Summary: Wonderful Family Movie!
Review: Spykids, the name sounds like a typical kids save the worlds thing. But it isn't! It is a great movie for the whole family to enjoy. The movie is based on a normal Latino family, The Cortes's. Everything is not so great in the beginning, Junee (the youngest child) is afraid of many things and is constantly bullied, Carmen (the older sister) is sick and tired of taking care of her baby brother and wishes he was never born. Their parents including Zorro's hearthrob, Antonio Bandares, don't know how to stop this. They would like to take a mission again, as they were spies before their children were born. So they call their fake uncle felix, to take care of the kids and head out. This is where the kids come in. Something and someone has captured the parents! It is up to the kids to save them. In the movie you'll meet, Floog, Mr. Minion, robots, Thum Thumbs and Floog's Flooglies. Great movie for a family night! Definitely deserves 5 stars!

Summary: Pretty Typical Movie
Review: Another story of kids who are smarter then their parents. Low budget script and zero acting go with it.

Summary: SPY KIDS...THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER~
Review: Spy Kids is well plotted, funny, exciting, and imaginative. It is fit for people of all ages. Adults can see the humor and action in as well as the childern. This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I give it two thumbs up. The spy gear was also very interesting and funny. The music was great. It appealed to me. It has many humorous parts and if a second Spy Kids was to come out, you know I'll be there in the front seat.

Summary: SPY Kids is awesome!
Review: I think Spy Kids is super awesome. Alexa Vega is one of my favorite actresses. She is really pretty, and I wish I looked like her. Besides, SPY Kids is a really cool movie. It's a James Bond type movie but it's only for kids. I definitely recomend seeing it!

Summary: Disappointing.
Review: I am a big fan of Roberto Rodriguez's kinetic, non-stop action adventures, but this was a big disappointment. It's not so much the weirdly conservative message - Families are great! Being in a family is an adventure! Follow in your parents' footsteps! Children's TV is evil and corrupting! - than the disappointing CGI effects, in which the cool old-fashioned Gerry Anderson feel is dissipated by the kind of obvious joins between live actor and virtual environment you see in old 30s action movies. This jarring shoddiness prevented me enjoying action which in any case wasn't violent enough, because a kids' movie, to be as satisfyingly silly as 'Desperado'.

Summary: I loved the "thumb-thumbs"
Review: You already know the plot, the parents are spies, they get captured, the kids save them, blah blah blah. But you probably don't know about the thumb-thumbs. Who couldn't love a creature with a thumb for a head, thumbs for arms, and thumbs for legs? How cute! Where would the movie go without them?

Summary: Surprisingly good
Review: When I initially saw the previews for this movie, the only word that came to mind was 'yikes.' But after the film garnered good reviews, I opted to see it, and am extremely glad I did. The film is chock full of good special effects, imaginative sets and vibrant colors, not to mention well-developed characters and witty dialogue. The story opens with a bedtime story of two opposing spies who fall in love, and then marry and settle down to raise a family. The two spies, of course, are the two parents of the young protagonists in the story, Carmen and Juni. After their parents are kidnapped, the kids are forced to save their parents, and consequently the world from the evil Floop. Instead of making the parents dumb pawns in the plot, they are smart and can actually think for themselves. The kids are also independent and face their fears head on, making them perfect role models. Rarely, a movie like this comes along and is entertaining to the parents as well as the kids (The abysmal See Spot Run, for example is entertaining for no one). The film has action, a plausible plot and a ton of heart. This is a great family film.

Summary: OK but Could Have Been Better
Review: We rented Spy Kids and it was ok and had a couple of scenes that were funny but I think it could have been better. It was okay to watch once but not a movie I could watch again and again. It just didn't live up to all of the hype it received when it was released to the theaters though it did have a great cast, Antonio Banderas, Alan Cumming, etc but the movie seemed like it was rushed and over edited and some scenes are a little choppy and also this seems like a movie that a child would find more appealing then a adult but that is just my opinion.
