Rating: Summary: . Review: On the whole, this film is a bit lacking for a Jackie Chan film. I read there is a much longer version, not available in America? That might have helped, because the movie comes off as painfully short, more like a TV pilot than a full-length feature. And that time is not entirely well-spent. However, this film is home to the ladder-fight scene, which, it is true, is one of the most impressive combat scenes yet seen in a Jackie Chan movie. Worth it just for that, the shark tank fight and a few other quickies were entertaining as well.
Rating: Summary: Another amazing addition to Jackie Chans Police Story series Review: Once again Jackie Chan brings you the best action possible. The scene when he fights with a ladder has to be seen to be believed. From start to finish there is top quality action. Truly magnificent.
Rating: Summary: This is a highly watchable fun movie Review: One of my problems with some of jackies movies is the mediocre production or what I call watchability. This movie combines what we like best about Jackie, and it was made with high quality production so it is very watchable. I bought this one before renting it first and was not sorry. This is one of Jackies best.

Rating: Summary: Not his best, but I sure like it. Review: The first time I watched this the plot was very confusing, but I know it now. There is not a lot of action but when there is it is A+ action. It is comical when you see Jackie with the kowala underwear. Overall the movie is pretty good.
Rating: Summary: Good, but not Chan's best Review: The latest entry in the very distinguished "Police Story" series, this is something of a letdown after seeing movies like Supercop and Rumble In the Bronx. Don't get me wrong, Jackie's stunt work is as insane as ever; name one other actor who will snowboard off a cliff, grab onto a helicopter, then fall about 40 feet into freezing water. The plot, however, is rathter overcomplex and slow, and takes too long to get to the real action. There's only one major fight in the movie, involving Jackie, a group of irate relatives of a murdered man, a large ladder and quite a lot of wooden sticks. It's a great scene, but the only such one in the film. A sequence in a shark tank seems a tad slow, since being underwater doesn't give Jackie an oppourtunity to move really fast and acrobatically, or make his trademark goofy faces. Another scene involving two giant goons in a hotel room and various household objects is somewhat better, but seeing Jackie desperatley run away seems wrong. My final word though? Watch it, but don't make your final judgement on Jackie Chan based on it. Save that for after Police Story, Project A, Supercop, Rumble In the Bronx and Drunken Master II.

Rating: Summary: My least favourite Jackie film Review: The most memorable thing for me in this film is the North Face outdoor suit (in glaring yellow and black) that Jackie ends up accidentally wearing for most of the film. I am sure that sounds superficial, but while I have seen this film twice, I found little in it to rival either the older and cheaper Hong Kong made Chan films, or the slightly bigger budget "Jackie in America" films. I am an Australian, and that may affect my perception of the exotic locales. Frankly it was unconvincing. But please, come ski our fabulous mountains anyway.
Rating: Summary: one of Jackie Chans funest movies Review: There is only one word to describe this movie:fun.Unlike Operation Condor, which had cheezy jokes, and a boring plot, not to mention its terrible dubbing, this movie is very good. This movie has Chan, a secret agent, trying to stop a nuclear weapon from being launched or something.Other than Rumble In The Bronx, this is Chans most action packed movie. The last forty minutes are none stop action.First Strike also features Chans more impressive stunts;using a ladder as a weapon, fighting on stilts, and battling bad guys underwater. Its also one of the funnier Chan movies. My only complaint is that the dubbing could use a little work, but by the first half hour, you dont really mind.(5 OUT OF FIVE STARS)
Rating: Summary: A great film. Review: This film has to be in Jackie's top ten. It is great. The fights are amazing (look out for the ladder fight) and the stunts are just phenominal (look out for the stunt where Jackie jumps off a cliff onto a helecopter and comes so close to the rotor blades, his hat is shredded into peices). A great film. Well worth the money.
