Summary: Excellent Movie
Review: I first saw the movie when it was on ABC a few years back. At the time, I thought it was the best I had ever seen. I loved the ending. I was hoping for a sequal but to no avail. I still give it 5 stars!

Summary: Awesome! ¡¡¡
Review: I loved the movie! It has a great theme and the whole story is beautiful. It shows how two diffrent people can attract to each other and that way overcome obstales. I think it's a good way of learning somethign new. Setting and the special effects were very good and so I truly reccomend this movie!

Summary: Don't listen to "Big Brother"!
Review: Lately I have been getting sick and tired of the media/critics telling us what movies and music is good. When most of the time, they are bass-ackwards. With recent examples like Blair Witch Project, which I heard was stupendously stupid! and the Sixth Sense, what a joke..only the ending of that movie saved it from being a flop.

I always said that why Waterworld was so expensive to make was that they had to pay for all of that WATER!! Ha Ha! I've had the movie every sense it came out and thought it was a good modern '90s version of the Mad Max theme. Although it did drag a bit in the middle of the ocean, but only to be saved with Smokers on "slightly used" Jet-Skis!

I did see part of ABC's Director's Cut version and wished that they would release it on video. I personally like the long epic movies.

Summary: a sci-fi classic
Review: I saw this movie on the night it opened.I thought it was one of the most imtelligent and creative movies ever made.Don't listen too all the bull, buy this movie you will enjoy it.

(in ten years this will be considered a cult classic!)

Summary: Loved it,absolutely great
Review: I loved this movie, the idea of the polarcaps melting and the whole world being covered by water is not exactly realistic but fun(After all,its not realism what we want from movies)! The acting is not bad at all and the effects dont rely on CGIs or miniatures but full sized ships(Except the exploding tanker in the end). Its worth every penny it costed to make.

Summary: Its Not That Bad
Review: This movie was doomed from the start. Soon as the huge budget for the film was announced, all the Entertainment magazines began running stories with the head line "That Sinking Feeling". And as soon as it came out, a lot of the critics blasted the film, though when I got the Philly paper, they actualy gave it a good review. I liked this movie. I thought it was really good. Sure, it does tend to get a little "Mad Max-ish" every now and then, but it's still pretty good.

Summary: The greatist movie that never was
Review: Waterworld is the perfect example of a director's dream that was flushed down the toilet. It had the capability to be the best movie of all time, but it was killed by a bad editing staff. I'm sure most people have never seen it, but there is another version of WaterWorld that was never released for the public, except through an airing on ABC in 1998. The original cut for the movie is 4 and a half hours long, and it would have been longer. There was a slave trading camp scene that was never shot because the set was sunk by a storm. The editing crew decided that no body would want to sit in a theater for 4.5 hour, so they cut out 2 hours of dialog. Thats 2 hours of story sent to the trash. I think that it was originally planned to release the full length version, but the idea was dropped when it bombed at the box-office. This is one truely amasing movie, that had the makings to be a modern epic. All the sets actually were floating on water, and all the mariner's boat footage was shot at sea. The story was inspiring, and the plot made you open your eyes to what is happening in our world. At 4.5 hours, a budget of $150 mil, and over 5000 extras, it was a movie of power and prestige. Too bad no one will ever know.

Summary: Waterworld is much better than the critics said
Review: Although it wasn't a perfect movie or anything close, it was a very good, enjoyable movie. What more would you want? I thought this movie would totally suck, I rented it just so I could see how sorry it truly was, however, I ended up liking it so much I had to buy it. This is the last time I listen to the general public about what a good movie is. The general public couldn't tell a good movie from an overrated pile of trash like Titanic. Waterworld is the best high-budget movie ever made, between Titanic, Waterworld, and The Wild Wild West, I'd rather have Waterworld than both of them.

The plot idea of this movie was fantastic, and the beginning was truly great. I liked how they show the ice caps melting, then the land slowly fading away. Most things were fairly well explained, despite peoples nitpicking. I've heard others comment about how it would be impossible to have all those cigarettes, obviously they didn't think of the fact that people DID have plants in Waterworld, so it wouldn't have been impossible they had cigarettes as well.

This movie is very much worth watching, and at the price listed on Amazon.com, it's worth buying as well.

Summary: The critics were wrong again!
Review: I have to admit - I heard about how the critics blasted this movie and I ended up staying away from it. Eventually at the video rental store I came across it and though "what the heck." I LOVED IT AND (eventually) BOUGHT IT! Give it a shot! The critics hated some of the classics!
