Summary: A Cult Classic
Review: Out of anyone who played in the film I think George did the best job out of anyone; followed by Gintry. Those who've seen the sequel as well will notice what a superior director Glickenhaus was to whoever directing the sequel that he didn't stick around for. Though it is a rather cheaply made film it's still gritty and effective, yet still can't live up to the fame of Bronson's Death Wish, which is the grandaddy of all vigilante flicks bar none.

Summary: An ok film, Charles Bronson should of been The Exterminator!
Review: Robert Ginty is a good performer. I do not feel he was fit for the role of this vigilante. The story was decent, and the different skylight views of New York City were excellent. For some reason,I think of this film everytime I see or hear someone talk about The Big Apple. One scene that grabs me so much and was done so well by an actress who I believe her real name is Vonnabelle Roocke. She plays a beautiful,innocent 20yr old Times Square Hooker. I haven't seen this actress in anything else and I feel she didn't even get any decent credit for her part. She gets forced against her will, tied up, and tortured with a hot iron by two perverted guys. To me this scene was sad, frightening, realistic, and very gripping. I will never forget this film and I was very dissappointed with the sequel. I wish this good story could of been a Death Wish film instead with Bronson as the Exterminator and still have Robert Ginty in it on the side, along with Christopher George.

Summary: Pretty good low budget vigilante movie
Review: This goes down the same mean streets as the Death Wish movies but with a less stellar cast and a lower budget .The Bronson role is in the capable hands of Robert Ginty whose campaign against the street scum is triggered by the brutal beating dished out to a fellow Vietnam veteran buddy .Having begun by exacting revenge on those responsible he carries on his campaign and targets bigger ,more vicious types ,including child pornography purveyors .
The look of the movie is suitably tough and gritty and Ginty is fine in the title role .Sadly ,the movie is saddled with two of the dullest performers ever to get regular movie work -Christopher George ,who plays the cop on the case and Samantha Eggar as the cop's girlfriend -and proceedings drag when they occupy centre screen
The movie may be in some ways a copy of another work -namely Death Wish -but in another way it anticipates later trenda ,in making the hero an ex Vietnam veteran .This anticipates First Blood by two years
The narrative is somewhat episodic and lacks real drive but the action sequences are punched over with force and power and render it still worth watching ,even if it does look slightly dated by now

Review: this is an overly violent, poorly made version of taxi driver and death wish.i do have to admit though,the vietnam sequence at the beginning is somewhat entertaining.
