Summary: Fun yet sadly lacking
Review: I'm a huge fan of the Lethal Weapon movies. I always found the first one to be one of the great action movies. Up through the third I found these movies packed with all the great elements of the action genre.

The fourth one starts out perfect. A nice exciting and comic battle between Riggs and Murtaugh and the guy with the flame thrower. Other exciting chases and action scenes follow which also include Jet Li who provides some quality stunt work. But the comic relief that appeared in the first three is so overblown that the film feels more like a Saturday Night Live scetch at parts than an action movie. Sure its funny yet it does not agree with the other three either. Gibson's performance as Riggs has become really down to earth too. Not the same guy you saw in the first one at all.

I'm not trying to say don't watch this. It's fun as a nice guy movie. But as for the rest of the films it doesn't compare all that well. Still it is a fun watch.

Summary: Liberal crybabys with guns
Review: Rehash, rehash and more rehash. The powers that be who put this movie together must all worship at the alter of useless political correctness on one hand and anything for a buck on the other. Plot is a bore. They get their liberal dig in on the NRA while using handguns to blow the snot out of everything that moves. Glover can not act. If thats not bad enough Joe P. plays the same wimp he did last installment. I could go into detail but the fact you can buy this movie used for, 4 bucks all day long says it all.

Summary: It's an action movie!!! Do you want them to say fudge?
Review: This is definatly the worst of the Lethal Weapon series but it is not at all a bad movie. If you read all of the one star reviews on this movie you have people complaining about the grea amount of action in this movie and how theres too much swearing. Who the hell are these wusses saying that! If you don't want swearing go watch a Jesus flick. The main problem with this film is that Mel seems to lost anything psyco about him with his mullet. Now hes going around like an old sane person which doesn't hold the same great image that we had seen from him in the first 3 films. Plus in this film I think they put alittle too much in for the ladies. Not a single guy really cares about Ruso getting knocked up. So the last few minutes of the film are alittle anoying. Other than that though its a very awsome movie.

Summary: Not allowed to watch it, but loved it!!
Review: I'm not allowed to watch any of the Lethal Weapon movies because they are all rated R, but the fourth movie is the best of all the other Lethal Weapon movies heck it gave me a different perspective of the first three as an excellent movie.
It's great for adults and it's the best Lethal Weapon movie I guarantee you that.

Summary: Super-"Lethal-Funny-Martial" Weapon !!!!!!!
Review: First of all I apologize that I criticised Tekken so extremly, with too many bad words. It'll never happen again. Okay, now I come to the point : Lethal Weapon 4 is the best of this series. It's a very good mix of Super action, humor, and Martial Arts. This movie had some of the funniest scenes I've ever seen. I bursted out laughing seeing the " Uncle Benny" at the dentist-scene or thecell phone debate between Joe Pesci and Chris Rock. But actually Jet Li was the best of them all with his incredible Martial Arts performance. He played his role as the bad guy very, very extraordinary: Tough, cool, no word to waste and strike without hesitating. And, my foot! Hey, Mr Gibson, Mr Glover!! " You're not too old for this sh**." You were better thanever before.

Summary: Not As Lethal As Others, But Still Fun
Review: It's been six years since we last saw Riggs and Murtaugh and, fortunatley for us, nothing much has changed. Do we really want it too?. This is, without a doubt, the weakest entry in the very popular and successful series. The plot is paper thin and isn't too interesting to really care about. The usual. It's Mel and Danny who, as always, are the only captivating presences in the film. Jet Li, as the main bad guy, has impressive martial art skills, but has little else to offer. He had nothing much to go with here and didn't really need much acting to do. Just as this movie was the weakest entry in the series, Jet Li's villain was the weakest one in the series as well. They could've used him to a much better effect. Joe Pesci is back to bring even more comedic relief. Chris Rock is okay, but just doesn't seem to fit. He is more annoying than anything else. The action scenes are great, as usual, and are lots of fun. For fans only.

Review: I like all the Lethal Weapon movies, and this one is no exception. I don't see why anybody wouldn't like "Lethal Weapon 4" because it's everything most people would expect it to be. It has a lot of fast paced action, good special effects, and a lot of laughs. What made "Lethal Weapon 4" one of the best two of the series in my opinion is the comedy that's in the movie. Without a doubt, it has more comedy in it than the other three movies in the series by far. Some of the funniest parts are when Joe Pesci makes friends with a shark, and the laughing gas scene at the dentist's office. Like always, Mel Gibson and Danny Glover put on great performances, and Joe Pesci is hilarious. I'm not crazy about Chris Rock's stand up comedy show, but he was actually pretty good in this movie. Jet-Li also shows off some of his awesome fighting moves at times in the movie.

If you like movies with a lot of action and a lot of comedy, I recommend getting "Lethal Weapon 4."

Summary: "Lethal" Action, Better Than Ever
Review: An explosive beginning once again kicks off the action for our favorite team of Los Angeles Detectives, Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh, in Richard Donner's "Lethal Weapon 4," starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. In this fourth installment of the popular action/drama series, the pair are confronted with a murderous Chinese Triad with links to Hong Kong, that deals in counterfeiting and the smuggling of illegals into the country, where their new lives become nothing more than virtual slavery. It's a subject that touches a nerve with Murtaugh (Glover), which brings about an irrational decision when he thinks he can help. But not to worry; Riggs (Gibson) is there to back him up, and together they take on one of their most formidable opponents yet, Wah Sing Ku (Jet Li), head of the Triad, who happens to be in the process of discharging a personal agenda from which he will not be deterred. And making matters all the more complicated, Riggs and Murtaugh each have personal issues of their own to deal with: Murtaugh with his daughter, Rianne (Traci Wolfe), and Riggs with Lorna Cole (Rene Russo), the first woman with whom he's had a long standing relationship since the death of his wife. With three highly successful "Lethal" outings under their belts, it would have been easy for director Donner and his stars to phone this one in, make a few bucks and move on. But not these guys; Refusing to rest on their laurels, they deliver yet another exceptional, action-packed movie that maintains the quality and consistency of the first three. Gibson and Glover manage to take their characters to yet another level, keeping it all fresh and refusing to cruise through the comfort zone on auto pilot. Russo, as well, turns in another winning performance; she and Gibson really click together, rivaling the kind of chemistry Bogie and Bacall brought to the screen. Their relationship is extremely well developed and handled with skill by Donner, as is the entire story; it all moves ahead quickly and is never allowed to slow down or meander, which keeps the emotional level and tension high throughout the film. The action is possibly the best of any of the series, with some sequences so good they deserve comparison to John Woo's best. Jet Li is absolutely dynamic, and brings a real sense of menace to his character of Ku. For the first time, you get the feeling that Riggs and Murtaugh may be up against more than they can handle by themselves. And even with all this series has going for it already, in this one they manage to introduce yet another character that adds even more to their formula for success: Chris Rock joins the team as Lee Butters, the next generation of law enforcement, an officer with a degree in psychology. He adds some humor to the proceedings, but more than that, he makes Butters likable and seems to have an immediate grasp of who he is and where he fits in. And fit in well he does, essentially becoming the third member of the team. Leo Getz (Joe Pesci) is back as well, this time as a private investigator still trying his best to ingratiate himself with his friends, Riggs and Murtaugh. Interestingly enough, one of the more touching scenes in the film (near the end) develops during a conversation between Getz and Riggs, one that offers the audience (as well as Riggs) some insight into what makes Getz tick. The supporting cast includes Steve Kahan (Capt. Murphy), Darlene Love (Trish), Eddy Ko (Hong) and Mary Ellen Trainor, reprising her role of Police Psychiatrist Dr. Stephanie Woods for the fourth time. Working from another exceptionally well written script (this time by Channing Gibson), Donner and Company have scored yet another triumph with "Lethal Weapon 4," which can stand on it's own, or as a part of one of the best action/drama series ever made. Which one of the four is the best? Toss a coin; these are movies the way they ought to be made.

Summary: Great Movie, Weak Ending
Review: Just to start off, Lethal Weapon 4 is a great movie. Although it has the same idea as the previous three films, it still is unique in its own way. First of all, Jet Li makes his debut in his first american film...and he's pretty good. Instead of non-stop shooting, they have some good kung foo and hand to hand fight sequences in Lethal Weapon 4. Also, Chris Rock comes in to the story as Detecive Butters and says funny things throughout the movie. I think the makers of Letal Weapon 4 were aiming for laughs more than breathtaking action sequences.

Come to think of it, there actually are some good action scenes. At the begining, Riggs and Murtagh take on a guy with a flame thrower and an assualt rifle and the end of the scene is a fiery mess. Also, (as in all action movies) there is a great car chase. These enteratining sequences show something a little bit new and are more inventive then the previous three films.

Now for the bad part. Two Words: BAD ENDING. It's just like the last three Lethal Weapon fims. Riggs and Murtaugh fight the bad guy hand to hand and win. THE END.

PROS: A little different from the last three films; Very funny; Some good action sequnces.

CONS: BAD ENDING

BOTTOM LINE: A great action movie for Lethal Weapon fans, but if you expect a die-hard ending, you will be very dissapointed.
