Summary: Best slasher flick in years...
Review: This film is 20 years in the making. I just saw it today, and i plan on seeign it again soon. This film attemps to answer the long burning question: Who's the ultimate movie killer? In my oppinion i like jason. Freddy has punch lines which make him enjoyable, but what kind of a wuss kills little kids in their sleep i mean come on, you call him a tough guy? At least Mr. Vorhees is a equal opportunity killer. The movie starts out back in the day when Freddy was normal. It shows him kill a little girl and he explains why he is the way he is and why he cna't kill. We find that fear gives freddy his power and the town of springwood have forgotten about him. Which brings us to jason. Freddy posses as jason's mom and wakes him up from his "grave" where he procedes to kill a skinny dipping woman. "Jason's mom" instructs jason to kill the kids of elm street because they've been bad. that's where our cast of potential victims come in. jason's first official kill is to a guy, who frankly deserved to die, after having sex. He was stabbed in the back multiple times with a machette and then folded in half backwards while still in bed. the kids panic when a police car comes conviently comes driving by. And it's all one cop's fault that freddy came back in the first place because he simply said his name. After that whole ordeal and a couple of failed nightmare killings by freddy. We end up in a rave in the middle of a cornfield. The girlfreind of the boy who got murdered goes off by herself and unwittingly falls assleep. Freddy starts playing mind games with her but he takes so long Jason gets to her first. Thats when freddy gets mad. Minutes later you see to guys who went of by themselves and were just talkin and drinking. They come accross jason and make the mistake of taunted him and one guy poked him prior to getting his head twisted backward. The next guy throws the pitcher of alcohol on him and lites jason on fire with a torch unaware of the fact that JASON CAN'T DIE!!!!!! The guy takes off jason gives chase and throws a flaming machette through his back now jason is in the middle of the party and goes on a rampage killing easily 15-20 people. Skip throgh a couple of deathsand we get to the first freddy and jason confrontation. After taking over a body that is eventually killed by my man J, freddy manages to heavilly sedate Jason with two gaint shots of tranqilizers. Freddy is at his home turf, and he makes the most of it. After growing both arms back when jason cut them off freddy uses him as a human pinball in what seems to be a boiler room. then he drives jasons mechette through him and then drops a huge tank on him, and asks the question he's been asked so many times before Why won't you die. Then jason gets up get's a few good hits in and is stopped by a wall of water. Freddy realizes that jason is afraid of water and utilizes that. Jason turns into a little boy and freddy pries into his head. All this time the kids are transporting jason to crystal lake. The main girl falls asleep and bring freddy back with her and they are in a camp cabbin. Enter a very unhappy jason with theme music and all lokkin bad as ever. Jason takes it to him and throws him outside. When jason begins to walk out the cabin collapses. Freddy then goes after the girl when kelly rowland (destiny's child) begins to insult freddy while praising jason freddy then motions for her to turn around where jason whacks her. Here they go at it again jason has him at first but not to be outdone freddy starts to get the best of him for they go back and forth for a while until being knocked to the docks where jason takes over while they're fighting the two survivors soak the area with gasoline. When jason is about to end it freddy cut's off jason's fingers so he can't use the machette but not befor jason slices freddy's good arm (freddy picks it up later). then there is the explosion when the fire the kids set hit's the conveniently placed propane tanks and blows both freddy and jason into the water. The celebration is short lived because you see the machette and hear the heavy footsteps of who yu assume is jason. But it's freddy raises the machette to finish off the survivors but is stabbed through the back with his own arm by jason just before he falls back in the water. He is then decapitated by the girl and he falls back in too. Once you think it's over it come back to the lake and you see jason rise from the water with his machette in one hand and dum da da dum freddy's head in the other and when you think that jason has finally won freddy's head winks at you and the movie is over. Freddy has speed Jason has power and you have the review of a great movie, enjoy!

Summary: The best movie I have seen in years!!
Review: I went and seen Freddy Vs. Jason last night on it's debut night and it was definatly the best out of either series!!It had enough blood and gore to keep me happy and made me jump on a few occasions.....although very funny at parts,it wasn't trying to have all the humor that Jason X had (which is what made Jason X not as good as it should have been)The main plot of the movie is that Freddy poses as Jason's mom and resurects him to get him to kill a few kids on Elm street so they think it was Freddy so Freddy can come back....His plan works but then Jason (being the psycho that he is) won't stop killing so Freddy decides to get rid of him.....They fight twice....Once in "dream world" and go to Crystal Lake for the final round......I had my money on Jason the whole time.I have to admit though that Freddy did rock in this movie....They laid the smack down on each other....I'm not going to give away the ending but I will say it has a surprise twist ending.......The bottom line.....Dish out 10 bucks and go see this movie.....It is WELL worth the money

Summary: A Big Surprise
Review: Ok let's get one thing straight. This is a horror movie. Now with that being said, you have to go into this movie knowing that their WILL be a pretty bad script, cheesy lines, and of course, bad acting. I'm a huge fan of the Freddy and Jason movies. I have seen all 10 Friday the 13th and all 7 Nightmare movies. So of course, when they have a Freddy vs Jason, I felt obligated to go see it. I went into it expecting a horror movie that was going to be pretty bland, but instead it was a huge surprise. Yes, there are still cheesy lines, but what's different is these cheesy lines are actually quite hilarious. The movie in a way makes fun of itself, and you know what, it works. The acting is not great, but we already deciphered that at the beginning going into it. The plot is actually pretty interesting. The way that Freddy needs Jason to get the kids afraid of him and then becomes jealous because Jason is having all the fun is actually more clever than it sounds. The big fight scene at the end is no short of incredible. The special effects are great and the movie will have you chanting for your favorite character like it was a WWE match. I know I was. Bottom line is, I walked out of the theater feeling that I totally got my moneys worth. The point is you have to go into this movie not analysing it like you SHOULD do other movies, but to just sit back, enjoy the jokes, and enjoy the bloodbath. Because, if you go into the movie expecting a great script and great acting, you will be sorely mistaken. But, if you go into it knowing that the script isn't going to be top notch and that the acting will not be all that great, then you will find yourself surprised at how funny as well as entertaining this movie is, and I'm sure you will have no regrets walking out of the theater.

Summary: A lot of fun to watch
Review: Ronny Yu definately did justice to both of the franchises. Freddy is up to his old tricks, while Jason is as menacing as ever. After witnessing the horrendous "Jason X", I was worried that this one would follow in the same direction. Thank God; it does not. This film is very modern but still manages to get in lots of the horror movie staples of the 80's - T and A, booze, drugs, ridiculous one liners out of Mr. Kreuger, and of course GORE! There is lots of grue in here folks especially in the final act. This is a film made for Freddy and Jason fans and does not disappoint either set. I'd expect to see more movies set in Elm St. and Crystal Lake in the near future. No, this is not a spoiler. There is an end, but you must know that either of these dudes can come back at any time no matter what if you are reading this. Enjoy!

Summary: HOPE IT ISN'T ONE SIDED.
Review: I am going to see this movie later tonite at the midnite show and I'm looking forward to it. I just hope the final confrontation between these two horror icons isn't 20 minutes of Freddy kicking Jason's a--. I've always been more of a Jason fan than a fan of Freddy. I always thought Freddy with all his smart a-- comments and zingers was more of a lightweight than Jason. Jason never wasted time with stupid one liners, if you got in his way he'd just tear your head off and move on. Not neat, but it was efficient. The point being that Jason has survived 10 movies and he was made to look like a bad a-- and I hope in this one they don't have Freddy doing stupid stuff like spanking Jason with his own machette. Here's hoping the producers realized there are just as many Jason fans as there are Freddy fans, if they keep it even it should be a great movie.

Summary: Made Me Feel Like I Was Back in the 80's!!!
Review: This is the only current horror movie that brought back the feeling of an 80's horror movie. The terrible acting, I thought, made the movie even better because that's how the horror movies from the 80's were. If you are like me and prefer B grade 80's horror movies, this is totally for you.

Summary: The movie was everything I thought it would be and more!
Review: I just saw the movie in theatres, and I must say, it was fantastic! The two horror icons fit together in the same film as if they belonged there. The fight scenes were extremely intense, and the story was believable (in the horror universe, anyway, not in real life). All in all, it is a must see for people who enjoy horror movies!

Summary: The Two Titans of 80s Terror Face Off!
Review: And what a battle it is. Freddy is stuck in Hell, forgotten by the Elm Street families he terrorized, so he sends Jason off to stir up some dust and some memories. The Camp Crystal Lake killer does his job, but doesn't stop while ahead. This turn of events angers Krueger to no end, and gives his potential victims an edge. Place your bets.

Freddy Vs. Jason has been in development for nearly ten years (perhaps longer), ever since New Line bought up the rights for the Friday the 13th series from Paramount. For fans of either series, it should prove well worth the wait. Not surprisingly, the movie resembles an entry in the Elm Street series more so a Friday the 13th sequel. This is probably due to the fact that the Elm Street series had a more inventive visual style than the pedestrian Friday the 13th. But the characters play off each other quite well, and the remaking of Jason into a more 'sympathetic' killer works well within the concept of this sequel. Director Ronny Yo has done his homework, fans of either series will be more than happy with this 80s era monster smackdown. Recommended.

Summary: I still don't know if I liked it....
Review: Okay so, Freddy vrs Jason has been years in the making. My question, why isn' it better?! Now I understand this is a horror film but its almost gold in its sterotypes. For example, not only do we see a naked girl within the first 2 minutes of the film, but gee... she runs into the woods and get slaughtered. Who knew? I was extremely dissapointed in Monica Keena's performance. She was far from convincing as the teenage virgin. (sterotype again?) But the thing the bothered me the most...is the underline written plot that makes the audience WANT Freddy to lose as well as the characters in the film. THIS WAS NOT NEEDED, first of all its too much foreshadowing, and second would it have not been simple enough to just say... these two monsters want to kill us, so lets have them kill each other. Its not like Jason wanted them to live anymore than Freddy? Kind of stupid...it was the writers attempt to make a "happy" ending...well if you're a fan of Nightmare on Elm street you WANTED Freddy to win. It was unfair to the audience. The special effects...some were decent but, for the most part... they were cheesy and uneeded. And last, when you're a group of friends in a house...and people are bruitally murdered...you don't go to a party the next night. Where again, people are killed, and then...go to school the next day. Give me a break...but the problem is, Freddy Vrs Jason doesn't have any. Provided no real scares, too much gore to make up for it, and poor acting from teen pop stars. Make it stop!
