Summary: Amusing Fluff
Review: Moonraker is perhaps the most lighthearted of the Bond series, which is good or bad, depending on your taste. Richard Kiel returns as the hapless giant assassin Jaws, and is the main source of comic relief for the film. I always chuckle every time he and Bond encounter each other and the looks they exchange before Jaws tries to kill him. Lois Chiles' Holly Goodhead is one of the more attractive and intelligent of the Bond girls. There is also a beautiful dusky Brazilian agent who unfortunately is relegated to a minor role in the film. The villain, Drax, is the extreme personification of the Malthusian/environmental population control advocates who views humanity as a cancer on the planet and has devised a way to kill off mankind while perserving the animal and plant life. Moonraker takes Bond and the viewer to a variety of exotic locales - Venice, Rio de Janeiro and outer space itself. My main problem with Moonraker is its inconsistency with the way Drax and his henchmen deal with James Bond. First they try to kill him with unnecessarily absurd methods, like the knife thrower emerging from a coffin on a gondola or a giant snake in a pond, and then when the assassination attempt fails, they simply take Bond prisoner. A bullet through the brain would have more than sufficed. Then again, there would have been no movie. The Bond movies are essentially male escapist fantasy, which means that just as with our heroic daydreams, logic must sometimes bow to absurdity. Moonraker has all of the ingredients a successful Bond film requires, a beautiful female agent (Dr. Goodhead), a despicable villain (Drax), not one, but two henchmen (Chau and Jaws), interesting gadgets (the wrist activated dart gun, the boat/hang glider, and the gondola with wheels) and the exotic locations. Whether or not you like this movie depends on if you are a fan of the Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote cartoons, with Bond as the Road Runner and Jaws as Wile E. Coyote.

Summary: The worst of the Bonds
Review: Moonraker is the worst of the Bond movies made. If you are looking to buy just a few of the 007 movies, try For Your Eyes Only or Octopussy. Moonraker turns stupid when it goes to outerspace. The effects are pitiful, especially the firing of laser weapons. Considering that this movie was made after Star Wars, it is amazing that the effects are so shoddy.

Review: There is no doubt that this is the one of the best Bond movies of all time. It rates right up there with The Spy Who Loved Me and Octopussy. The opening parachute bit is perhaps the finest in the entire series. Buy it because you'll want to watch it again and again.

Summary: Moonraker The public attacking Richard Kiel as Jaws
Review: This bond film is great. I personally loved it. There is one problem. The return of villianous Henchman Jaws(Richard Kiel)"the steel tooth Giant" or often referred to in this movie a comic embarrisment. Jaws was good in this movie he presented his part very well. I know its a little corny at the end when he has wine with the girl. He wants to add flavor to his movie. As you know He is very scary and he wanted to show you that he could be funny. This film is great. Jaws and Drax vs. James and Holly is a great team. I hope Jaws returns in the next 007 film.

Review: Moonraker is non stop action from start to finish. Easily the most exciting 007 films in the series. The reason gadgets galore and Jaws the best henchman of all. I love the cable car scene with 007 and Jaws. Love it!

Summary: SIZZLING ACTION!
Review: Why does everyone say it sucks, it's great! In this Bond film, the eleventh, and sequel to The Spy Who Loved Me. Starts off just great, with Bond free falling from a chopper, with the giant, tall, steel toothed villain Jaws returning. After that razzle dazzle, Bond is assigned to go after Hugo Drax, a mad villain who wants to replace earth with his own perfect race from his orbiting space station. Propelling Bond into action, fighting villains, and journeying into space to stop the madman, with the steel toothed villain Jaws returning, I thought it was great! It deserves it's good reviews! Roger Moore isn't that good as Bond, but his performance isn't noticed with all the rush going on. I loved it, and I want to own it!

Summary: One of the most amusing films of the series!
Review: Moonraker is the eleventh film in Bond series, and the fourth performed by Roger Moore. Although the story is quite similar to The Spy Who Love Me, the film brings us great moments of joy. In this adventure, 007 must save the world by going to outer-space. This is certainly due to the great success of StarWars, in 1979. The major highlights of this film are the duel with Jaws in Rio, the Venice Gondola and, of course, the space battle. There are great locations too, like Rio de Janeiro, Venice, California. Richard Kiel's return as JAWS is just wonderful, and gives a comic relief for the movie. I recommend this film to any Bond fan, I am sure you will enjoy it at all! Don't miss!!!

Summary: Not bad , but not outstanding.....
Review: MOONRAKER is okay and has a couple of good moments.The locations are beautiful ;007 travels to California,Venice,Brazil and Outer Space!Unfortunatly,this eleventh entry in the Bond series remains underrated and was never taken to heart by most fans.A plot that was definetly inspired by Star Wars and actors who do not seem to take their roles seriously may have something to do with it. Dr Holly Goodhead(Lois Chiles) is pretty but never had a status as a memorable Bond girl. Hugo Drax(Michael Longsdale) is not a classic example of a head villain.However,Jaws(Richard Kiel) adds flavor to this movie.Despite mixed reviews, MOONRAKER was one of the most grossing James Bond films of all time.I enjoy this movie once in a while,and I find it superior to the two first Roger Moore films(LIVE AND LET DIE and THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN) but inferior to FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, THE SPY WHO LOVED ME,and A VIEW TO A KILL.The theme song by Shirley Bassey is not bad.Worth a look, but dont have too many high expectations..........

Summary: Why?
Review: The novel featured a plot to destroy London by Nazis seeking revenge with a rocket. That book was fantastic. This film is tripe. Hugo Drax is no longer a deranged Nazi, but more like Bill Gates in space and with nerve gas. Why does Drax want to do this? We don't know and we don't care. Richard Keil's return as Jaws and a small cameo appearance by the KGB Director Gogol are the only high-spots. Why do all of these people know that Bond is after them? Is Bond's cover story posted on the Internet? The villain is just dumb and Moore makes loyal fans suffer through this comic strip/film. Fortunately, Dalton took over in eight years. AVOID!

Review: At first I thought this movie was boring and a waste of time. But after I saw it a few more times I began to like it. This movie packs in some great action sequences, like the fight in mid air for a parachute. And Jaws is a big plus in his second apperance. This movie is great and I would encourage any Bond fan to see it.
