Rating: Summary: Classic Frankenheimer action. Review: This movie has the best car chase ever captured on film. The movies was full of action, and also had a quality story. Well writen and directed. De Niro is as good as usual and Jean Reno casted perfectly for his part.
Rating: Summary: Why did DeNiro sign to do this film? Review: I saw that Ronin was the top DVD selling movie so I bought it on pay-per-view. This movie is horrible. The script is terrible and the action sequences consist of 75 blown up cars. If you like DeNiro I suggest Jackie Brown if you want a new film. Wag the Dog is another good new film. Ronin is a disappointment. Rent it before you buy the DVD.
Rating: Summary: I NEARLY WET MY PANTS, THIS IS A GOOD MOVIE Review: I don't know why I wet my pants but the movie is very good. Thrilling, noisy...It also wets your pants. The story is very simple but it makes for a superb movie. The picture quality is great and the special features make good extras. Buy the DVD if you are buying one. Oh, but it might wet your pants.
Rating: Summary: Action-packed and worth every penny! Review: An intelligent, exciting, action-packed thriller, with a terrific turn by DeNiro. This is a movie that really should be seen widescreen, but if you love car chases, beautiful scenery, and being on the edge of your seat, then this is not to be missed.
Rating: Summary: Deniro is on the money as a believable out of work spy! Review: The movie is not for the shoot'em up, crash bang crowd. While watching the movie I felt that we were seeing the dirty underbelly of espionage.Frankenheimer did a great job a creating the look and feel of dangerous professionals going about their jobs in the shadows of society. From the beginning Deniro paints a great picture of a cautious professional spy that has lived a long time and plans on living longer. There are some good twists in the movie. And overall the acting was excellent especially Deniro and Reno. For fans of good storytelling or espionage buffs this is a can't miss!
Rating: Summary: Ronin is a fast paced spy thriller. Review: Ronin is a masterful work of post-Cold War spy fiction with unbelieveable car chases. It has the feel of a European film because it was shot on location. It also has the best ensemble cast of the year! A must see.
Rating: Summary: greattttttt Review: this movie is one of the best action movies ever made i mean the part where takes the bullet outy of hisself speaks for the whole movie
Rating: Summary: One of Frankenheimer's best. Review: Unfortunately, I have had to wait a long time for this excellent film to be realeased on video in England, I even considered good enough to warrant two cinema viewings. Every area of the film was put together with sheer professionalism, including the casting which gave Jean Reno another chance to shine after his brilliant performance as Leon. Although the centre piece of the film is undoubtably the fantastic car chase through the streets of Paris, the build up to it was very well acted by all, adding a hint of tension and expectation. DeNiro's rather painful scene was another highlight, as was Sean Beans' failure to keep his dinner down after some good driving by one of his associates. Some reviews I have read have said that it to slow for an action film, but I don't think the director set out to make another guns and explosions adventure, just a well rounded and very entertaining film. See it!
Rating: Summary: Better car chases than Le Mans! Review: If for nothing else, watch this movie for the car chases. Unfortunately the cars aren't exotic, but they make up for it with pedal pumping adrenaline. 100 mph through the back streets of Nice is a stunt every action junky should see. The plot is great too, it keeps you guessing. A fantastic action flick!
Rating: Summary: WOW!! Review: Incredible car chases and gun fighting along with a good dose of plot and suspense. Good acting, good script, good music, good camera movements...RONIN has it all.
