Summary: Best Spy Movie Ever
Review: This is when Bond was all about attitude. The second film in the series predates the character's current incarnation - a goodie goodie who always seems to have an exploding gadget to get him out of a sticky situation. In this film, our hero is actually forced to use his brain, since the challenges he faces are genuinely challenging. It leads to some great suspense and a clever plot. It's way better than the current Bond movies, because our hero is comfortable with his role as a smart secret agent who would rather have sex than blow things up. He has not yet begun trying to compete with Arnold Schwartzenegger and James Cameron by spending more time with his weapons than his women.

Beware those who would tell you it is a rip-off of earlier, more boring films. If you actually look into such claims you will find that no previous spy film brought together the character, the plot, the action, and the pacing that make the spy movie genre what it is today. Doctor No started the genre down the right path, and From Russia With Love got it to its destination.

Summary: Probably my favorite Bond movie
Review: I think this is my favorite Bond movie of them all, and I'm not exactly sure why. I think it's because it's one of the earlier Bond movies, but also one of the more polished ones.

One of the things I liked is the gadgets Bond is given. It's the first movie with them, and it fits well, a briefcase with tear gas, ammunition, sniper rifle, and some gold coins. What more should the dashing Bond need? Actually, it's quite fitting for Bond, without the extremeness of something like the inflating coat out of The World is Not Enough. I think it was The World is Not Enough, it might have been GoldenEye.

The scenes aboard the Orient Express, over the hills with the helicopter and the boast scenes are nice, they give just the right amount of fighting and suspense to the movie without being completely over the top. The Orient Express scene is nicely done, the fighting between Bond and the SPECTRE agent looks violent and real, not like some fighting from that time. Both the Helicopter scene and the boat scenes have great explosions, lots of fire and flying things.

Overall I thought this was a really good Bond movie, it captures the essence of the secret agent without being cheesy or going over the top.

Summary: Superb Daniela

And those pictures of Istanbul!
The best of all Bond episods!
Thank you Daniela.

Summary: The Best. Period.
Review: Sean Connery is the Best Bond, anyone who has watched the whole series knows this. This is the ultimate Bond movie: a few gadgets, a lot of suave style and cool acting. NO Bond movie is better if you're looking for more than a few explosions, as it contains the intrigue, excitement, style and flair that all imitations wish they had. If you get any of the older Bond movies, Dr. No, From Russia with Love, and Thunderball are the best choices for the classics. Some of the gadgets seem a little outdated, but the acting of Connery makes them great values.

Summary: Best movie in the series
Review: James Bond is informed by M that a beautiful Soviet agent has fallen in love with him and wishes to defect. She promises to steal a valued decoding machine called the Lektor which M16 desperately wants. Bond is warned the scenario may be a trap, and indeed it is. Unbeknown to the 'defector', Tatiana Romanova, the Soviets and British are being used as pawns in an inspired scheme masterminded by SPECTRE. Tatiana is unaware that her immediate superior, Colonel Rosa Klebb, is actually working for SPECTRE. The plan is for Bond and Tatiana to steal the Lektor then be executed by assassin Red Grant. SPECTRE will then recover the machine and sell it back to the Soviets, embarrassing M16 in the process and murdering Bond in revenge for his killing of Dr No.

Bond flies to Turkey to rendevous with Tatiana and, with the assistance of local intelligence chief Kerim Bey, steals the Lektor and escapes aboard the Orient Express. On board, however is Red Grant. Grant kills Kerim, but is in turn strangled by 007 in a fierce hand-to-hand battle. Bond and Tatiana escape to Venice, destroying a SPECTRE motorboat fleet in the process. There, they are menaced by Rosa Klebb who makes a last ditch attempt to recover the Lektor. Instead, she is killed by Tatiana , who now professes her genuine love for James Bond.

-From The Essential Bond by Lee Pfeiffer and Dave Worrall

Another 'serious' Bond film and like its predecessor it is very true to the novel. It has an outstanding cast, exotic locations, great villains, and an inspired John Barry music score. It is an exciting, well-put-together film which remains my favorite in the series.

Summary: Girls,Guns, and Gadgets!
Review: Although "Dr. No" was the first 007 movie, this is the film that started it all, girls, guns, and gadgets. This film is the first debut of "Q" and is the only film where 007 and Q dont bump heads which is common in all the other films. This is a classic Bond film with "Spector" back to create havic in the world. This movie starts many of the bond immortal icons, face-less vilans, tons of evil hench man and women, fancy gadgets and Bonds power over his women. Classic scenes like the helicopter chase on the mouintain and the train fight between bond and his assasin are just the beginning of this unforgettable Bond film, which started it all for the 007 collection. A true spy flick and one of Connery's Best performances.

Summary: EPIC! An Incredible Work of Cinematic Art!
Review: The second best BOND of the series (next to GOLDFINGER)! FRWL has everything you could ask for in a thriller; action, itrigue, suspense, romance, and some of the greatest action scenes ever captured on film. Peter Hunt's editing is something to marvel at, and marvelously helps to drive the story, along with the wonderful score. But it's the casting that really stands out. Sean Connery is never-better, delivering an outstanding performance as 007! The lovely Lotte Lenya makes a very sinister spy, along with Robert Shaw, who delivers a chilling performance as the assassin Red Grant. Danielle Bianchi is one of Bond's sexiest women, balancing a certain innocence with overwhelming sensuality. All in all, FRWL is a FLAWLESS motion picture (which are few and far between), and, along with GOLDFINGER, ranks as one of the greatest and most popular action/thrillers of all time!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great acting by the pro who started out as 007!
Review: This has everything going for it! Adventure, Esionage, and and great fight scenes!
