Rating: Summary: Top ten... Review: Top Ten Worst Films Of All Time. This is easily one of the absolute worst films of all time. Their is no talent outside of Eric Stoltz, who has a whole in his throat for most of the movie, yet still finds some way to talk, and Jon Voight who plays his stupidest character ever, but with modest results. The snakes are nearly invisible for most of the movie, the special effects are horrible, there were so numerous editing problems that by the end of the movie, they had piled up so high I couldn't keep count anymore. Jennifer Lopez has no talent. She is not good at anything she does. Voice filters and whatnot on CD's are fine, but just watch one of her Saturday Night Live performances. Awful! It's just a horrendous movie, that, if it had a high budget, wasted it on catering because they certainly didn't spend any of it on art direction/set direction. This movie just plain stinks.
Rating: Summary: Be aware: no extra features Review: I am not going to go into a review of the movie Anaconda b/c others have done a pretty good job with that (My rating would be 3.5 stars). THIS IS A WARNING: Although the Superbit version does have slightly better sound and picture, there are absoultely no extra features. The increase in picture and sound performance is not significant enough to sacrifice extra features. So I reccomend buying the regular version of the Anaconda DVD and not the Superbit version. My rating of the superbit collection DVD is a 2.5
Rating: Summary: A true guilty pleasure Review: Anaconda is the type of film that most are totally embarrassed to say that they enjoyed. After all, its plot revolves around a forty foot snake that's hunting down members of a documentary film crew. Surprisingly, the cast pulls it all off rather nicely. The storyline begins deep in the Amazon rainforest, where a cast of documentary filmmakers are preparing to journey down the river to find a long lost indian tribe. Among the crew are director Jennifer Lopez, technical advisor Eric Stoltz, soundman Owen Wilson, narrator Jonathan Hyde, and cameraman Ice Cube. Soon after embarking on their trip, they come across slimeball Jon Voight, who's lost a propeller on his boat. After boarding, Voight takes charge and begins filling the crew's heads with ideas of capturing an anaconda, promising a big payoff. Needless to say, the snake is less than pleased about all of this, and begins making meals of the inhabitants of the boat. Lopez, in true diva form, wants to knock Voight out of power and get back to civilization before anyone else is swallowed. All of this makes for an interesting hour and a half. The acting is actually quite good. Jonathan Hyde is a kick to watch as the British narrator of the documentary crew, and Voight hams it up in true B-movie form as the snake hunting slimeball. Wilson and Lopez are fun to see, as this film came out several years before either of them became bona-fied movie stars. Of course, the real star of the show is the anaconda, who looks surprisingly real most of the time. Overall, this is a fun film to watch. No, it's not going to win any awards, and was panned by 90% of critics, but its still a blast to sit through provided you don't think about it too much. Some of the special effects are amazing, and the acting isn't half bad either. Well worth your time and money, at least for a rental.

Rating: Summary: This movie was filmed in a parallel Universe... Review: Cue up the DVD at about 71 minutes and watch the waterfall flow upwards as they back the boat up! "Heck, boys, why spend more money to film the boat actually backing up when we can just use stock footage run in reverse?" Hillarious that this could get into a finished film!
Rating: Summary: Ice Cube and J.Lo are the only interesting aspects!.. Review: The only reason why I watched the movie entirely is because of Ice Cube and Jennifer Lopez who both could have spent their time on another picture, but no they had to spend their time on this waste of disc space. If you're an ice cube or j.lo fan then don't watch this movie watch: All About the Benjamins or Barbershop for an Ice Cube movie or Enough and Angel Eyes for a Jennifer Lopez movie. Those are highlight movies for the both of them. DON'T, i repeat DON'T WATCH THIS MOVIE!
