Review: I have watched this movie over and over again on tape and on TV. To me, catching this movie on TV, is like turning the channel over to a baseball game and Mark McGuire is coming to bat. You just got to watch it. Jackie Gleason is perfect as the sheriff and without a doubt he makes the movie with his one-liner cracks. "Look daddy it's a mean old ugly alligator." "That reminds me Jr., I got to call your momma tonight." This is just a great movie and I'm proud to say it's one of my all time favorites.

Review: I remember watching this all the time growing up. Burt Reynolds was my hero and to this day I still wish for a cool black Trans Am. Now that I think about it I still like Coors Beer too. This movie was great. It had quite the stellar cast including Burt Reynolds, Sally Field, Jerry Reed and of course the loveable Jackie Gleason. This film has comedy, action, and a little bit of love all rolled into one.

Review: Smokey and the Bandit is a dramatic comedy based on various folk legends surrounding the questionable "real-life" exploits of bandit Bo Darville and southern sheriff Buford T. Justice. Smokey (Jackie Gleason) gives a powerful performance as Justice who relentlessly pursues a new Trans Am driven by the Bandit (Burt Reynolds) and a runaway bride (Sally Field), as well as his singing buddy Cledus (Jerry Reed) who drives a semi truck full of Coors.

Review: I had a blast watching Smokey and the Bandit. This move put a huge smile on my face. Burt Reynolds as the "Bandit" is the man driving a cool black Trans Am and Sally Field is smokin hot riding shotgun! Together they run interference keeping "smokeys" (Highway Cops) off the tail of his truck driver friend as he transports a shipment of Coors (hard to believe it was only available on one side of the country at one time) across state lines in an attempt to win a bet. Jackie Gleason steals scenes as Buford P. Justice, "the Smokey" his hilarious rants are worth the price of the DVD alone. The definitive chase comedy (Bullitt is THE car chase movie period), this movie spawned two sequels, a dozen knock off movies and the TV series "The Dukes of Hazzard" However, none top the fun of the original. This classic movie is a ton of fun to watch over and over on a date or with the kids.
