Summary: The best film in both of these series since the originals.
Review: I honstly had my doubts about this film after all the ... sequels that had come along in both of the series (Jason X for example), however those doubts were put to rest when I saw this movie for the first time. The story which brought the two villians together was very creative, the special effects were excellent, and the acting was better than average (especially by the beautiful Monica Keena formerly of Dawson's Creek}. Robert England delivered another brilliant performance as Freddy. The film also had more of a main stream feel rather than the B-movie cheapness of so many of the sequels. I would recommend this to any fan of the genre.

Summary: ''A Nightmare On Friday The 13th''
Review: This is the best slasher film of 2003 it has everything horror,comedy,fantasy,action,sci-fi,...,nudity,drugs,and gore.My favorite line from Freddy was ''How sweet dark meat'' when he said it to Kia[Kelly Rowland]...By the way ''Freddy v.s. Jason'' is rated R for strong graphic horror violence/gore,gruesom images, sexuality, drug use,and language.

Summary: Freddy versus Jason, place your bets...
Review: WARNING: Beware of potential spoilers!

Well, the film has been released at last, and I actually managed to see it on opening day. I'm sure that the theater at which the actual premier showing of "Freddy vs. Jason" was giving out free hockey masks or plastic Freddy gloves, but I was not at the premier. Now, on to the film.

First of all, I would like to comment on Jason, now portrayed by the 6'5 Ken Kirzinger, stunt coordinator and part-time Jason fill-in for "Friday the 13th, Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan". I hate to say it, but this guy nearly lives up to Kane Hodder's style at playing the character. Kirzinger manages to get the Jason walk down, and had in fact watched most of the F13 films numerous times to get a good idea on how to act when certain things happened to or in sight of Jason. He was creepy enough, and here we probably saw Jason at his most violent, I mean, there is a great scene in the beginning where he uses his machete to stab a teen many times, and the kid is still twitching, so he grabs both ends of the bed and folds the bed in half while the guy is lying on his stomach, and...heheh...you understand the rest. You can tell that you will see extreme Jason from the moment you see just how much force he puts into jabbing his machete into the floor so he could fold the bed up. Jason is nothing short of awesome.

Freddy. This is the scariest Freddy I have ever seen, and his voice, I think, is definitely much creepier than in the other NOES installments. I'll bet everybody who has been waiting to see Freddy's rage will be satisfied, because towards the end Freddy gets so mad at his plans always being foiled that his skin turns devil-red, his razors grow twice the length, his lips turn black and his teeth become razor sharp. There's a picture of that in the official movie magazine, by the way. All in all, Freddy's the creepiest right here.

The death scenes were also clever, but I've described one big one all ready. The body count is nowhere near as high as in "Jason X", but oh well. Freddy spouts a few good one-liners, such as "Time to put this bad dog to sleep". Overall, I give "Freddy vs. Jason" a 4.7 out of 5. Thanks for reading!

Summary: Classic 80's horror meets action and special effects +++++
Review: Fans of "Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Friday the 13th"
will be pleased with this movie. This is a fast-paced action/horror flick that entertains. What suprised me, however, was the interesting plot. The audience gets to see both a history of Freddy and Jason. This is interesting, but has been overplayed in all of the previous films. The general plot is this: Jason is sent back from Hell by his mother to kill. Meanwhile, Freddy decides to find Jason and bring him back to his world to kill him. Alot of sub-plots develop along the way, which will all involve the audience. The acting by Freddy (Robert Englund) is suprisingly well done. There are a lot of funny lines thrown in the mix all the way through the film which lightens things up and pulls the audience in. This movie returns to the 80's style horror that was so popular. The stories of Freddy and Jason interwoven in the film are actually scarry and thought-provoking. Now, to the action and special effects. This movie superseded my antcipations of how the action and F/X would be played out. The action scenes were intense and visually stunning. It's hard to believe this movie was made under 30 million dollars. This movie is extremely graphic and violent. I would only recommend this movie to adults. Having said that, go see this film and enjoy it for what it is: an under-rated action/horror flick. This is easily the best horror movie since Scream. This movie is an awesome collarboration of the two best horror series of all time. Forget what the critics say or will say, this movie rocks.

Summary: Not as bad as I thought it would be
Review: I have to admit, I thought this movie was going to be STUPID! I felt that way all the way up to the ticket booth and right to my seat in the theater. I loved the first movie of each of the series but truly felt that the rest of the movies took a turn down the "Cheesy" highway. So why did I go to see it on the opening night you ask? Well, I guess it was morbid curiosity! What ever it was that drove me too see it, I was glad I did when all said and done. It started off a little silly when they were setting up the movie but it turned into the typical slasher/horror movie that we all know and love. It was scary, there were allot of screams in the theater I was in and it was fun. The fight scenes between the two characters were cool and not over done. You had your typical sex shots, with nudity and the drug and alcohol consumption that seems to go hand in hand with these types of flicks. Also, I feel they left it open for either a sequel or a continuation of one of the series. If you are a fan of either characters or just a horror buff, then this movie is worth the time and money. Final thought, see it in a good theater, it has an awesome sound track!

Summary: Awesome Movie, and a great Soundtrack!
Review: This movie was by far the best movie I have seen all summer. FREDDY VS JASON is about two great horror movie villians colliding to the death. Personally I like Jason better, but Freddy is funny. Especially when Freddy kept on calling the women b*tches. At one part of the movie they where fighting like crazy there was blood everywhere, and they were playing great music in the backround it made the film a lot better. So if you see only one film this summer see this film it is worth the money!

Summary: The clash of the titans, was it worth the wait?
Review: This is the battle horror fans have been waiting for, but was it worth the wait? I'm not a fan of this genre, but this movie pleased me. The story doesn't make perfect sense but its fun, how they meet up is an interesting premise. rather then tossing Freddy into a ring with Jason, the movie gives them roles, Freddy is more of the villan and jason is more of the victim. This brings a different dimension to the film. But sadly this is let down by the rest of the cast who seem directionless. Luckily when Freddy dukes it out with jason, it is the best battle i have seen in a long long while. With wounderful 'moments' to spice up the action, they fight in a furious bloodbath. Whether the remainder of the film works or not this is what the audience came for and it is well worth it. But there are alot of little problems which stop it from being a classic. Since the fight is worth it, i suppose the film is too. I recomend it.

Summary: A Real Winner
Review: I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie. I walked out of Jason X and didin't much hope for this. Wow!!, I am glad I saw the movie because it brings back the fun and dosen't take itself too serously. Freddie(Robert England) was great as alwyas. Nobody can play this role like England can. He brings scares and humor to the movie. Jason, of course is no one you wnat to mess with. The battle scenes between the two were fun to watch. The gore factor was up a bit, but thats expected with these two franchises. Just go into the movie with the idea of having fun. Don't expect great plot twists, (when has plot been a part of any of these movies).
