Review: Absolutely the finest ancient swordplay movie evermade. A real taste of the difference in cultures between the Norsemen and the people they raided. Tony Curtis and Kirk Douglas are intense with their respectful enmity, but Ernest Borgnine steals the show pleading for a sword before leaping into a bloody fray. This film will leave you yearning for the past.

Review: It has been years since I have seen this movie and I hope they will put it into print again soon. The acting was superb by Douglas, Leigh and Curtis. It was action packed and romantic. It far surpasses many of the movies made today. I can remember it vividly and was completely fascintated with this production.

Review: Kirk Douglas, Tony Curtis, Ernest Bourgnine what powerful characters. Ragnar amd Inar (sic) what a father son relationship. "Odin, bring the wind and turn the tide". I can only hope that Hollywood comes to its senses and releases this on DVD. I would buy it in a New York minute.

Review: This is one of the best adventure films ever made, let alone one of the best casts. Its even better when you realize that the climactic fight scene was not filmed with stunt doubles, and they were realy up there on the tower!

Review: I wanted to add this classic to my collection. I am very disappointed that it is no longer available. In my opinion this was the best viking movie ever made. Please encourage the powers that be to make this movie available again. I was about 10 years old the first time I saw this movie and I believe there are several new generations of adventure loving people who would love this Hollywood Classic! Kirk Douglas, Janet Leigh, and Tony Curtis make this movie well worth watching.
