Summary: Spin off from "St. Helens"
Review: In 1981, "St. Helens" was released on video. Now "Dante's Peak" is pretty much of same. "Dante's" is the worst volcano disaster movie I ever saw compared to "St. Helens" (1981). Very cheesy. I really think it's time to go back to May 18, 1980 to Mt. St. Helens and film that instead.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not bad at all
Review: Dante's Peak is an okay nature gone wrong movie. It's about a volcanologist who discover's that a town's dormant volcano will erupt. This movie was certainly a lot better than the horrible Twister. The special effects in Dante's Peak were incredible.

Summary: Great sound from the dts format
Review: The dts format enhances the experience 10 fold. I recommend it to anyone who has the means of listening in the dts format.

Summary: It's the DTS!
Review: Dante's Peak is a reasonably good story, well acted with excellent special effects and Richard Snell's makeup effects are awesome. I rate the story four stars, but the transfer and sound are a full five stars. We need a rating system here that separates the film from the DVD quality. This was my first DTS CD and I have to agree the sound is MUCH better than Dolby Digital.

Summary: This Movie Was Worth the Weight
Review: For months upon months people with DTS recievers could only listen to music in DTS. Now our prayers have been answered. Dante's Peak is a Great movie that really lets you feel what DTS is all about, less compression and better sound than 5.1. This is a MUST buy. Action, Sound and satifaction. Thanks Univeral, now I hope everyone will follow your lead.

Summary: DTS was great, movie was predictable.
Review: At last DTS dvds are here, this was my first. Sound was very good. Way to go DTS.... Probably 5 to 10 % improvement on DD. However the movie was rather predictable it was still good fun to watch and listen. The LFE effects will rock the house!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: DTS has change the way u hear and watch movies on dvd
Review: DTS there is so much i can say...but is better to listen to it yourself...i think is the greatest thing a step up from ac3...i watched Dante's Peak on ac3 then i switched it over to DTS oh what a difference.....if u don't have a dts processor or a receiver i recommend u get one.. ..this is so far my best in home movie experience..

Summary: A really intense movie! I was up in my seat!
Review: I finally got to see this movie and I really liked it. I thought the story was great. A little bit of romance and action). Although I thought some parts were unrealistic. (The truck not burning up when they drove over the lava) I loved it and I think I'm adding it to my home videos.
