Review: THIS MOVIE WAS VERY WELL PRODUCED. THE ACTORS AND ACTRESS DID FINE JOBS. I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE ACTION THAT THE MOVIE BRINGS. I HOPE THAT FOLLOWING MOVIES ARE AS WELL DONE AS THIS PARTICULIAR MOVIE.

Summary: There is more to the stones than you think.
Review: This movie may at first look like a movie full of incredable stunts and bad acting. But thats wrong this is a great movie. I love the action in this movie. Like the Raptor four wheeler chase. And the fight secnes with Jet Li.
When Mr. Fait (DMX)steals these black diamonds that are wanted by an evil tawinese ex-agent. His daughter is kidnapper and with the help of a tawinese agent (Jet Li) they have to get her back. Soon Mr. Fait discovers there is more to the diamonds.

Summary: eh, it pretty good but nothing special
Review: Jet Li is pretty good in this movie but he could've done better because all of the old chinese martial arts films he was amazing i recommend you go see it but nothing more than that.

Summary: Plot finally outweighs the action.
Review: 'Cradle 2 the Grave' looks like it would be the typical martial arts action flick. But there is very little martial arts, and I thought the action was rather laid back as well. Seems that the Hollywood people are beginning to realize that there is room in the industry for action films with good stories and plots.

In 'Cradle', DMX portrays Tony Fait--a high-tech thief who goes into a building one expects to be well-guarded and steals fifty black diamonds. Of course, he has help. This is one of the best opening sequences I have ever seen. Perfectly timed.

Jet Li plays Su, an agent from Taiwan. He also wants the weird, black diamonds. So does everyone else. Fait and Su team up when Fait's daughter is kidnapped. All of this leads to the climax--another well timed cut between three fight sequences.

The movie only goes bad during the end credits. But I am giving this film five stars because I really enjoyed Anthony Anderson, who finally tones down and plays a more serious role--and he is able to remain funny at the same time.

Summary: Action Flick Serves It's Purpose By Entertaining.
Review: One main problem with movies that come out these days is that they don't know what their purpose is. They try to please everyone, and they end up leaving everyone with an empty feeling. They try so hard to please every genre fan, that the main genre fans are left wanting more. This surely is not the case with Cradle 2 The Grave. The makers of this movie knew exactly what they were looking for; A mindless action movie with cool stunts and exhilirating scenes. And they got exactly what they wanted. Fans of the action genre will be pleased. This movie will not be critically acclaimed, and it's not trying to be. It is simply an action movie to entertain those who are fans and nothing more.

Summary: CRADLE 2 THE GRAVE
Review: Apart from the Kill Bill volume 1&2 and The Matrix 1&2 Hollywood make rubbish martial arts films.
This is no different than Exit Wounds or the equally dire Romeo Must Die. The fundamental problem is making hiphop themed martial arts films is a big mistake! In these films you have good old Anthony Anderson, Tom Arnold as crap comic relief, an oiled DMX and his stage school homeboys trying to act tough . Last but not least you have a bemused Jet Li on wires, thinking to himself ''silly westerners you have missed the point of martial arts''.
Still you do get major league honeys in this type of film!

Summary: yawn............................................
Review: dmx knows his tired rap act is through,so now hes trying to spread his tired image into movies.is it any wonder his movies(AND EVERY MOVIE OF THIS KIND)barely make it to see a second weekend?the saving grace here is jet li(a minimal save).jet li is also in a massive decline and proved that action also needs acting/believable plot.every rapper acts the same way, they are interchangable/easily forgotten.since i rented this,im not so upset.can you imagine how the crowd was during and after movie?rowdy and uncontrollable as if they were on prison leave.to some extent, you can tell the charactor of a person by what entertains them.im pretty sure the males in the audience couldnt wait to be dmx tough and start some nonsense.we all know how tough guys are....tough from a distance and only with alot of backup.typical and pitifull.any monkey can direct movies this horrible, but how can people actually rush to see this?so very sad...............................

Summary: dissapointing
Review: Only saw this movie because I'm a Jet Li fan. This is definately not one of his best movies, probably because he is redelegated to the role of sidekick. Some fights were decent but story wasn't very intertaining. DMX is only good at playing one role-gangbanger. Maybe he should stick to his day job.

Summary: Jet Li...lack of action in this one.
Review: I am a huge fan of Jet Li. My favorite movie is "Kiss of the Dragon," but huge fan or not, I can't be bias.

This movie had so much potential, but something must have went wrong concerning deadlines, script direction (ego's), or a focus on making a quick buck by using stars with a loyal fanbase.

DMX is givin a ridiculous role. He plays a hard-core thief, but yet a caring and "moral" father. Okay. He obviously had to steal quite a bit to be able to hire his posse, purchase hi-tech expensive equipment, have a beautiful home, car, and even a maid.

Jet Li plays a Hong Kong officer traveling to the U.S. to track down some rare diamonds. He is calm and collective throughout the movie, which I guess suits his character. The problem I had with Li, was the lack of action. He does maybe a good 5-10 minutes of sweet fighting. There is one scene where he battles multiple fighters in an underground cage match. The music is pumping and it begins to become tense when Wham! It cuts to another scene of DMX and his gang chillin' as they plan an escape. These two scenes cut back and forth and it loses the intensity. (DMX scene does pick up a bit)

(Spoiler Alert/ Skip paragraph if you want to avoid spoilers)
Finally, the end battle was cookie cutter, standard factory made. Jet fights the main bad thug, DMX fights the boss's right hand thug, girl fights girl, comedy sidekicks fight the comedy sidekicks in which they use a TANK! Spare me! Oh and it has the Over-the-Top Joel Silver Final Battle scene background by adding a ring of exploding fire...a perfect circle.

Tom Arnold and Anthony Anderson, however, provide a few comic relief moments. Gabriel Union is stunning! The most eye-appealing actress to grace the screen (My personal opinion).

I so had high hopes for this flick and that is not my downfall. This movie really isn't that great. It's below par with a lot of script flaws and lack of action.

At least Jet provided us w/ "Hero" (By the way, avoid the dubbed version), plus "Unleashed" is coming out this April where he plays a trained fighter with a child's mentality who is taken in by a blind pianist (Morgan Freeman).
