Rating: 4 stars
Summary: AKA : "Scorching Sun, Fierce Winds, Wild Fire"
Review: "Dragon Connection"? Where'd they come up with
that title? Oh well, lets give Saturn props for
releasing this old little gem. [I wish some other
savvy kung-fu know-it-alls would write some of these
reviews - there are a lot of worthwhile flicks not
getting reviewed on Amazon's site and I've done my
share, lol!]

This is a fun movie: it's got TONS of characters,
lots of fisticuffs, and several of my favorite
stars of the jade screen. Angela Mao stars the
martial bandit, Violet, a female robin-hood who is
actually the daughter of evil Warlord Tung.
Her male counterpart is played by Tien Peng, a
mysterious martial-type who is himself a rebel leader.
The villain, a deputy of Warlord Tung, is played
by the very capable Chang Yi. Now, topping off this
enticing platter of more-or-less mediocre fare, are
Tan Tao Liang and Lo Lieh!!! These guys are just
hysterical to watch together (sheesh, these two
have never been much in the humor department!)
These guys join the rebels of course and keep things
moving (once they show up, which is about 40 minutes
into the flick). This movie is more the mystery and
intrigue type than the more standard revenge plot.
For more info. on the story itself, do a search for
the original (and more colorful) title listed above.
Now, buy this flick! I rate it so highly because its
fun and quite cheap:), the way these old-skoolers
were meant to be.
