Rating: Summary: Ricky Oh my god Review: I will keep this short. This is a triumph in the history of film... Kung Fu meets gore. It will blow you completely away. Incredible. Buy it now or else you will waste a fortune in late fees, watching it over and over.
Rating: Summary: Why can't they make movies like Ricky in America? Review: I'd probably go to the movies more often if American studios produced flicks like the Story of Ricky. There is nothing else like this on the face of the earth. Scene after scene, Ricky proves that he is one bad mofo by tearing everyone a new a$$hole, literally. There are more disembowelments in this movie, more decapitations and crushed skulls than any other movie on the planet. Daily Show fans take heed, the famous crushing head sequence from Craig Killborne's 5 questions is from this movie. The minute to minute violence is astounding. Do not miss this movie!
Rating: Summary: Nothing Compares to Ricky-Oh Review: Incredible storytelling and spellbinding performances make Ricky-Oh arguably the finest cinematographic work ever produced. The exposition is unforgettable, suspenseful and riveting. The characters, plot, and conflict are introduced with such masterful artistry that the film could end after the first half hour and rightfully be declared as the pinnacle of movie-making.Yet events transpire, with the awe-inspiring resolution filling you with a surge of emotion. One of the most memorable denouements of all time marks the end of the this most memorable of films. If you never see this movie, in no way can you *ever* claim to be a well-educated person of the arts. This is a bona-fide classic, a seminal work that encapsulates our century. You owe it to yourself to see this film.
Rating: Summary: Story of Ricky The Best movie ever! Review: It is a great movie.
Rating: Summary: GREAT Review: Funny, Sick, Stupid. Over all a great movie but slow at times
Rating: Summary: Mythology not gone to waste Review: I saw the story of Ricky for the first and so far only time as a poorly copied, third or more generation, probably illegal copy of the movie. Despite my inability to hear the words (due to the quality) I could read the subtitles. Nothing could prepare me. I had heard random nonsequitors about this movie before I saw it and was not displeased. If you like horor, action, romance, martial arts, dark comedy, and bad special effects, the story of Ricky has it all
Rating: Summary: Hilarious in so many ways Review: There's so much violence and gore in this movie, it'd make a sane man sick to his stomach. Fortunately, I'm not a sane man. The story is a little ridiculous and a few things are pretty dumb but you really stop caring after the first disembowlment. The action is so intense that it can only be described as the "Fist of the North Star" of live action movies. Memorable scenes and characters make it even better and it is accompanied by quite possibly the worst dubbing ever to make it that much more of a masterpiece. If I seem sarcastic to you, you're mistaken. I genuinly think this is one of my favourite movies ever.
Rating: Summary: This is perhaps the greatest story ever committed to film Review: I purchased "Ricky Oh-the Story of Ricky" recently, and it has become the jewel of my home video collection. Innovative use of camera angles, lighting, and gratuitous violence. Despite limited production values, "Riki-Oh" should be placed in the pantheon of the best moments in cinematic history. "Riki-Oh" weaves a tapestry of betrayal, revenge and retribution known to many; but presented in a fresh, dynamic way never seen before. In a way, we are all Riki; victims of circumstance, sometimes forced to disembowel our persecutors with our bare hands. I implore you to sample this film and allow the magic of "Riki-Oh" into your life.
Rating: Summary: One of the Year's Best Films! Review: This is on my top ten list of the years best films for whatever year it came out! Hilarious, heartwarming adventure! The death of Ricky's girlfriend is a scene not to miss!
