Summary: High level comedy!
Review: This is a must see for everyone who loves a good laugh.
Tears ran down my cheeks many times during this movie as I laughed. I hope all their other films come on DVD some day.

Summary: Dreadful
Review: I go back a ways. I had lots of the Cheech and Chong albums on vinyl back in the 70s and enjoyed them immensely. But I was never interested in their movies. When Cheech starting appearing in movies on his own, I found him amusing, so I purchased Up in Smoke out of curiosity and nostalgia.

I'm probably in the minority, but I found this movie stupid and boring. It has one or two funny moments, but it consists mostly of a long, rambling plot that rips off some of the material from their albums and actually manages to make it NOT funny. The Battle of the Bands segment is the most boring sequence of any film I've seen in years. Awful.

Rent before you buy. You may even feel ripped off that you paid to rent it!

Summary: The First and Best
Review: I have Up in Smoke, Nice Dreams, Next Movie, and Still Smokin. This is obviously by far the best movie made by the pair. The special features had scenes that I have never seen nor heard of, and i've been watching this movie since I was 9. Definately superior to the VHS.

Summary: Cheech and Chong, Up in Smoke
Review: This has to be their best film by far. I almost split my sides laughing at these two clowns. Cheech and Chong go on a hunt for some smoke and end up in Mexico driving a Van made of Hemp back to the states. Their journey is full of laughs, especially at the expense of the police. They are not even aware that the van they are driving is made of the illegal substance. Anyway everyone ends up high including the police which I found extremely amusing. An absolute classic and a must by for all those soft drug lovers and fans.

Summary: Cheech and Chong's hysterical debut
Review: Cheech and Chong are a hoot in their first (and funniest) feature film. The "plot" revolves around two bozos looking to score a lid of weed and get their band off the ground while dodging narcotics officers (led by Stacy Keach) who aren't much smarter. Curiously, film seems harmless despite the subject matter. Probably because it's impossible to take seriously, as Cheech and Chong appear to be nothing more than cartoon characters. Film is still hysterical even after the "Nancy Reagan Just Say No" era.

Summary: Their first and best film
Review: Although their "Next Movie" has some funny scenes in the first half or so, this is probably their finest film overall. Tom Skerrit plays a paronoid Vietnam Viet who flashbacks while talking to the boys Cheech and Chong. When you consider how bad their later films became and that Chong wanted to re-unite with Cheech recently and do more films, you will appreciate the effort made to put together this movie from comedy sketches that barely worked on stage.

Summary: One of the funniest movies that I own on DVD!
Review: Compared to Cheech and Chong's other effort "Still Smokin", this movie will have you in stitches! One scene that had me laughing for days was the part when Chong lights up that big, fat joint, and Cheech says, "Hey, IS THAT A JOINT MAN" and Chong tells him that the joint had Doberman poop in it, I was laughing so hard, that I'm surpriised my neighbors didn't call the cops! If you really want to see a movie that is worth your time and money, "Up In Smoke" is the best. "Still Smokin" isn't worth your time. Buy or rent this movie on DVD! The picture quality on the DVD is so clear and both the 5.1 and Mono Soundtracks on the DVD are very clear and everything!

Summary: Up in Smoke
Review: This is the best movie ever made! I laughed through the whole thing. It's the first and best C&C film. In the movie Cheech and Chong smuggle a van across the Mexican-American border, and the best part is that the van is made of weed. It's full of really funny jokes. This movie has everything. Even people who arn't big C&C fans will love Up in Smoke. A must have. P.S. the joints are huge

Summary: Overall 5 Stars? What more needs to be said?
Review: Truly a classic! No matter how many times I watch this movie, I laugh so hard I cry. It's so great you could watch it with no audio and you would still laugh your a** off!

Summary: funny!!!!!!!!! Rare comedy and a pure Gem !!
Review: What is to add, I remember watching this as a child and this comedy drove me mad, and along with gene wilder & richard prayor , cheech and chong are the funniest pair in the world. Some of the scenes you just know what is going to happend, but you burst laughing anyway, to watch again and again.
