Summary: The Best of the Best of the Bonds
Review: If you accept the premise (as I do) that Sean Connery was by far the best Bond, "Thunderball" is arguably the most enduringly enjoyable of his outings as 007.

"From Russia With Love" is truest to the flavor of the Ian Fleming books and "Goldfinger" is the most finely crafted and paced of the films, but "Thunderball" stands alone for gravity of the plot, the worthiness of his adversary (Largo), the beauty of its women, the lushness of its locations, John Barry's equally lush score, and the sheer scale of it!

(The explosion of the Disco Volante broke windows in Nassau 30 miles away.)

The underwater sequences alone put this film in a class by itself, unlikely to be attempted again even with today's advanced technology.

But most of all, it's Connery at the top of his form as James Bond - more than the martini-dry delivery of his one-liners ("I think he got the point.") but his sheer physical presence, a true center-of-gravity that holds the film together.

No one ever wore a business suit or a bathing suit better.

Thirty-five years have not diminished the sheer entertainment value of "Thunderball". If anything, one tends to marvel at how well it all works, how perfectly satisfying it still is. All in all, it's the best of the best of the Bonds.

Summary: One of the best of the 007 adventures
Review: Well, for any who are thinking of getting into the James Bond series, or thinking of collecting them, I recommend beginning with this one. It is by far one of the best in the series, and one of Connery's two best (the other; You Only Live Twice) in my opinion. It has one of the best intro scenes and songs, and ranks up with others such as The Man With The Golden Gun. The movie provides us with one of the best villians in the form of Emilio Largo, SPECTRE #2. Great scenes, such as Bond's narrow escape from Largo's sharks and the underwater battle at the end, and quick one-liners ("Fly here often?") make this movie well worth the price; especially if you choose to go for DVD.

Summary: Look up, look down , look out !!!!
Review: I own all 007 movies and this is one is the best !! It as the best villain : Largo , the best score ( even if the best tracks are not on the soundtrack but you can find an excellent Thunderball suite on the 2 CD set JB 30 th anniversary)The movie features the best looking girls of all 007 movies.( especially Domino and voluptuous Fiona ) The opening scene is exciting. The one that Largo goes to a SPECTRE meeting shows you in 2 minutes how cool and bad no 2 is . The battle underwater is also a gem !! And on top of all, Tom Jones sings the inspiring title track. What more can you ask in a movie ????

Summary: James Bond has returned to a home theater near you!
Review: James Bond returns not on VHS, but on DVD. The DVD format will enhance picture quality, sound quality and the whole 9 yards and I just simply can't wait to see it with all the special features that this format offers. I just love "Thunderball" from beginning to end. Here, it is up to only one man with the number 007. He finds himself protecting NATO from having their own bombs being used against them. Will James Bond be able to unravel the bomb caper? To find out, you must order this title before it is too late.

Summary: Here Comes The Biggest Bond of All!
Review: They went all out on this movie in '65. Connery looks great. Great action. Largo-the best villain. Good dubbing. Has there ever been better underwater action ssequences before? A big score by the one and only John Barry. Play it loud. Hopefully this DVD will look as good as the special edition version laser disc. That thing has everything! Commentary, different themes, documentaries, etc. And it looks beautiful! The best photography of any Bond film. Rated #2 on my Bond list. It's just fun!

Summary: Sexy swimsuits, hijacked nuclear weapons and a shark
Review: There's a sequence in this film where a real shark swims through a tunnel and right past a surprised Sean Connery who wasn't expecting it. Pretty amazing stuff for its day. They actually hired one of two guys in the world who could pilot the jet pack in the opening sequence.

I agree with some other reviews that it's a cut below "Goldfinger." However, it's still a thriller. Now, if they will only release "You Only Live Twice" on DVD!

Summary: Here Comes The Biggest Bond Of All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: By far the best and most exciting of the series. Connery at his suavest, action sequences, and location filming make this film a must see. Truly ahead of it's time in content and ingenuity. The underwater sequences alone are worth the price!Excellent supporting cast, especially Adolfo Celi as Largo and Luciana Paluzzi as Fiona.Wonderful nemesis!Claudine Auger was one of the most beautiful of the bond girls!

Summary: A Very good Bond
Review: This one ain't no Goldfinger, or You Only live Twice, but it certainly beats Bonds' like A View To A Kill, Live And Let Die, and Moonraker. Sean Connery is the best, and always the best. This ain't the best plot, but it is Sean Connery's best role.

Ok, 2 nuclear torpedos are hijacked by noneother than SPECTRE. Emelio Largo, #2 I might say, is responsible. They plan to use the torpedos unless a huge ransom is paid. All MI6 agents are sent out to stop this case. The only succesful agent is 007.

Summary: The best and most complete bond ever!
Review: I own and have watched all of the Bond films and this is my favorite. It contains all of the vital aspects Bond movies have in their best form. Best bond actor, Sean Connery, beautiful girl(s), "Domino", vile henchman, "Largo", great action and gadgets, photography and locations. Not to be outdone, especially by modern Bond films.

Summary: Thunderball thunders into your living room.
Review: What do you get when you mix fine ladies, cool gadgets, heavy spy/fighting action? You get something that makes James Bond 007 immortal in movie history... Yes, Bond is back and he's blasting his way into your living room with the smash title "Thunderball." At least it smashed into me. Hot girls aside (especially Claudine Auger who played "Domino") the movie was brilliant, as Bond movies go. It, like the others before it, have every element that a guy dreams about... A few last words... BOND KICKS BUTT AND IS HERE TO STAY!!!
