Summary: Connery Comes Back and Ruins His Perfect Score!!!
Review: I am a huge fan of the Bond series, and like almost every serious Bond fan, I find Sean Connery to be the best man to take on the role. That being said, I think that he made a big mistake in coming back and making this movie. This is one of the stupidist movies in the series right up there with Roger Moore's blunders, Moonraker, and Octopussy.

One of the big problems with this movie are the villians. Everybody has gotten a little bit of a cartoon character personality that seems very off for this series (well at least until Roger Moore took on the role). For example the homsexual couple (by the way that is not a rumor, it was heavilly alluded to people were just not comfortable with it being right out said back then) Mr. White and Mr. Kidd had incredbly cheesy dialogue and where very hard to believe that they were really worthy opponents of Bond as was shown in their humilating last fight with Bond. Also the idea of making more then one Blofeld was right out of a cheesy sci-fi film and having Blofeld crossdress was a little bit over the line.

I have also read the book seires written by brillian author, Ian Flemming. In the book after On His Majesty's Secret Service, Bond is enraged and alomst sucidal due to what happend to his wife. This movie he seems very calm and it seems as if nothing had even happend. I also felt that this was a very unsactifactory ending to the Blofeld storyline considering he had been a villian since the secound movie the final showdown should have been more exciting. Maybe they plan on brining him back sometime in the future but I serously doubt it.

I gave it 3 stars only because I am a big fan of Sean Connery as James Bond and he did a good job even with how horribly the movie was written. He should of left this as his final movie to do with James Bond (actually he should have left after You Only Live Twice) instead of coming back ten years later to do the Remake of Thunderball, Never Say Never Again. NUFF SAID.

Summary: Delightful and fantastic !
Review: After an absence of four years ,Sean Connery returned to make his sixth entry of the serie after a curious and disappointed movie whose starring was Georges Lazenby and the most statuesque of the Bond girls : Diana Rigg . This is the first of films to utilize American locations Reno , Palm Springs , Los Angeles and Las Vegas . This is a funny entertainmet and even the script is one of the most escapist , Jill St. John acting as the Bond girl ( Pitifully Jacqueline Bisset , Elke Sommer , Virna Lisi or Samantha Eggar were never hired as Bond girls) and the fact you do not have an enemy with heavy weight impact as Gert Forbe (Goldfinger), for instance , the movie is visually stunning , specially in the sea locations. This is the most enjoyable entry , the least serious of all the previous Connery . But it is absolutely saved by a excellent soundtrack , and original situations perhaps.
Personally I am almost sure that there is an underground tribute to that fifties film "The gentlemen prefer it blondes" and the emblematic song : "The diamonds are the best friend of the women"
