Summary: Fun and fast if you love "tongue-in-cheek" humor
Review: I am not one for glorified violence and airhead humor, but for some reason, I enjoyed this movie. The pace was fast, the action was well done, and the actors were fun to watch. Some of them (especially Lou Diamond Philips) seemed to really enjoy their parts. We are not talking about an Oscar-caliber movie here (I thought the profanity was a little too excessive) but it was a great way to spend a Saturday evening. I guess I am just tired of movies trying to make a statement. I just wanted to relax and have some fun - and this movie fit the bill!

Summary: Goes from good to laughably bad.
Review: I don't think this movie was ever meant to be taken seriously, or if it was, the director definitely missed that goal. It starts out as a good action/comedy, with some really funny moments, but as it gets closer to the end, what little plot there was completely unravels, and what was a good blend of comedy and action quickly becomes a cheesy waste of time. If you want to see this movie, perhaps based on the nice trailers you saw for it, I would suggest renting it instead of buying it.

Summary: Since when is this sort of violence funny?
Review: Have we all gone crazy? Since when is a dismembered human being in a plastic bag funny? Is it funny if it's somebody we know? In real life it is an horriffic thing. So then why does it suddenly become amusing just because it's not real? How can we justifyably say that we are not desensitised to this kind of horror when in our leisure time we allow it to entertain us?

Summary: A GREAT ACTION/COMEDY BLOWOUT!!
Review: This movie is one of my favorite DVDS. It is both hysterical and exciting. The humor and subtle jokes were on the mark. This is a comic farce with big shoot outs. The subplots are all very funny and I laughed til it hurt about "Taste the golden spray". Which by the way, is the most expensive movie ever made.

Summary: little little boys posing with big guns & explosive devices
Review: Good looking menu, but a very disappointing film. Perhaps if I was 18 I might enjoy it better but the action sequences were soooo scripted and so obviously choreographed I had to laugh. Utterly ridiculous. Little plot, little character. Perhaps it should have won best picture.

Summary: Woody Allen meets John Woo
Review: After seeing the trailer I wasn't to hip on seeing this movie. But I bought the DVD anyway and was extremely surprised by how much I loved this movie!!! When it is not an action packed film it is a biting comedy. Infact the dinner scene with the In-Laws is straight out of a Woody Allen movie. The entire cast all look as if they are having a blast! Especially Lou Diamond Philips. The extra scenes on the DVD also make Antonio Sabato Jr.'s presence make more sense.

Summary: Very cool...
Review: This flick is incredible! It's gotta be the funniest movie I've ever seen. Mark Wahlberg plays Melvin, a lovable and insecure hit man with an ulcer and a whole lot of woman trouble. Mel's troubles escalate when the girl he and his partner, Cisco (Lou Diamond Phillips), kidnap turns about to be the goddaughter of their boss! Cisco, the guy who orchestrated the kidnapping, pins the blame on Mel, and soon poor Mel has a whole posse of killers after him. Not to mention his fiance's parents are staying over at his place, and there's the small matter of a video tape he forgot to return... This movie has a nice romance twist, and great action scenes, including one where Cisco chases Mel in his car through the woods. Everything plays out at a breakneck, hysterical, thrill-a-minute pace.

Summary: An incrediable BIG HIT

Summary: Fun fun fun!
Review: I actually bought this, which I rarely do with anything outside of the horror genre. If you don't need your movie characters to be in believable situations, you'll love this. Mark Wahlberg does a fantastic job playing the codependent, whipped hitman who just really wants to be loved.

Summary: it was a big hit to me
Review: This movie was an incrediblely great movie, who cares what Siskel and Ebert say. I love how they cleverly mixed comedy and action together. Like the dead body that Marks girlfriend steps on on the shower as they are making out!! Twas a great flik.
