Summary: A very good movie with great action and clever cameos.
Review: I really loved this movie. I know I'm only in the 7th grade, but I could tell a good movie from a bad one. Another thing is the critics. Some critics take a movie so far that they take family movie and judge it as a drama. I mean, come on, they said Star Wars-Episode 1 was bad. Jeez! But, I think this movie should have gotten better reveiws and a better rep. And whats with the person that reveiwed for this movie on this site on 5/26/98 (just tryin' to be specific!)that said kids in 4th grade and up would not like this movie, I saw this movie when I was in about 1st or 2nd grade and i still like it!

Summary: fun action movie worth seeing
Review: It is such a shame that all the critics slated this movie so much, and don't belive them for a second. This is not arnold's best work to date, neither is it the best action movie ever made, but it is always funny and the action is very well scripted and enjoyable. Overall a fresh idea that has been woefully unapreciated. If you like arnold's movies then give this a go, its great fun from start to finish

Summary: Don't waste your money
Review: It's sad that the average review stars is higher because it doesn't reflect all the people who didn't bother to write about this. Not to mention there isn't an option for giving it no stars. The movie is just plan bad and boring. It's the first movie where I actually felt like I was being tortured while watching it. Luckily the exit was nearby.

Summary: Hey Arnold - Stick to your guns...... blood and gore!
Review: I cant believe that Arnold even gave this script a second look, but then again his english isn't that great. This should be locked in a vault and the key thrown away. This film tried to parody many others but it came off limp and without much bang.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: i bought the movie because its good
Review: it has a ton of reallity check lines and any movie that takes place in action hero land is cool

Summary: Misunderstood
Review: The critics that gave this movie a bad review misunderstood the point. The movie makes fun of the action films. It shows how unreal action movies can be. I thought it was a great movie, and very funny. Critics usually don't have good taste anyway.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Much better than its reputation
Review: I haven't seen the DVD version yet but I enjoyed the theater release very much (saw it twice).

I thought it was one of Arnold's best movies, in fact. I couldn't understand why it got such bad reviews.

Maybe they missed the point of all the self-mocking sarcasm? Arnold got a chance to relax and make some serious fun of himself and his image.

It's a great fantasy, where a kid is sucked into the movie screen, into the world of his favorite action hero movie star. And then he tries to convince the hero that the hero's world is just a fiction in the movies.

Like, the hero gets someone's phone number and the kid points out, so if this is all real, then how come everybody's phone number starts with "555"?

And they're in a video store and they see a poster for a movie that starred Arnold in real life. Only in the hero's world, it starred Sylvester Stallone, and the hero says how much he loved Stallone's performance.

I really think the naysayers just missed the whole point. It really stood up to my 2nd viewing and I will check out the DVD version soon.

Summary: Underrated and unfairly-trashed comedy
Review: Please do not believe what you here about this movie... it's merely everyone jumping on the bandwagon. If you are an Arnold fan or even a fan of action and comedy, it is a must see. Sure it has some flaws, but that is what happens when you try to do something original. Keep an open mind... and bring your sense of humor, some intelligence, and an eye for sarcasm.

Summary: Not to bad!!
Review: The movie was very stupid. It was funny at times but overall the movie could have been made on a higher level. Some little kids may like it because of the animation. Students ranging from grade 4 and up would not enjoy this film. END

Summary: The governator slams congress in this one!
Review: Overall, this movie should've been about 30 minutes shorter. Other than that, It's probably the best Arnold flick ever made. Two moments in this movie are absolutely hilarious. One being his very burning remark about congress being crooks, and the other is when the 'movie' Arnold meets the 'real-life' Arnold and tells him " I don't really like you, you've caused me too much pain." That is the ultimate in comedic irony. Of course, my delivery is too dry. Arnold carries that one off beautifully. This movie was everything it was meant to be. Fast, fun, and full of dry and dark humor. Very good movie.
