY HVE ALOT OF CURSING BUT STILL YOU SHOULD BUY IT ! =
Rating: Summary: One of the best films of the decade Review: Sure, Travolta's Troy and the violence was a bit over the top. However, the concept of changing faces was original. Cage does superb job of playing Archer with a lot of restraint, showing he has more range than Rey Ordonez. This is probably the best action film that has come down the pike since the original DieHard
Rating: Summary: Masterpiece of John Woo Review: In this movie, not only John Travolta, but also Nicolas Cage do his best in this movie! I have never seen such a explosive action triller before (even I saw lots of Woo's film) Two thumbs up~ It's worth to get one (even you've seen this before)
Rating: Summary: FACE/OFF Review: Face/Off is just as good as The Rock or even better,in this movie it's Travolta vs.Cage.Jon Woo did a good job on the action-scenes in this one,if you like non-stop action buy this one. PS:Cage rules!
Rating: Summary: Masterpiece Review: What can I say? Masterpiece! Face/Off's two greatest points are it's leading actors, Cage and Travolta. They're both magnificent. The music is absolutely breathtaking. The plot is a little confusing, but not all bad. The direction is strong, and the guest cast are great. Unfortunately the action scenes are heavily repetetive, but the performances of the two leads are enough to make you watch it through. It's such an emotional film...it's just outstanding. The special effects (what few there are) are great too. A few people hate it, but I've got no complaints.
Rating: Summary: John Woo loves his fire works! ;-) Review: Not a bad film if you haven't seen it before but if you have then you begin to realize how rediculous the whole story actually is (plus over the top fire-works displays!) and the movie just seems to drag on until a more than welcome end.
